I cannot begin to tell you the complements I received on this gown. It truly is an elegant dress... the beading is so exquisite and it hugged me in all the right places. I am a 6 in practically everything but I ended up going with the 40L. I had to wear pretty short heels (about 2.5inch) bc otherwise it would have looked like I was going to a flood. There is a bit of stretch in the material, but I still suggest going a size up as your backup especially if you are tall!

Fit great, very comfortable and loads of compliments. I wore this for a New Years Eve wedding and loved it. I am 5'2" and with 3-4inch heels this fit perfectly, so if you are on the taller side definitely go with the L. I felt like a million bucks and the dress was really flattering.

The dress fit perfectly. I am 5'2", but with 4" heels it was the perfect length. Although the dress is form fitting, the fabric wasn't restrictive so it wasn't too tight and was comfortable to wear all evening. I really loved wearing this dress!

I am around 5'6 - 5'7 and wore the 38L probably could have went for the 38R since it was a little longer with Heels. Fit was perfect and not super tight. Loved this dress and had such a great experience with RTR!! Thank you!!

Fit was small. I'm usually a 2 but the 36 just didn't work for me. The 38 was a very comfortable fit. The dress was easy to move in. The shoulder strap was a bit loose but not a huge problem. Would highly recommend it for any black tie event.

I wore this dress for the Military Ball this past spring. I loved the way it fit! It was snug but flexible at the same time. It was easy to move in and dance in. As a very small woman, with barely any curves, this dress made me feel sophisticated and sexy at the same time. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone! The only thing I would caution against is that if you have a small frame and a large chest, this dress might fit very snugly around your chest.

Size runs a bit small. I'm 5'9 and had to wear the larger size. LOVE this dress. It's absolutely gorgeous and everyone thought I looked great.

This dress was absolutely fabulous. It's designed to fit a tall and lean body type. The material fit my body as a second layer of skin. All eyes were on me.

The dress fit very nicely and hugged my figure. The dress length was perfect, but around the bust area it was a tad bit loose. Still overall the dress was simply beautiful.

The dress was beautiful, very comfortable to dance in - the length was long but I wore 3 1/2 inch heels and it worked fine. Only issue was the shoulder strap was too loose, so we safety pinned in it the back at the bottom. Love this dress - thanks you!!

Absolutely fell in love with this dress! I wore it to a charity gala and it was perfect. Very flattering. Beautiful accents. I'm 5'4" and wore 3.5 inch heels and it was the perfect length. Sexy, glamorous, high quality/very expensive looking material. A must rent!!

The dress was form fitting but not tight in the sense that you could not move, dance and/or eat. It fit like a glove and was perfect for a black tie affair.

I wore this dress for my mom'ssurprise 60th b-day party. I wanted it to be perfect and didn’t mind spending extra to secure the right fit. I am usually a size 4 or 6. I ordered a 34R, 36R, and a 38R. Although I'd read in the reviews that this dress didn't stretch much I went ahead and ordered 3 sizes. I thought I could squeeze into a 34R, which is equivalent to a 2R. The tighter the better for me, since I wanted to look my best. Size 34R didn't zip, 36R was perfect, 38R was a little loose on hips but comfortable, However, I went with the 36R, which is an American size 4. I felt it accentuated my figure better. The burst area was tight so if you are big up top, remember there isn't much stretching room. This dress is beautiful! I got so many compliments; I danced all night and felt great in it.

I got what equated a 2R and a 4R at the stylist’s recommendation. I should have gotten a size up. Though it fit just fine, I would have liked to see what a size up would have done. I had plenty of room for my 32 DDD so a smaller busted girl would probably need a strapless or Nu bra. If I had gotten the size up I may have as well. A size up may have been a little longer, which would have been nice; this one was borderline too short on me (I was wearing heels).. The L would probably have been too long. The rouching was very flattering and though I’m normally self-conscious about my belly I wasn’t in this w/ Spanx. I received TONS of compliments and I didn’t see anyone else in this dress. I wore this to a State Governor’s Inaugural Ball and saw plenty of other dresses I had considered on RTR; I’m glad I went with this one! Lastly (but not least), this dress was VERY comfortable to wear and there was never a moment when I felt as though there would be wardrobe malfunction.

I wore this dress to the Golden Globes. I loved how soft the fabric felt and how the ruching made it look good from the front and the back. Very comfortable & easy to wear for a long time. There were a few loose beads but it looked fine.

I worked with a stylist to help me find the right dress. This was one that they recommended and it was amazing! It fit well in the bust and waist. The reviews were accurate that it runs a tad long but I'm 5'2" and wore a 5 inch heels and it was fine! I loved the dress and got a lot of compliments.

They only had a size 36L and 40L available.... The 36L fit great until it got to my boobs and the zipper could have gone up if I forced it but it would have smooched my boobs and i'm 5'9 and it was also to short even in the L. I ended up going with the 40L even though it was big. I wore a strapless bra and that made it fit a little tighter but if I didn't stand straight the strap would have kept falling and it was big on the top of the chest area. You can see in the photos that it hangs a little but it actually looked like it was suppose to. Everyone LOVED the dress and loved my hair and makeup! I looked like an old hollywood starlet at my cousins beautiful wedding! I was def. the talk of the night and everyone looked beautiful but I def. stood out! YAY RTR! Next time I will get the size 4! 38L!

This dress runs true to size. I ordered the 38L and it fit perfect and was the perfect length. I am 5'6 and wore 5" heels and it just touched the ground. This dress is absolutely stunning and I received so many compliments. This dress was also very comfortable to wear.

The dress is tight through hips, with a small amount of stretch. The bust was large on me, but not extremely noticeable. I had to keep tucking and shifting the top throughout the night. If I had a girlfriend to help with pins instead of my boyfriend, the problem could have been remedied. The dress is a gorgeous midnight satin black, with a slight pucker and very subtle train in the back. Detailing and beading is impeccable. I think I could have gotten away with wearing the 40L, but I was in a bit of a hurry to get out the door, and the zipper was ripped a bit at the bottom. I felt beautiful, and received a lot of compliments from people I didn't even know!!!

I usually wear a 6 but in my business dresses they are always a little large so I decided to order the 4 and the 6. I ended up wearing the 4 and it fit great! My only small issue was that the strap was a little loose for my liking. The fabric looked almost satin-y but had some stretch to it. The dress was a little darker than I originally expected but I loved it nonetheless!

I ended up getting this dress because my original dress was unavailable and it was so gorgeous! The 34R fits a size 0 or size 2, but it is really tight on the bust area! I am a B cup and I should have gone up a size. If you have a larger bust, go up a size to be safe. Other than that, I loved the dress! IT fit perfect everywhere else and I got so many compliments! You will not be disappointed with this dress! The 34R hit right at the floor for me (I'm 5'6) so if you plan on wearing heels, you might want to go up a size. I wore flats, so this was not a problem for me.

I am 5'3 and wear a size 10 (44). The dress was definitely meant for the long and lean. The rouching was somewhat forgiving of my belly and I definitely looked really curvy and sexy. People complimented me all night but if I had it to do all over again I would have swapped the dress out for one better suited for my body type.

The fit was great! The dress was very long but I used hem tape with no issues. The one thing I did not consider was the strap. This was a bit big but by putting hem tape on it, it kept it in place.

The shoulder strap was just a tad loose, but overall it was a fantastic dress!

Rented for a back tie event. Looks bluish in the RTR pics but it is a lovely black dress. I felt like a million bucks, this dress is very flattering on.

It's heavy and a little warm so if you sweat when you drink (I do) remember to take breaks and cool down/freshen up.

This dress looks great on. The beading is really beautiful in person. I felt like I was turning heads all night. I asked several people to take pictures including the dress but every one was either blurry or zoomed in to show just faces. The dress definitely benefits from a strapless bra and it's low enough on the side that you'll have to be careful about exposing it ( I used a safety pin).

I wore this dress for a wedding and received compliments all night. Dress is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend. I will say, however, that the dress is very form fitting.

I never received this dress. There was a mix-up with UPS. Fortunately it was a replacement dress for a different order and I was able to wear one of those. RTR customer service was a huge help, and even though I didn't get to wear this dress, I would suggest renting any dress from RTR based on their customer service alone!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this dress! it fits like a glove and made my body look amazing. I got a lot of compliments on it. It was perfect. This dress made me fall in love with RTR! This dress is very unforgiving so if your unsure about certain spots beware! The detail on the dress is beautiful it makes it so unique! I wore it to a Marine Corps ball!

I loved this dress, it was very comfortable, and fit beautifully! If you are 5'7" definately get the long.

Absolutely stunning!! If you are 5'6" and are wearing heels, the L sizes are the way to go. There is enough stretch in the gown to hug every curve. The dress looked like it was tailored to my body.

This dress is gorgeous. I am a usually a size 4L but with the different sizing for this gown i received a 40L. It fit perfectly everywhere, the little bit of stretch helps that. The only thing i was a bit concerned with is that i am an A cup chest so it was a little baggy on the sides and was worried about exposing a bit of side cleavage!! Still stunning and received lots of compliments

This dress is stunning. The beadwork and the material are both amazing. It is very form fitting so if theres anything you don't want to show off I would recommend some shape wear. The material is stretchy so even though it's form fitting, it is still comfortable to wear. A strapless bra works perfectly with this dress without anything showing. I was very happy about that. I am 5' 4.5" and wore 4" heels and the length was perfect. The only thing showing was the tips of my shoes. So if you are taller than me and want to wear high heels definitely get the long. My one complaint with the dress is that the zipper on side kept bulging and I had to tug my dress down to straighten it out. This was really annoying. I have a fairly high waist so it could have just been the way it fit my body. I considered wearing my backup dress in a size up but that was impossible. The chest area was huge and I didn't even come close to filling it out. I would have had to do some serious altering to make it work.. So unless you have a large chest I do not recommend sizing up. There is a pretty big difference between sizes which made it impossible for me to wear my backup dress. Overall I liked the dress and the renting process was so easy. Because of the zipper issue I wasn't super confident wearing it, but I wasn't totally unhappy either. I will definitely be using RTR for my next formal occasion.
