This gown is too chic!
Absolutely amazing gown. Simple, clean lines and flattering fit. I wore a full size down though so would definitely recommend going smaller than your normal size. There is a lot of room in the bust/waist and the fabric has some stretch. With simple accessories and hair back this dress is a must!

I wore this dress to the Inaugural Ball and got compliments from complete strangers.
The color is definitely more peach than ivory. Based on the small balls forming on the dress, it's been rented and worn a lot...almost ready to be retired.

Simple & chic- perfect for black tie optional event (versatile to suit a range of formal functions)
This dress is a column style dress. I am typically a 4 or 6 in dresses (generally lean toward 6 to accomodate bust), but went with the 4 in this as the body was slightly bigger than expected with room on the top. I am 5'9 and wore the dress with 4 inch heels- if it were an inch or two longer, it would have been perfect, but wasn't noticably short. The dress wasn't clingy, but had a nice shape so that people can discern the shape of your body. I wore this to a black tie optional event (work related) and felt like it was a great option. The people at the even were generally in their 40's and being a bit younger, I felt like this dress was the perfect choice. The dress is definitely sophisticated, and the sleeves make it a bit more conservative, but was far from dowdy (I received numerous compliments on the dress). I would definitely recomend this dress. For girls with larger busts, the dress requires a strapless bra with a low back, which wasn't an issue for this event as it was more of a dinner/auction, but would have likely been uncomfortable if I were at a more lively event with dancing, etc (even with the low back strapless, the back of the bra was just on the bottom edge of the sheer panel on the back of the dress). Note that the color is more of a blush than what I would call an ivory as shown in the picture online.

Not white!
I was dreaming about wearing this gown but was so sad when it arrived, I thought it was a mistake. It looks white in both photos online but is actually a very strange peachy color, so I went back to read the description and it does indeed say "nude." The hem and the sleeves are short. I'm only 5'2" and the hem was at the floor in bare feet. The 38R (which feels like a size 2) also arrived with the keyhole at the neck detached. The pros are the fabric has a good weight to it and stretches, and it just feels like a vintage gown and is shaped for a woman - if you can get past the color. My first RTR disappointment, but I won't hold it against them because I've had only good experiences until now. I put it back in the mail the same day I received it.
