The zipper kept sticking, but it fit beautifully once I got into it. I am 34D, so I was a little too big for the low neckline, so put a piece of fabric there, which looked perfect. It was comfortable and I was complimented all night.

LOVED this dress. It was classy yet rock and roll with the chain detail which is right up my alley. I received the 42R and the 40L and while I wish there was a size in between I ended up wearing the 42R which fit very comfortably. I'm 5'4" and about 145lb with an hourglass/athletic build. I wore this dress with a shorter heel than normal for comfort, about 3", and the dress fell perfectly. Not too long and not too short. I wanted to rent a designer dress as I know they are just cut better than a cheaper "pretty" dress and I can definitely say I am sold on RentTheRunway.

I love the silhouette of the dress. Very comfortable. Definitely got lots of compliments. It is revealing up front I used a lace bandeau bra. Only downside is the sleeves. I noticed one shoulder had longer chain than the other plus the sleeves keep slipping. I used double stick tape from VS and actually got a burn from the tape and dress.

It fits great because the material and cut of this dress hide everything I would want it to but beware of the plunge because that was difficult to manage all night but with a few safety pins in the right places, totally doable!

Pictures do not due this dress justice!! It is absolutely beautiful!! I ordered the equivalent of a size 4 and could barely get it zipped! Runs super small! Also shoulder pads weigh a ton and kept falling down, so you MUST have double sided tape! That being said, this dress is truly a knockout!! Everyone kept stopping me to tell me how gorgeous it was!! Worth every penny!!!

This dress was amazing! Everyone thought it was beautiful! I wore four inch heels and the length was perfect. I normally wear a 0, but i got a 2 since it was the smallest size offered which worked out well because it was tight around the chest and rib area. I did have to use fashion tape to keep up the shoulders. I just absolutely swooned over the dress!

It ran just slightly small. I'm a true size 4 and it zipped up and fit but it was cutting it close! Still dramatic and gorgeous and so many compliments!

I loved renting this dress for a halloween party. It fit exactly as expected. Was very flattering and actually comfortable. I am 5'6" and I got the regular because there was not a long available. The long would have been better since I wore heels, but I don't think it was super obvious that it was a bit too short. My only regret was not taking more pics because is one really doesn't show the beauty of the dress.

The dress runs very small. My model is typically a size 0-2 and I had to go up several sizes for fit. Otherwise this dress is GORGEOUS!

I wore this dress to a charity ball and it was absolutely stunning! I am almost 5'8" and the long size fit perfectly. I wore my highest heels and the dress reached just to the floor. The fabric was so slinky and flowy, it was just perfect! I got so many compliments on this dress all through the night. I am a d-cup and did not even need any kind of bra or stick on bra. It was just perfect! The only problem for me was that the chain detail came loose from one of the sleeves but it was an easy fix that I was able to do myself so I would advise to check that before you go out in this dress. It was sexy and elegant all at the same time!

This dress was amazing. I normally wear a 4 and I ordered a 38L (I'm 5'10") and it was perfect. I wore a backless, strapless, plunge bra from Victoria Secret that worked really well with the dress. I also had to use some double sided tape to keep the shoulders up. They are very heavy so they want to fall down. I have always been an athlete and have larger legs/butt than the average size. The dress was not too tight nor did it pull. The waist synching in certainly makes this dress flattering. I had a million compliments all night and everyone wanted to know where I got it. I had to tell all my fellow Marine wives about RTR. The only cons... Like someone commented before, the dress mailed to me did know have the creases in the skirt and it was missing the chain detail on the back. Regardless, it still looked great.

Love this dress! Received hundreds of compliments and was even told by a reporter that I was the best dressed (impossible, but I'll take it) I'd order one size bigger than normal. Also the chain is awesome..the pics don't do it justice. And I loved the long length..it let me wear heels and it still graces the floor. Being 5'9" I hate when dresses end up being too short when I wear heels.

This dress was absolutely beautiful for an evening at a smooth jazz formal. It arrive on the day expected as well as the alternate/back up dress. I rented the lovely earrings and fashion-statement bracelet to complete the look.; all from Rent The Runway! I received great compliments all night long. This dress is true to size, but I would recommend wardrobe tape on the top. It is very forgiving in my problem area (mid section) and very flattering to my "girls" (top section). The wardrobe tape will help the shoulder pads remain in place and avoid an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction. The dress worn in the photo is a size 10 (or 44R) and the detailed chain was not on this dress upon arrival; however, it was on the back up dress (size 12/46R). I still wore the size 10 because after putting on the dress and loving the fit, the detailed chain piece on the shoulder quickly became an after thought. I was able to move and dance easily in this dress too; the fabric is really nice. Great GREAT dress!!

This dress is amaze! You will feel like a total rockstar and your friends (and others) will treat you like one! The dress fits like a glove, but needed some help to stay in place. I used double sided tape in the v-neck front and for the shoulders, as the shoulder pads are heavy. Overall, I loved renting this dress for my Gatsby-esque bash--get ready for compliments galore!

I loved this dress, it took my breath away when i took it out of the bag. I'm fairly larger in the bust, so it was quite difficult to move freely without having a "Super Bowl" incident. I strongly suggest fashion tape. I attended an awards show with some of my music clients and didn't have time to shop for a dress. I was nervous as normally it's the kind of event that you need the perfect dress. RTR is an incredible business model!

the bust runs small

I ordered this as a backup dress and it came riddled with problems. Firstly, I ordered a 38L (I'm 5'9" flat footed) and it was about 1 - 2" too short in bare feet. If I would have worn flip-flops with the dress you could have seen them. Secondly, one of the cap sleeves was the missing the decorative chain that was supposed to adorn it. Thirdly, the cap sleeves were so heavy and probably stretched out from numerous wears that any time I moved both cap sleeves would fall down my arm. I'm not sure if fashion tape would even have helped. I tried on the dress with a normal black bra and you could just see it peaking out in the back. You'd probably need to go braless or wear a low-back bra if needed. Other than the aforementioned problems, the dress fit in the bust and through the body. All this being said, RTR customer service helped me rectify the issues and the emergency dress that they overnighted me worked out great.

The chain trim on one of the sleeves of the 42 was disconnected, so I ended up wearing the 44 instead of the 42. I am normally a US 6, so the 44 was large on me. I had to tape the sleeves so the dress wouldn't slide off! It still looked great though. I accessorized with a black collar to make it fit the "Game of Thrones" theme for the evening.

First of all, this dress is stunning. I could hardly get around the event for being stopped by a stranger to exclaim about the gown. However, you must be warned, European designers do not "vanity size" the way American designers do. If you wear a US 2, you will need to order a US 4 (36) in this gown. I even typically wear a 0 in many designers but the 34R would not zip on me...I mean, not even budge past my ribs at no fault of the zipper. Luckily, RTR staff saved the day and rushed me a size larger. A delightful experience but a lesson learned in European sizing. I also must add that I am rather petite and with a platform heel the R length was just fine, I was not stepping all over the hem like I feared.

This dress is stunning. I have never felt more beautiful! I wear anywhere from a 4 to an 8 depending on the type of clothing, but according to my measurements I ordered the 38L and the 40L. I ended up wearing the 38L, and it was a perfect fit, especially with heels. I would not recommend this dress for short or small busted/shouldered women.

Although this dress certainly lives up to its name, you must be very tall or at least long waisted to wear this gown. The torso portion exceeded my waist to shoulder span and I could not wear it. Gorgeous dress if you have the right proportions to wear it.

it was a beautiful dress... except the fact that it came to me ripped!!! :( i was soo upset and couldnt wear it.. i left several messages when i called but no one returned my call.. so i ended up paying a fortune for a dress i never wore!! Yet to hear from them :(

I absolutely LOVED this dress from the moment I found it on the RTR website. When it arrived and I put it on I felt nothing short of a movie star. It is trendy and sexy yet very elegant. I ordered the long but the regular length would have worked. I'd recommend the fashion tape for the shoulders. Even though I did not have any wardrobe malfunction it would have been great to have that reassurance. Amazing dress!

This is a wonderful dress! I received so many compliments all evening. I am a full C and most of my dresses are a 0, this dress was very small around my rib cage. I should have gotten the 36, which is a size 2. My bust fit perfect in the 34. I would highly recommend this for any black tie party. It was a huge success!

This dress looks difficult to wear but its not. Ran perfectly true to size, great for a larger bust, goth-goddess like! Smokin hot.

This dress is lovely. Its quite heavy but comfortable. It flattering and the fit is perfect. My only negative comment is that I thought the edging was a rhinestone trim but it is actually chain which added an edgyness to the dress.

This dress is gorgeous and well worth the money to rent. I am 5'7" and usually wear a size 2 or size 4 in dresses. I rented the 36L (2 long) and it fit perfectly. It was beautiful!!
