It runs a bit long, even in the Regular length version.

Runs small- and the long is really long! I am 5'8" and was wearing 6" heels and the hem still dragged on the ground.

I'm 5'9 & I had on 4 inch heels, I still had to hold the dress up when I walked. I absolutely love the color & I received plenty of compliments!

This dress was a gorgeous color and style, but there were a few issues. The straps in front were too long, even for my large bust, and I ended up having to use a gold bracelet to hook the back together so the straps wouldn't sag too much. Also, I'm 5'9," but the long was way too long for me, even in 4 inch heels! I was stepping on my dress all night. That being said, it was beautiful and flattering on me.

Dress was gorgeous, but ran very small. I only weigh 120 pounds and normally wear a 0-2, but the dress wouldn't zip around my ribcage. I couldn't wear it! I would rent a larger size for another event for sure because it was really beautiful.

Fit true to size

I rented this dress a couple months before my prom, just to see if it fit. I order the 36 and the 38, and couldn't zip either! I'm usually a 2 or 4 but this dress runs extremely small. Although it didn't fit, it looked amazing! It's perfect for broad shoulders and the length was surprisingly long. I ordered it again in the next size up because it's so beautiful!

I wore this dress to my prom, because I thought it was just beautiful! I'm almost 5'4" and have an athletic-hourglassy build. I originally ordered a 34, but it was WAY too small. Luckily, I had ordered a size up, like RTR suggests. But I still reallly really had to suck it in to get the 36 to zipper completely, though the top was a little bit loose for my cup size, which was upsetting. Also, even though I wore heels, the dress still fell to the floor. I had to pin it up around the layer underneath. Dancing at prom in a long dress gets really hot too, so next year I'll probably wear a shorter dress. I digress. Overall, the dress was gorgeous, but you have to be pretty tall to not trip over it and quite skinny to have it fit comfortably around the waist and still be able to breathe.

I loved the idea of this dress—it felt very modern and daring compared to the usual fit-and-flare styles I wear. But while the draping did disguise my thunder thighs, the stretchy fabric accentuated every bump on my hips and pouffed out all funny at the zipper. That might have been alleviated by going up a size, but then the top definitely would have been too big. As others have said, the dress runs long. I am usually a tall size, but I could have gotten away with a regular in this dress and not tripped over the hemline.

The dress was beautiful and fit wonderfully except it was very long. If you are short like me, I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't plan on moving at all.

I loved this dress! RTR did a great job of helping me when the other dress I ordered was way too long (thank you RTR!). The reason I gave it 4 stars was because it difficult to zip up and it wasn't because it didn't fit. And the other thing is that my bra showed just a bit in the back, but that was fixed with the awesome tape RTR sent with the dress.

Beautiful dress. RTR only had 4L available and it was too small. could barely close it around my ribcage.

This was my backup dress, so I didn't use it. I normally wear a 2-4 depending on designer, and so I got this in a 6. It was really lovely, but there was no way it was even close to zipping up. I probably needed a 10. WIDE size variation.

the dress kind of hangs awkwardly and i couldn't figure out how to get it to hang in a flattering way. I didnt end up wearing it and am not sure i would recommend it.

3 starts only because I did not get a chance to wear it! I was extremely bummed that I did not fit into this dress! I read the reviews and saw that it ran small, so I even got both sizes up! The problem is in the bust line... if you have a small bust line, then it might not be as small, but as much as I tried there was no way this dress was going to zip all the way up... I could honestly tell that someone else had tried to do the same thing. The disappointing thing was that I rented another backup dress (thankfully) and got the same size as I got with this dress. The backup dress was a little too big, but still looked great :) The same size with this dress was too small, along with the size up being too small. The dress itself was beautiful! So, if you do decide to rent it I would suggest going at least two sizes up from what you normally wear.

I naively ordered this in spite of the reviews cautioning that it ran small. I thought I would be safe ordering a size up. Not so much. The ribcage area on this dress is far too snug. It fit fine everywhere else. Had to return it without wearing it. I love the length though- it was long, but I am 5'11'' so it would have been fine for me to wear with heels. The dress is best for very tall people who have very slim frames, in my opinion.

This dress is absolutely beautiful! The color draws you in! Unfortunately I wasn't able to suck in enough to zip it up. My back up was the 6 which wasn't able to be sent to me, but I'm almost positive the 6 would have been too big up top and the straps too big because the 4 was perfect it was just very difficult to zip.

I am a tall size 6 and found this to be an absolutely gorgeous dress, but that it ran very small. The corresponding size (according to the size chart) didn't fit at all and I'm a pretty standard 6. That's why I only gave it 3 stars. I really wanted to wear this dress, but it didn't work out.

When I went to order this dress then only size left was a long. I'm 5'7" and the dress was way too long. I couldn't wear it, even with super tall heels. It was absolutely beautiful though, the color and fabric were very rich. Just don't get the long unless you are really tall!

I normally wear a 2 or 4 and ordered this in a 4L and 6. There was NO way that either size would zip up. The description says that the material stretches, but the super narrow waist doesn't give at all. If I had to guess, I'd need a 10 to make zipper shut--which would make the rest of the dress a tent on me! (If you have the tiniest ribcage imaginable, though, it IS beautiful!)

It truly is a gorgeous dress. I got it in both an 8 and a 10. I'm in-between sizes and I was shocked that when I went to put it on, I could get the hook and eye closed around my side, but there was no way the dres was going to zip up. I was so disappointed. Beware. If you have a broad back, you will want to size up!!

The color was gorgeous! I am 5'8 and love wearing high heels and this dress was still wayyyy to long to wear to an event. I am a size 8 and though this was a little snug accross the ribs, it could have been worn but as mentioned above was just too long!

I took note of the other reviews before I placed my order and made sure to go a full size up (I normally wear a 0-2 so I ordered a 4), but it was still way too small in the torso, I couldn't get the zipper past my ribcage. The dress has beautiful draping and the color is great, I was bummed that I couldn't wear it. Unless you're rib-less, I'd suggest ordering two sizes above your usual size.

This dress runs so small that I couldn't begin to tell you how to order to get it to fit. Which us a shame because it's a GORGEOUS dress. The blue is as vibrant as it is in the picture. And it hangs beautifully right out of the garment bag. Just couldn't get the dress zipped! And it's got an empire waist! Stunningly flawed...

I usually wear a 4 or a 6 in my dresses and got the 4 in this one. I could not even begin to zip it up--there was at least 10 inches off. The chest/ribcage was so incredibly small that I'm not sure it would have zipped up around my 4-year-old daughter. Beautiful dress and fabric, but soooooo small.

I was sent this dress after mine became unavailable. The color is beautiful and I am sure it would have been beautiful.. THe other reviews that say the waist is tiny are not exaggerating. I do not have a large ribcage and I needed a good 4-5 more inches to even think about getting it zipped. Definitely size up 1 probably 2!

This dress runs RIDICULOUSLY small! Probably 4 sizes. I called customer service right when I realized this and a new dress is on its way, thanks to the lovely woman I spoke with. Lets hope it gets here before 4!

Bc the sizing is not standard, i had asked RTR for help with deciding a size. Additionally, i also asked whether they recommended R or L. I was very excited to wear this dress to a black tie wedding. Unfortunately i never got a chance. The dress was not only extremely long, but was also very ill fitting because the size RTR told me was WRONG. I have ordered other dresses in the L length, but would def say to order this one in R.

I where a 4L, so I ordered it in 8L, but it was still extremely small. I could not wear it to my event because of that, so I wore my backup dress. A 10L would have been perfect for me.
