I actually received this as a back up dress when my original pick was malfunctioning- and I'm so glad this was my back up! I wore this for a black tie wedding and the material is perfect-silky and flowy. The dress is a deep/dark royal purple and photographed beautifully. I am 5'4 and my 2.5-3 inch heels made the dress the perfect length. The dress is very fitted in the waist (the zipper was a little tough to get up) but it was very comfortable to wear. I received many compliments through out the night and would highly recommend this dress! :)

I ended up ordering the 36R and 38R and ended up wearing the 38R. I am about 5'5" and 135 pounds and the 38R fit like a glove. It wasn't too long with heels and was very comfortable all night! The only issue is the zipper is a little hard to zip up so you will need some help. I would recommend this dress though in a heartbeat. Hopefully I can rent it again.

This dress fits pretty true to size. The top is a little tight, so I would suggest sizing up if you are larger in the chest or waist. The dress falls nicely and is very forgiving. The suggestion was to size down for your backup, but if you are between sizes, I would size up. The waist was a little tight on me, but sizing up would've been too large in the sleeve. I didn't have to wear a bra with it, as there is a little padding and layering on the top of the dress. The length was perfect! The heels I wore to the wedding were uncomfortable, so I switched to flats before the reception. The regular was a little long with just flats on, but I was careful to hold the dress up a little when I walked or danced, and it didn't slow me down at all. The color of this dress is beautiful! I was a little worried the purple would be too bright, but in person it is a very elegant purple. This dress was perfect for the formal wedding I attended and I received complements on it all night! I was very sad to have to return the dress. I would love to rent it again!

I'm 5'1" and wore 4 inch heels and got the regular length and I was able to walk in this dress well. There were a few times where I had to hold it just to make sure that I wouldn't trip over it but I didn't step on the dress the whole night. This fit was perfect but I did have a little trouble getting the zipper over the waist seam. The built in bra was fantastic as we'll. Otherwise, I absolutely loved this dress and would wear it again for another occasion.

I loved wearing this dress! The color is so pretty in person and the fabric is just lovely. I'm 5'3" and wore about a 4 inch heel and the dress just barely skimmed the ground, I bought hem tape but ended up not using it...although it could have been a smidge shorter. The length, however, didn't interfere with dancing or walking. Overall the dress was wonderful - would definitely recommend renting it.

I received this dress in addition to the Carlos Miele Ocean Olinda gown because they ended up not having my backup size days before my pageant - I was extremely impressed with their quick and knowledgeable customer service people! I wasn't expecting to love the dress so much - it just seemed like a good backup dress - but it was an amazing cut and I was so happy that I chose it! I ended up wearing both dresses for the pageant - this was the perfect dress for the first half of the evening. The purple color was gorgeous and the cut was very slimming! I would definitely suggest getting a backup size in a larger size with this one - while it fit perfectly for a 6, a few pounds either direction would have made a big difference.

I had a little drama because the zipper was very tricky and I thought that the gown was too small, but when I finally figured it out, it was flawless! Beautiful color and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The fit was fantastic -- a bit tricky to zipper but only because it's an invisible zipper. Extremely comfortable to wear. Flowy and elegant. The color is rich and unique.

This was a great dress! I wore it for a black tie party and it was perfect. It is simple but gorgeous. It fit me very true to size. I am 5'-3" and wore 4 inch heels and it was still a little long. I was worried the bow on the shoulder won't lay correctly but I didn't have any problems. Loved it!

This Carlos Miele gown is a beautiful deep purple color (it looks slightly blue in pictures, but it is actually purple in person!) and is a super easy dress to wear. It fits true to size, maybe a tiny bit big so size down in your backup. It is such an easy shape and the fabric felt amazing - I could dance around in this all night!

Wore this to a black tie affair for my husbands work. At 16 weeks pregnant I appreciated the way the empire waist hid my growing belly. I went up a size from what I would normally get to make sure I accommodate my pregnancy and weight gain. It fit well and the length was perfect for my 5'4 frame with 3 inch heels.

I didn't wear this dress because the replacement dress was even more beautiful. However, the dress was easy to wear and looked gorgeous as I walked in it.

I loved this dress. I wanted a conservative gown for a black tie wedding, and this fit the bill perfectly. I am always concerned with my large bust fitting into gowns, but this was roomy enough to accommodate. I wore the regular length and it fit great! Would definitely rent again.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. The color is so original and rich. The dress is so light. The biggest size available was a 44. It fit body wise but I was unable to zip it up (zipper is on the left side). Although I didn't get to wear it, I would recommend it.

I loved this dress. The stylist tried to steer me away from this designer thinking that my size 10-12 body might not fit, so I chose something else as my main dress but I couldn't resist getting this as a "backup" dress. I am so glad I did as it was just exactly what I was looking for. The color is more purple than blue, as previously mentioned by other reviewers but it still went beautifully with my sapphires like I had hoped. It does run a bit long, I had 3.5" heels and wished that it were just 1/2-1" shorter, but I was able to walk easily - just had a little trouble on the dance floor. In my particular dress, the zipper was tricky, so I needed a friend to zip it up for me but once I was in it I felt fantastic and comfortable all night.

Beautiful, feminine and classy. I wore it to the Presidential Inaug. Ball in DC, and it was really unique and made you stand out

The 36 was good but a bit small for me. The lenght was perfect (36L) with high heels.

This dress fit true to its size and was a great change from a traditional black dress. I would recommend this dress to anyone!

I really liked this dress, however I ordered it as my backup and didn't end up wearing it. I ordered the 34R. It was tight in the rib area and at least 2 inches long on me with 3.5 inch heels. It may not have been a huge problem though, I just would have had to hold it up while walking. The color was beautiful!

The fit was great except for the length. Even with heels I had to use the hem tape - it worked pretty well but felt a bit awkward. Next time I need a long dress I'll stick to ones that come in petite lengths.

This is a beautiful dress that I would definitely rent again. The fabric is so soft and moves and hangs beautifully on the body. Sadly the size 4 did not fit, I could get the dress zipped up. There is no stretch to the fabric at all. I am typically a size 6 but I have a very small waist and I am probably a true size 4 from the waist up and I figured since this dress would hang loose around my hips that the 4 would be fine.

It was a little tight in the middle but not unbearably uncomfortable. Next size would have been too big. The bottom hem is just a surged finished. The temporary hem tape I have would not stick since the fabric is silky. Did not have time to sew a temp. hem. No one noticed bottom edge anyway.

I received this dress as a back-up and its gorgeous. I typically wear a 12 or 14, and the 44R fit perfectly. The color is a deep purple, but it does photograph more blue.

This is a lovely dress. It was my backup but I didn't end up wearing it. The color is beautiful! It is brand new! I did notice that the zipper sticks a little but I'm sure that with time, it will be ok. Very flattering on anyone, I would recommend this dress. Rent the Runway is fantastic!

Rented this for a wedding, really liked it online but once I tried it on it just seemed a little too plain. I ended up wearing the backup dress I ordered which I *loved*

This is a beautiful dress, material, and color, but it just did not fit me right. Thankfully RTR allows returns for fit and they were very nice and accommodating. The waist is TINY compared to the rest of the dress. I am extremely pear shaped, so in good news it will fit most pear-shaped women in the hips. But even with my (comparatively) small waist, the six waist was too tight for me. It fit everywhere else (bust and hips), just too small in the waist. And my backup (size 8) still had a super tight waist; I could zip it, but then the bust was too big! It might work well for someone with a tiny waist and larger chest. Also, a note on length. I am 5'7" and ordered the regular. It was fine with 2 1/4" heels but I couldn't have gone much taller. For someone like me who is in-between the regular and long sizes, the decision on this one will depend on what height shoe you plan to wear.

Stitching seemed off to me, I needed to order a different dress,

I normally wear a size 8, but I do have a wide rib cage. The trick zipper on this dress made it terrible - I even tried on a 10 and I still couldn't get the zipper to zip up. The material on the dress was also a little cheap and showed wrinkles easily. The good news about the dress? If you have a bit of a stomach, this dress would be flattering - it concealed my stomach well.

The color was pretty and it looks just the picture. The material also felt comfortable. I just couldn't zip it up because it runs so small.

I usually wear an 8 and couldn't even begin to get the 10 more than halfway zipped up. It is a gorgeous dress, but if you are bigger than maybe a B cup I don't think it would be a good choice to count on :(

I had hoped to wear this for my mother's wedding, but the waist was too tiny that even after I squeezed myself in, it just felt too constrictive. LOVELY gown. The color is beautiful and I loved the shape and had it fit just a tad bit better it would've worked.

I ordered this dress as a last minute back up when I found out my Badgley Mishka beauty was too close to the MOH's dress for comfort. Good thing I brought my own back up because I could not squeeze in to this beauty to save my life! If you are large in the bust (I'm a 34 D) SIZE UP! Possibly 2 sizes. I'm a true 6 and this was no whe close to fitting me in the chest. Beautiful color, lovely fabric, just be cautious of the fit.
