I rented this dress as a bridesmaids dress (a backup to my original choice). It fit so well, was a great length and allowed me to dance all night. I wish I owned this one!

This dress was beautiful and I received endless compliments on it throughout the night. It's well constructed and gives a beautiful shape at all times. The fabric is a little heavy so it may get uncomfortable outdoors when warm. I wore about 1.5 in heels with it and the long length was perfect (I am 5'8). I highly recommend renting this dress for any formal occasion.

If you're looking for a gown for your next formal event, pick this one by Carmen Marc Valvo! First of all, this style is so comfortable since there is stretch throughout the entire dress, which is amazing since it is fitted at the hips. There is ample room in the bust so it will definitely work for most cup sizes but do size up if you are fuller in the hips. I love the trendy ruffle detail and high neck but make sure to wear a strapless bra or skip the bra all together. With 2 inch heels, this would sweep the gown so keep this in mind if you are taller than 5'6 and maybe opt for the L if you plan on wearing taller heels. I would 100% choose this as my first style for my next formal affair!

I wore a size 4R but am only 5' 3" but wore with 4" heels and did not have a problem (lift up when using stairs), strapless bra of course. Love the tulip (?) flair bottom. Comfortable for dancing and no worries about wardrobe malfunction while still showing what my daughter calls "shoulder cleavage," and my 18 year old niece commented about how well it fit my hourglass shape, which would not be my normal description...but I'll take it! Tons of compliments. I bought this dress and hope I get to wear it again!

The color is great! This is long but didn't have any issues, I'm 5'3" and wore a 4 inch heel. It's lined so it has a nice weight. It was right fitted but probably couldn't have zipped a size 2. 120lb.

If you need a formal dress but like to cover your arms, this dress is perfection! Flattering, slimming, elegant. I am only 5'2" & the regular was a tad long, but doable.

Loved this dress. Very comfortable, I picked this one since it covered my arms. Was able glam it up with some dramatic earrings.

I'm 5'9 almost 5'20, wore this with small heels and had no problem. Hit the floor nicely. The lining is so flattering, because the dress is so well designed, it was flattering on my body and I received lots of compliments on it. I'm self conscious about myself arms so I loved the option to cover them. Overall loved the dress, RTR dresses never disappoint.

This was my first RTR. Went perfectly. I would recommend booking your dress as soon as you decide...They aren´t kidding when they say ¨1¨ left! This was the 3rd one on my list. I am 5´6 even, 135lbs, . I wear regular length pants and usually wear petite dresses (short length). However after reading reviews about the length being pretty close for someone even my height I opted for the long and it was perfect by the time I wore a 2 inch heel - it looked like I had it tailored just for me. Also...I am a pretty set size 6 (narrow waist, wider at hips, med. bust) the 6L fit fine but with room. But the 4L hugged my curves just a little better so that was the one I went with (no spanx needed either). It was snug but not uncomfortable. This dress does have a heavy lining and smoothed out a lot of imperfections. The color is a very dark navy - more midnight blue. It still stood out against the sea of LBD at the event. Many people commented that because the length was just enough to brush the floor that I looked like I was floating (and no...I never stepped on the hem). This dress also has an armless configuration that looks great too. Since it was a little chilly at the event...I was glad I went with the covered arms. I highly recommend RTR. The dress arrived exactly at the day/time they promised. Both dresses looked perfect. I can´t wait for my next formal event to rent another!

The dress is forgiving and good for anyone with curves. You'll feel beautiful and comfortable all night.

LOVED this dress. It was a beautiful color and high quality fabric that was very flattering. I loved the neckline and exposed shoulders. I wanted to keep this dress!

The material is stretchy, and hugs my body like a glove. The drape on the sleeve hides the upper arm for people that may have big upper arm. The sizing and length was on point.

I'm 5'6.5"-5'7"on a good day. If I had gone with the regular length , it would have been too short. Absolutey gorgeous dress. Little shoulder shows without showing my arms. Perfect.

The fit was perfect and was very comfortable. I wore the regular length with a small heel and the length was just right. If I had worn high heels, I think the long length would have been better. The dress does have a small train that did catch on my heel a few times when walking and I did step on the train when dancing, but I still reccommend this dress!! I felt like the belle of the ball and I hate to send it back!!

This was my first rent the runway dress so i sized up two sizes based on recommendations - and I'm so happy i did. This dress was perfect! There was boning sticking out on one side. No discomfort nor noticeable just odd.

I am 5'5" and about 130 pounds, so I had to wear 3" heels to keep the skirt from dragging -- note that it has a slight train in back. The fit was very comfortable. Wore it with Spanx nylons underneath to ensure a smooth line, but the fabric is thick enough to take care of most of that.

The length was perfect, the shape lovely, and the color fantastic! As a bonus, the dress was surprisingly warm--perfect for the weather. Im typically in between a 12 and 14. The 12 was tight around the neck and across the bust. The 14 felt like it was made just for me. Highly recommend!

Hangs nicely and true to size. I would not recommend renting a smaller size (I did and it wouldn't zip up).

This was a back-up dress RTR sent due to an issue with my original pick. I had chosen it as a back-up, but had I known how fantastic of a dress it was, it would have been my first pick! Love the option of being able to wear it both with the cold shoulder look (I felt so on-trend!) or as a halter (thanks to other reviewers for showing both ways!). It also has a 70s vibe with the ruffled shoulder, but classic with the shape. Bonus points for the structure and placement of the ruffle overlay - I could have worn a strapless bra but didn't feel the need to and was comfortable dancing all night. I usually wear a 6L and the 6L did fit fine, but the 8L gave me a little more room for movement and the buffet. The L length was perfect for me with 2.5 inch heels but it does have a bit of train that I picked up when I was walking and getting in and out of cars. Overall - gorgeous dress, super flattering, and fun to dance in all night.

Rented this gown for my nieces wedding and received so many compliments throughout the whole night! I'm 5'10" and the long length was perfect even with 3 inch heels! I wore the 18L to have a little more room for dancing but even the 16L fit perfectly very true to size! The only con I have for this dress is the boning on the rib area stuck out on the ends a little bit on the 18L and I wouldn't be able to wear a bra on the 16L but that was it! I absolutely loved this dress! I would totally rent again!

This dress was amazing for a marina wedding. It fit very well and the length was perfect. It was also comfortable and it was easy to dance in.

The fit was absolutely perfect. Snug enough that it wasn't tight, but very comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend this dress if you're looking for something modest, yet stunning. The only thing unsatisfactory about the experience was having to return the dress afterward because I wanted to keep it forever ;)

8L Fit perfectly. The dress is modest and was perfect for a Catholic school dance. My daughter wore the dress without putting her arms through the sleeves. It can be worn either way. She is 5'9" and wore it with comfortable flats. Perfect length.

This dress was perfect! I ordered it last minute for a gala at work. The material was far superior than any dress I could have bought from a department store. Having 2 size options was a huge help to have flexibility. I'm 5'9 and was glad I ordered the tall length since I wore heels. Will happily RTR again :)

If you are opposed to multiple complements throughout your affair, this is not the dress for you!! I have never received more complements on everything from the style, fit, color etc.! I felt beautiful, and the peek-a-boo shoulder was the perfect dose of sexy, while still being formal. The sleeves covered my arms which I am self conscience of. The fit was absoulutly perfect and I ended up going with the 14L only because I felt the fabric fell over my curves better, but the dress was stretchy so I could have fit in the 12 as well. I went with the long length only because the regular hit my shoes and I wanted there to be a slight pooling at my feet. The wedding was on a yacht on a chicago fall evening, but the sleeves combined with the heavy luxurious fabric kept me warm and comfortable. The ONLY con I would have was the boning in the bodice was poking me a bit throughout the evening but still not enough to give this stunner anything less then the 5 stars it deserves! I would almost rent this dress again if there weren't so many other options I can't wait to try out!! Thank you RTR for being the cherry on top of an already epic night!! Side note- I have a very large bust (38G) but the dress was perfect for that as well!!

As someone who is self conscious about their arms but still wants to show off their shape, this was a perfect choice for me. It's form fitting before it flares out a bit (mermaid style) and then has the cold shoulder aspect showing a little skin. The fabric has a bit of give but also holds you in which is nice. I loved the navy color as well. I will definitely be renting again and highly recommend.

This dress has a beautiful rich blue color that stands out in a sea of black. I'm a size 6, sometimes 4, with a pear shape, small bust, and broad shoulders. The 6 fit me perfectly (I tried on the 4, and it fit but looked a little tight and I felt exposed). My only complaint is that it didn't have much stretch: I had to get someone to buckle my shoes for me! All in all, the perfect choice for this formal, black-tie wedding!

Great dress and very flattering dress. The dress itself had wires around the ribs that would dig into my chest, but that may just be from wear.

gorgeous, wore a strapless bra...it did run very long. I am 5'2" and curvy even w/4" platform heels it still got in my way of walking but it was manageable since my event didn't require me to walk a lot.
