I loved this dress! So many compliments! I always feel the need to coverup my broad shoulders but this actually seemed flattering! My first time wearing a one shoulder. Would buy this dress!

Because there was no stretch, I had to wear the larger size, which fit perfectly!! It was perfect for a super classy wedding in Newport, RI! Easy to move in and I was able to dance all night AND eat ;)

This is the first dress that I have rented from Rent the Runway. I was very pleased with the dress. It fit perfect and was very comfortable. I received lots of compliments. The design in the material make it very elegant. The dress arrived a day before it was suppose to and was easy to ship back after my event. I found that past customers pictures were very helpful in picking out a dress so I especially love that feature offered from Rent the Runway!

This was my first RTR and I'm hooked! There is NO stretch whatsoever in this dress, but the material is thick and holds up well. I had to size up as recommended and found that it was a little big in the bust, but overall it was a great fit and I got so many compliments on it! I felt so pretty in it, it was hard to return!

Perfect! Fitted through then bust and loose in the abdomen. But that's more me than the dress. Very comfortable. Lots of compliments. Will definitely wear again!

The fit was great! My stomach is my biggest problem area and this dress hit it well. It's a very classy dress that can be glammed up with good jewelry and shoes. Would definitely rent again!

I had a great time tonight wearing this dress! Lots of compliments; my husband insisted on the five-star rating. The dress is very comfortable and was light weight enough for a summer wedding in the south. I used a single piece of two-sided fashion tape to keep the sleeveless side of the dress in place for the evening, and it didn't slip once throughout lots of dancing. A standard strapless bra worked fine. I'm a little bigger on the top than bottom, so someone with a little more curves could still wear this size. Ignore the silver chain on my left shoulder, that's my evening bag that I didn't remember to take off for the photo.

My second time renting and LOVED this time around. I needed a formal dress for a black-tie Chamber event - normally would have spent way too long (and way too much $$) finding a dress to this annual event - I had a quick turnaround to find the perfect dress and RTR once again saved the day. Working with the Go To Girls, I narrowed my choice down to this lovely dress. It was perfect - compliments and praise all night long. It really rocked the event - and as you see, the red carpet too! I got both the 12 and 14 - usually end up between sizes - I went with the larger size b/c of my bust - the 12 wasn't going to allow me breathe b/c of the (ahem) "girls." However, fit great - did wear shape fitting garment to smooth the look of the dress - the material and weight of the dress is very exquisite - the 14 was in perfect condition. I'm a short girl, but this dress worked very well with the event, movement, and comfort - yes, comfort! I didn't feel restricted or uncomfortable in my dress all night - sitting and standing. I would suggest identifying a necklace or a shawl. I felt any pictures with my bare shoulder seemed a little plain - but that can be taken care of accessories in the future. I didn't go with one as it felt like it may overshadow the decorative ruffle. THAT would be my only update if and when I do rent the dress - and chances are I will!

Fit great. Hard to zip… need to trust someone for that. A little longer than I'd have liked, but overall it was an amazing dress for the price and timeframe. I tried to rent the same dress in a 6 2 weeks ago, but I've lost 6 lbs It was too big. So… advice… size down. :-)

I wore this dress to a black tie masquerade ball. Because i don't feel as comfortable in long gowns, i wanted a short dress that was still appropriate for black tie. This dress was perfect!

I ordered this dress for my boyfriend's formal dinner at West Point, and it could not have been a better or smoother process. The dress fit really well and was beautiful, and I got so many compliments..it was a nice, fun, classy twist on the standard black dress. Pretty much ran true to size, and since the smallest size was a size up from what I usually wear, it was a little loose in the waist, but nothing some tape couldn't fix. Overall an amazing dress!

I wore this dress to the ballet in DC. I'd never worn a one shoulder dress before and absolutely loved it! It was flirty and sophisticated at the same time. The length was perfect for the ballet. The details of the fabric were really pretty close up.

I'm in between sizes so the 12 was a little too tight and the 14 a little too big, went for the bigger size to be comfortable. Material was heavier perfect for a winter holiday party! It was a little long on me since I'm 5'4" but still looked good.

This was my backup dress for a friend's wedding, but I ended up wearing a different dress to the wedding. They didn't have a size 4 available for the date that I rented so I sized up which gave the dress a little bit of a loose fit, which was okay for me. Anyways, I didn't want this dress to go to waste so I decided to wear it to Sunday brunch with my best friend's family. Absolutely loved this dress!

As a new mom I needed something that was forgiving in all the right areas. I rented a 10 and a 12, I wore the 12 it hid my baby belly and gave me enough room in the chest. I am only 5'2, but the length was perfect. It was long enough without drowning me.

Material is thick so it gave enough structure. It also gave enough room that it wasn't too constricting.

This dress was really stunning. I loved the ruffle detail on the shoulder and the texture on the dress really added a unique touch to the dress. I wore the size 6, and it was a little bit loose; however, I would recommend sizing up in your backup because there is no stretch. This dress hit right above my knee.

Dress fit well and worked great but was a little bit worn. There were some strings hanging down that had to be cut and the lining when it arrived was a little bit rumpled with the bottom of the dress. Lining issue was fixed just by letting it hang up so no issue there. Really liked this dress and would rent it again for similar events. Material is not too heavy so wearing it for an outdoor evening wedding in early May was ok.

I loved the length and cut of this dress. However, while it fit my hips pretty well, it gaped quite a bit on my left side and I was worried I might pop out of it! Also, the black straps used to hang the dress kept coming out. Other than that, I loved it!

The dress was really pretty and it fit everywhere except in my hips/waist area. My butt and thighs are too thick. It caused the fabric bunch up in my tummy area. Too bad cuz I felt it looked really nice. If only all I had to do was stand and just be pretty . . .

I rented this dress for an Annual Awards Dinner for a DC NPO. For a cocktail reception, it was a great choice. The fabric was not too heavy and the brocade pattern added interest. There were several pulled threads in the fabric, but they were not very noticeable. The band at the waist helped create shape, and I received several compliments all evening. To punch up the outfit, I wore red heels and gold jewelry.

The top was a little big, a lot of room for someone that is busty (which I am). It wasn't too tight that I could wear a strapless bra. I also wore spanx to keep everything smooth. I was moving a lot and the dress was easy to move in. It hugged my curves in the right places and I felt fabulous!

Great fit! Runs true to size and I found all of the stylist notes to be true. Plenty of room in the bust. I am 5'9" and this dress hit right above my knee... Would not have wanted it to be any longer. I would have given it 5 stars, but was a little disappointed that when the dress arrived there were signs of wear... Little strings that I needed to trim. Not a major problem at all. This was my first rtr and I can't wait to rent again :)!

While it was a beautiful dress, it was not built for taller women or those with a longer torso. I chose to wear the 8, versus the 6, as it seemed to allow for more length and looked better. Both of them were too baggy. That said, it is such a beautiful dress it still wore well, despite not fitting perfectly.

I rented this dress for a work event in NYC. I thought it was perfect for the event. It came to about knee length which was perfect, and I loved the style. The material was beautiful and had a nice subtle shimmer to it. My only issue with it was that it was a little loose in the hips, but for someone with fuller hips this would fit nicely.

I ordered both a size 6 an 8 figuring one of the two would fit. I tried the 6 on first and had no problem zipping it up, however I noticed a ton of extra material in the stomach...I was so disappointed! I tried on the 8 and it actually fit tighter than the 6 which worked out for me since it fit! I felt very comfortable and super classy in my dress all night. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is not on the petite size however, since the smallest size is a 6. Once again, rent the runway came through!

Bust ran a little big, but nothing to worry about. Length was perfect!

The tonal shadow brocade fabric was lovely: not too clingy, not too stiff. I loved the ruffled one-shoulder neckline with the black satin edging. I was getting compliments all night! My hips are a size 6, but my waist is a size 4- this dress worked amazingly in a 6 and I just cinched the waist with a wide, soft black leather belt. I will most definitely be renting this dress again.

I wore this to a beautiful winter black tie wedding. I felt very comfortable in the dress, loved the pattern of the fabric, that gave it a little more umph that just a plain LBD.

The dress is absolutely beautiful. From the cut at the top, to the ruffle, to the pattern. Now for the sizing - I rented the 10 and 12 as a back-up. I have a broad back, so the 10 fit perfectly except for some slight pulling around the back at the top (even though I was able to zip it fine). So I went with the 12, which was big, but I was less self-conscious about the back. Aside from the size bit, it was also a little long on me (although I am on the shorter side) and hit below my knee. Overall though, I was very happy with the dress!

This dress is so pretty! The print and shape of the dress are unique and so beautifully done. I wore this to a wedding and tons of compliments all night! The fit was okay, as I am significantly larger on the bottom, it was a little tight around my hips and sort of tugged. The top portion was a little large on my frame, also. There is a couple of pleats on either side of the waist, underneath the bust, which I didn't realize from the picture, which also could have been a reason why the bottom portion didn't look perfect on my body type. Overall, I did feel great in the dress and loved all the compliments!

Nice fabric, good fit for someone with curves. The fabric was tight enough and thick enough in the bust for me that I didn't have to wear a bra. Made me feel beautiful!

This was one of two dresses RTR overnight rd after the first two didn't fit correctly. I wasn't sure about the one-shoulder but it was perfect! There is a pattern in the material that dresses it up a bit from your basic LBD, and the shoulder is sassy without being too over the top. Super comfortable too!

Loved everything about the dress; there were some loose strands but other than that it was perfect.

Ended up wearing another dress I rented to the wedding but this was super cute and I would totally rent it again!! The dress I wore was a 14 but the 12 fit in the dress (and I usually wear a 10/12).

This dress fit me like a glove, which is why i rated it "runs small.". I loved it and it was much more comfortable than i had expected. Easy to sit and dance in! I received many compliments and would highly recommend this dress!

I was an officiant for a friends wedding and wore this dress. It was a perfect little black dress that was conservative enough to wear during the ceremony, as well as dancing. Only downfall was it is a little tight through the hips

I wore this to my boyfriend's sister's wedding. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit of this dress. It hugged my curves perfectly and was a great length. A great black dress option!

I wore this to the theatre with my boyfriend in November. I rented 12 & 14. Beware--there is no stretch in this dress. 12 ran a bit tight, but was more flattering around the bust while the 14 gaped a lot on the strapless side. (The little black hanger straps kept coming out all night--maybe get some tape to hold them down?) My boyfriend definitely liked the textured fabric--showed off my assets well even though it was unimpressive on the hanger. This dress did run a bit on the long side for me, hitting barely above my knees. I paired this with small silver jewelry and some strappy Calvin Klein heels to keep it simple.
