This dress was actually my backup dress, but when I tried it on, it was so comfortable, I knew it was perfect for a day of sitting at an event. I was worried that because it's not form fitting, it would just kind of hang on me, but it does have some structure in the waist area, which really accentuated my frame. Overall, really liked the dress.

Fun and flirty! This ran a bit small so I would recommend sizing up as a backup. It ran evenly small throughout. A bit tight in the bust, and a bit tight in the hips. Fabric did not have any give. Length hit me a couple inches above the knee. I liked the movement of the ruffles on the skirt. Although this black was simple, it was certainly not dull. Regular undergarments can be worn, which is a plus! Easy to dress up or down. Versatile!

Rented this dress for a date night and it was absolutely perfect. The silhouette makes this dress the perfect mix of slightly elegance with a casualness to it that isn't over the top. The asymmetrical front is beautiful, and the fitted portion was TTS on me—no issues zipping up the back and wasn't roomy or right anywhere. Paired this with simple pumps and drop earrings. Would absolutely rent this again—so versatile and pretty!

This is my second time renting this dress: the first time was for a wedding about a year ago and this time was for my first week at a new job. The slip underneath is a little tight, but the dress is otherwise comfortable and gorgeous. I would have purchased it if it weren't for the slip.

The slip underneath does run small but can’t see once the dress is on. A little tight across the busy but very comfortable dress. Many complaints!

I loved this dress! It was super comfortable, made me feel super classy, and looked great. The material was wonderful and heavy, perfect for the cold night. It was also easy to wear with black tights and heels. I recieved many compliments, and more importantly, felt great!

Really cute dress with flattering silouette. It came down to my knee and I am 5'4. The arms were great and a cute feature. It was very tight around my chest and I have a small chest! I think a S would have fitted fine.

Love everything about this dress! I originally rented it in size small but it was too tight around the waist. Rented it again in a medium and it fit perfectly. I love how the skirt flows. The shape is flattering and forgiving. A little black dress with some flair. The fabric is not stretchy so probably better to size up a little bit.

If you're on the fence between two sizes, order up. I wasn't sure if I needed an Extra Small or a Small, because of other reviews I ordered the Small and it fit perfectly. I wore this to host an event and got a ton of complements!

This is a really well made and beautiful dress. The only bad thing about it is that the lining has no give to it at all, which made it unforgiving and snug on me. This was a first for all my RTR rentals--that an XS was tight. It fit, but I had no padding in my bra and could feel it on my rib cage all day. Many, many compliments on the dress--perhaps a bit dressy for some people at work, but it could be made more casual with different footwear. Lovely fabric and although the hemline is different heights, it hit me within our dress code standard. I paired it with beige heels and a simple jewel necklace.

I like this dress so much I actually bought it!!!! It's conservative enough to wear to work but also has some style and flair that make it the perfect black dress to wear to a party or a nice dinner. The dress runs small particularly in the bust. I would keep this in mind when selecting a size.

I wore this dress to a family party - I was nervous that it was going to be too much fabric covering me but ended up being perfect with some simple accessories/so much fun to dance in as the skirt swings with the ruffles! DEFINITELY runs small as I'm usually a M/L on RTR in the past but I ended up wearing the XL dress because of my chest - it will get the tightest as the zipper goes up but was great for this party.

Love the flowey bottom and sleeves. It's forgiving with a thick material but just under my chest is very tight. It's fine if I haven't eaten yet but once I have it bunches at the rib cage.

Loved this take on your LBD. Wore for an office party and it was very cute and classic. Medium would have fit well but would not zip over my bust area. Went up to a size large to accommodate (DD)bust size.

Definitely tight in the waist/bra strap area, but not uncomfortable. Heavier fabric. It hung well. It was conservative up too but was short on one of the legs which was a nice surprise. This was a weird photo where I was crouching over to get in the pic but kind of shows that it goes high on your leg in some positions. I wore it to a work party. Don't think I would rent again but it served its purpose well.

The size small is a perfect fit in every regard. I have broad shoulders for my frame and felt like the top half of the dress, especially the volume in the sleeves, overwhelmed me. I ended up wearing it with a denim jacket, tights and boots. I love how fitted the dress is through the ribcage and waist and the unique hem line. It definitely looks classy and more than a basic black dress.

A little tight were the end of the zipper is. It didnt lay correctley.

Other reviews will note that this dress runs small, however, I found that it was true to size for anyone with a modest chest. If you're well-endowed, I would size up. I wore this dress for a Broadway show, and while it was a fitting style for that event, if you are looking for something a bit more eye-catching, this would not be my first choice. It's positives are that it was VERY comfortable, and can be worn with just about any shoe. While I was hoping it would be a little shorter and more fitting, it was not too much fabric or overbearing, which I was worried about because of the layering. The material is lightly crimped with an almost satiny feel, which you cannot tell by the pictures. Overall, a comfortable and modest dress for a formal event.

This dress is really adorable and was so fun to wear. My only qualm is that this ran a bit small. It was pretty snug and I was close to not being able to wear it. I had to lose my bra to make it fit. It was really adorable though!

I'm petite and athletic. While this dress is adorable, it didn't come close to zipping around my upper back -- even though I ordered a size up. The waist was loose-ish, the fabric has zero stretch, and the cut is fun.

While the arms and bottom half fit wonderfully, the chest was so tight. Because I'm a fool for fashion, I still wore it to work. I don't know if sizing up would have worked. I almost think that would have made the dress look too baggy, since the fit everywhere but the chest was perfect. It was probably just not meant for me. The pros: the cut at the bottom was very unique and flattering. I still received a lot of compliments, even though I couldn't take a full breath .

Super disappointed as neither size fit. Sadly neither were even close to zipping despite my small/normal size. I would never think to be a large. Would not recommend!

I loved this dress the fit was absolutely amazing, it was just a little tight in the lower chest. The length was long enough for work but could be short enough for a party/event.

I LOVED this dress. The sleeve design and weight make it a transitional piece, and the skirt is so unique and beautiful. Unfortunately, the top was just a little too tight for me to comfortably wear - it zipped, but I wouldn't be able to handle it for more than an hour or two. I'm going to size up and try renting again.

Fits well for hourglass shape. Im normally S for tops and 8 for bottoms. Large fit well as i do have a large bust as well.

It's a little small so size up. Hugs the body well without showing your belly so you can eat :)
