I loved this dress! It fit perfectly and showed some skin through the sleeves but was also covering. The waist has nice woven detail and the sleeve cuffs come with little buttons you can fasten. I think this dress is perfect! So many compliments, and I felt truly beautiful in this dress! The only thing that I would mention that's remotely negative is it's challenging to put on (have someone help you if possible) and once it's on getting the slip beneath to line up is difficult. But those are minor compared to how good the dress looks!

Having been able to rent the dress via Unlimited was a blessing, because I was on a 2 week trip to Asia, and attending a wedding in the middle of it! The wedding was a traditional Japanese wedding, and I didn't really know the dress code so I went with this dress, thinking that it's more conservative, weather appropriate, and didn't wrinkle easily. It was the perfect dress for the occasion! As it turns out, the "traditional" wedding color is black, so the navy blended very well. Also the other female (Japanese) guests all had jackets or something that covered their arms. The dress itself is beautifully made, it's classy and easy to wear. I really recommend it if you prefer to stay covered but still feel a little sexy.

Received this as a backup. I received a ton of compliments and felt great! Here are some details: Fit--as noted in the details, this is a narrower cut on the bottom. My measurements are 41-30-40. It was snug in the bust and hips but it wasn't too tight. Overall it fit nicely and was very flattering. Materials and condition-the color is a deep navy with beautiful waist detailing (waist detail is part of the dress-not a separate belt). The back detail with the keyhole and exposed satin is really lovely. The chiffon was just a little worn looking on the left cuff but it was barely noticeable. All in all-would definitely recommend!

This dress is extremely accurate to the description given on the website! I loved this dress! The only thing is, you can't wear "normal undergarments" with it. I had to wear a strapless bra to prevent the bra being seen on the cutout in the back. It should hit you just above your knee and is perfect for a formal event. So elegant and tons of people asked where I got it! Love love love. It's true to size.

Fabric doesn't stretch.

I think it fit perfectly as I generally wear a 6. I loved that it had long sleeves for New Year's Eve in Ohio. It was the perfect amount of getting dressed up for a dinner out with my husband and then ringing in the New Year with our friends.

This dress was my third choice for NYE but I'm so glad I went with it. The dress reminded me of a Downtown Abbey era and the long sleeves were enough to keep me warm but sexy being sheer. The fit was enough for definition but not too tight where eating would make you uncomfortable. I actually wore pasties with this dress as the style didn't call for cleavage and my bandeau bra showed in the back. I paired the dress with a grey cutout clutch, black tights and heels.

Dress looked great, the reviews were very helpful. My usual dress size is between and 8 and 10. Based on the reviews I ordered the 42 and 44. The 42 was perfect. My friend was also wearing a rent the runway dress.

i was surprised that it was navy, not black but loved it anyway. the sleeves were a little hard to button and the button cover popped off one sleeve at the first try. otherwise it was perfect. seemed true to size (the 34 fit like a 0), length was to the knee. wish i owned it.

This dress is a perfect dress for a fall wedding! I had tons of compliments on the dress, and enjoyed wearing it. You need to order up a size. It runs small.

I loved this dress, it looks elegant and is perfect for a work dinner party. I have no waist but this dresses gave me one. I ordered size 42 and 44 (10 and 12). Size 10 looked great in the front, but the back (see picture) the zipper keep moving to one size. Size 12 it was way too big and a little baggy, the sleeves were really long. I guess a size 11 would have been great. In the pictures I’m wearing a size 10.

The dress was simple, clean lines, classic with a hint of sexy. Ran a little large and was a little tricky to get on however it was perfect for an evening wedding. Excellent rental.

I wore this to the Directors reception at the Yacht Club I received so many compliment and I felt very good in the dress. I was so glad that I ordered the 42 in addition to the 40. I have been wearing size 8 with other RTR dresses, but this one runs very small in the waist and was way to tight to zip up at my 34D breast. Having to wear the next size made it a little long both in the length of the dress but in the sleeve length. But I loved it and might rent it again.

The dress is perfect for an Opera Show at The Met. I wore it to go see the Barber of Seville- it was a perfect fancy evening dress. The only thing I found a little bit annoying and scary at the same time was how to put it on - I was afraid to tear the fabric- it can get a little complicated. Also - *DO NOT* wear a padded strapless bra with this dress - I wore a thin strapless and it was perfect. It was freezing in NYC that weekend so I ended up wearing boots with the dress and tossed the tights. I wore size 36 because they didn't have the smaller size available. The sleeve length was a little to long for me (I'm short - 5'2'').

I loved the vintage, yet classy feel to this dress. My one qualm was that it was a bit on the large side. I think it could have been a lot more flattering. I am a size 6 in dresses and based on other reviews got the size 40 (4), and it was still slightly loose. Though it made for a more comfortable night since I didn't have to wear any shape wear. With such a beautiful and intricate waistband, I would have thought it would have been more tapered in the middle. Didn't show off the curves as much as I would have liked. The fabric is great and I absolutely loved the sleeves! I paired it with nude heels, which worked perfectly!

The sleeves are a bit long and the fabric isn't too forgiving. If you have hips it will be tighter around that area. Since I'm only 5'2", I wish this came in petite! The top is a little larger than I would like and a little longer than is ideal. However overall I did like this dress! I got comments and like the whole dress style. I would recommend it.

great fit and comfortable

I loved this dress style! I am 5.7 and the dress fell right above my knees, which was an appropriate length for a business reception. It was perfectly elegant with a business casual touch. The top fit perfectly with a little billow to it that I loved, the hip area was a little snug but that was expected from other reviews. I absolutely love RTR and recommend it to anyone I talk to or that has an event. This company is easy to use and t heir customer service is superb, they put any concerns I had right to the side and were quick and professional with their responses. They do everything for you! I wore the dress then that night when I was done put it right in the return bag that is provided and ups picked it up at 9am the next day. Done and Done!

I was so happy with this dress! I was nervous, being 5'11", that the dress and sleeves would be too short, but it worked perfectly!! I wore this dress to formal function and it was just what I was looking for: simple and elegant. I normally wear a size 6-8 and the size 40 worked great. Wish I could keep it!!

Ordered the 8 (40) as a back up since I was unfamiliar with the sizing and glad I did. My usual size 10 (42) was huge up top. The 8 top was just right and the skirt was snug but not too snug. First experience with RTR was very positive

Great dress! I wore for a rehearsal dinner.

The only thing about this dress is that if you've got some hips/ butt it'll be a bit snug but it's not uncomfortable at all, just shows off that part a lil more. Also I love the sheer sleeves, keeps you covered but not sweating, but the wrist opening is kinda small (I have really small wrists) so make sure you unbutton it prior to putting it on and taking it off. Other than that I love love love this dress(:

I wore this to a fundraiser that was cocktail attire. I normally wear a 4 and the 38 fit perfect. I'm 5.7, 135 lbs. very comfortable dress. There is no stretch. Loved the navy color. It's classy, not over the top, just a comfortable, evening dress. One tiny thing was there was a tiny hole at the cuff, but you could not see it. This dress has no stretch. But very comfortable

This was a lovely dress. I usually wear an 8 but the 42 was all they had left close to my size. I decided kind of late to reserve a dress. It was great for the cocktail party I went to. Even with it being a little big I could see where the skirt may be tight on women with fuller hip/bottom area. It also was just a little of a challenge to get on since you have to awkwardly fit you head through that back hole. All in all was a great dress and I would rent it again (probably in a smaller size) Was a great first experience with RTR.

The dress runs very small in the hips. I thought I would need the 34 but ended up wearing the 36 and it was still a bit tight. The color is a nice plum. The whole thing was attractive.

I got this as a backup for a rehearsal dinner and wore the first choice. Tried this on just to see and it didn't fit at all. Really baggy on top (not sure if you can see the zip portion was actually bagging out and hanging) and snug on the bottom. Better for tall and bigger on top which is the opposite of me! Lesson learned :)

Flattering and comfortable.

This dress fit perfectly! I loved the fact that the sleeves were so light since it got a little warm on the dance floor. The dress is very lightweight itself which was great for the indoor spring wedding I attended. I will say, it was a little complicated to get into because of the dual layers on top - but that is my only complaint and I figured it out quickly. It fit perfectly and snug at my waist and was nicely cut for the bust. I'm a 32D and I felt it looked very nice without being tight. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something different and very beautiful!

I loved this dress and was sad to send it back. I got a lot of compliments and was able to wear it both to the office and out to a more formal dinner. The only thing I would change about it is the large braided belt - it's a bit distracting.

Loved this one - it fit well and was just a little bit sexy while still being covered up. Slightly worn at shoulder and on sleeve buttons, but I was the only one who noticed that. I absolutely recommend this one.

My original 2 dresses were stuck in a ups hub so I called and they overnighted me the same 2 dresses and rerouted the first 2 so I wouldn't have to worry about them. Fit was great. Wore the 4, but I am small busted and have recently lost about 6 more pounds.

This dress fit perfectly. I was blessed with curves and I felt like this flattered all of the right places. It was conservative, but sexy at the same time. My husband loved it. My only regret- having to return it!
