I rented this for a trip to Georgia. I loved the jacket however the only issue is that it's a bit tight in the arms. I think a medium would of been perfect. The length was perfect for being 5'2. I would definitely rent it again.

I am very bottom-heavy and slender at the top, so the medium was the perfect complementary shape and fit. I love this coat so much that I wear it all the time and will likely purchase it to keep. Height 5:5 Weight: 138 Bust: 34 Waist: 30 Hips: 42

This coat is so on trend! It's warm and fits perfectly. Dress it up or down! May consider purchasing! TTS. Note, it does have shoulder pads.

I was preparing for a work trip to DC and saw other reviews about the tights arms, so I opted for XL in case I needed to wear a suit top underneath. The coat was a little big in the waist and poofy shoulders but still a bit snug in the arms if doing a hug movement. It kept me warm during some very windy days.

If you’re athletic, the shoulders may be tight as other reviewers mentioned. Still a great piece. Length is elegant and has great details. Material isn’t quite what I expected. It’s a little more casual? But overall aesthetic is still put together and chic. Great with sneakers or heels.

Like all reviewers here have mentioned, the arms are tight. Beware if you have big arms; especially if you lift weights and/or have fat arms like I do. With this being said, this was abnormally small, I ordered a large coat. If I had ordered the XL the arms would have probably fit but not the coat itself & the coat is pretty heavy & can be overwhelming because of its structure, fabric and weight. This is an ideal coat for people with slim arms. Didn't wear because it was simply uncomfortable.

Per the other reviews, the coat is tight in the shoulders so hugs we're hard and it was hard to wear a sweater underneath. But the jacket is super warm, you won't need much else! Love the stitching to make it a little more exciting

I was looking for a long camel coat this winter and was so disappointed in this. I'm 5'3" 112lbs and drowning in the XS. RTR please get some petite coat sizes. If you want to look like Kevin McAllister's mom in Home Alone rocking the shoulder pads in this mammoth of a coat, go right ahead. Otherwise, don't rent!

really love the slim fit of this coat however I wish I had gone with a size small. It was tight on the shoulders.

This coat would have been perfect if I was 5'6"... the forever struggle. But, I still loved the funky shape and stayed very warm walking around outside (I live in MI). I was very happy with it!

I kept this piece for so long and didn't want to send it back it was warm and is a lovely color. So many compliments on it. The only issue was the boxy shoulder that had me struggling with my bag on occasion.

I absolutely adored this coat and wanted to love the fit as well, but I didn't. I'm 5'6", 130 and ended up renting an XL. The length, waist, and shoulders were too big, but the sleeves and sleeve length fit better in the XL.

Like everyone else stated, it runs really small in the arms- I had to take it off when I drove because I didn't have full range of motion. You'll also want to be on the taller side as it may swallow you if you're petite. I didn't find the sleeves too 80s-ish but that could be because I'm taller and was more proportional on me. Not sure I'd rent it again because of the arms.

I wanted to love this coat. A well made coat in a classic color with interesting details. What's not to love? Unfortunately, it just didn't really work for me. It is a warm coat so it was functional but there's no slit at the back so it can be difficult to walk if buttoned up. The darts at the waist weren't as flattering as I hoped, the shoulders have a sort of 80s pouf/point, and the pockets are quite far back.

Great color! Got a M, it was a bit tight in the arms but would've been fine to wear. However, it then was wide everywhere else, shoulders, chest, waist, etc. I would maybe try sizing down.

Great coat! I worse is multiple times and received many compliments. It is very long and almost to the floor on me when wearing flats.

I originally rented this coat for a Halloween party, but I ended up wearing it all weekend. Heavier than I was expecting, so it was perfect for outdoor events. The shoulder pads made it a little difficult to move my arms, but it was manageable. Loved it!

This coat was so pretty and was the perfect weight for the weather of the location. It ran SO SMALL in the shoulder area to the point where I could barely lift my arms. Definitely get a size up

I read the reviews and went up 2 sizes and still couldn't get my arms high enough to even make a ponytail. It's comfortable and warm which I suppose is good considering the arms are so tight you can't wear anything with sleeves on it. It was comical. I asked a friend who is under 5 ft and maybe 90 lbs to wear it and she was able to move her arms if that helps.

Other reviews are right - you need to size up for the shoulders. It was tight there (even in an XL and my coats are usually M/L). But the coat itself is HUGE! Like it swallows you up. Don't recommend

I wish I didn't rent this coat, I was hesitant because of other reviews but didn't listen to my gut. The arms were tight, the shoulders made look broad. If anyone watched American Horror Story Apocalypse and wants to dress like one of the zombies, this coat is for you.

I was so bummed when I tried this on. The arms were so tight and the body was so big. Should have listened to some of the reviews!

Loved this coat! Warm for 30-40* weather. Beautiful structure. Arms are slim!! I couldn't hug someone in it, and putting my purse over my shoulder was tough (and I have a narrower top). Slim fit only for this one.

I got so many compliment on this jacket ! The shoulder part is tight, so if you have larger arms then size up.

Surprised at how warm it was! Classic but trendy. The shoulder pads make the shoulders just a little too pointy looking for me, but it's not a huge issue. If you want to wear thick sweaters under it, you may need to consider sizing up!
