This dress is amazing! I always have difficulty finding dresses that aren't skintight, but also don't look like they were made for a pregnant woman. This dress was the perfect balance. The bodice was really fitted and made my waist look great, but the fold at the top of the skirt made it so the dress wasn't super tight across my hips. I feel like this would look great on a ton of different body types. The only downsides were that it was kind of long - even in 4" heels I was stepping on the bottom hem. Also it was really hard to zip. The zipper kept getting stuck on some of the folds, and I definitely wouldn't have been able to get it zipped if I hadn't had someone to help me. And as some other people mentioned, this dress doesn't stretch ALL, so just be aware when sizing.

The 2L fit great and was the perfect length with 3 inch heels.

I ordered the Carolina Herrera Black Kennedy gown, but for some reason RTR was unable to send it to me. Without missing a beat, they sent this dress instead, and it was perfect. I was a little nervous about the sizing, but once I read it ran large, I felt at ease. It's Carolina Herrera, so obviously the dress was well made. Kudos to RTR for keeping it well maintained. The dress was comfortable and stylish! I loved it.

This dress was one of the most perfectly crafted dresses I have ever worn. The for was absolutely true to size. 2L runs pretty long. I am 5'8'' and the dress grazed the ground in high heels. I minimally accessorized with earrings since the neckline is very ornate. The fold of fabric in the front makes for a very flattering shape for anyone who is worried about a dress being too form fitting in the tummy area. Overall, one of my favorite dresses I have had the chance to wear.

This is a true couture design. What a well-made dress! I could feel how well thought the cut was while wearing this dress. Carolina Herrera really understands a woman’s body and the curvature that us females have! This is a classic and timeless dress, which should be saved for a special occasion. Blow everyone’s socks off in this stunner! This fits true to size! I would size up for backup.

This gown was amazing. Made me look and feel so glamorous. The corset was extremely itchy as mentioned in other reviews. I could not find one in time, but I would suggest you find a strapless slip or Spanx. The material has zero give, which is both a plus and minus. It definitely gave your great posture. The sleeve was too long for my short torso and kept falling down. I ended up wearing my back up gown. Really wish I could have worn this one.

The gown has no give or stretch but the descriptions suggests to order one size down. I required one size up. It all worked out in the end.

I think this dress is very chic. It's simple yet elegant. You can feel how well it is constructed as soon as you put it on. I am 5'5 and I wore 5 inch heels with a platform. The length was perfect with the long length. The only down sized was that the bodice was a little itchy. Not a problem if you were spanx with it. But it would be uncomfortable without it :) I would totally recommend this dress to anyone going to a back tie affair! Carolina Herrera knows how to make a beautiful gown!

This dress was sent to me as a replacement for another dress which became unavailable. I've always loved Carolina Herrera's designs but when I tried this on the first time, it wasn't love at first sight. It was itchy around the midsection so I thought that if I had to wear it to an event, it would have been a long night. Three days later just before having to send it back, I gave it another try to take a few pictures. Perhaps I had been a little too harsh on the dress before although it was still a bit itchy and only in that one place which I think had to do with fabric and where it was ending (cut). It was so classic and elegant looking like I could go to a black tie event right then and there. I'd highly recommend this dress, just maybe wear a little something to cover your midsection if needed and you won't regret it.

It was a little large for me. However, since I bought, it was fixed to my size. Therefore, it looks so gorgeous and elegant.

I was hesitant to pick this dress because it looks like it has a lot of extra material that could be unflattering. However, this dress was amazing! It looked like a designer gown (which it is of course) and it is so unique. The material is very thick and the other reviewers are correct that it is itchy underneath. Unfortunately I didn't wear it because it was a little snug and it didn't have any stretch at all. It probably would have fit with spanx but I didn't want to wear spanx due to them being so uncomfortable. If you are thinking about this dress, get it! It's gorgeous in person! Oh and the long was perfect for my 5'7" height.

Amazing experience. Such a structured dress. Gorgeous fabric. Beautiful origami inspired detail. Only real con was that it was a little hard to bend down in it since the bodice has a built in metal corset. But this, of course, is key to the dress since it is so tailored. Also, I was a little nervous because it has a little bit of a tail in the back and it got caught on my heel a couple of times. Highly recommend this gown.

As others mention, this dress is scratchy so I would recommend you wear something between your skin and the dress. The bow was a little floppy but was an easy fix with double-sided fashion tape. I loved the structure of the fabric and corset. Not chiffon or jersey knit like most of the dresses out there. I styled it minimally with red lips and drop earrings and received compliments all night long. I am 5'6", 140 lbs and pear shaped. I was concerned that the sheath shape would not work with my hips but the 6R was perfect. Length was great with 2.5" heels. Can't wait for my next RTR experience!

This dress is about the details, which are lovely. I wore the size 8, which was a tad tight, but not uncomfortable. The 10 was far too big for me on top, though. This dress creates a sleek, striking silhouette. The fabric can be a tad scratchy inside the bodice, so a layer beneath is helpful, whether a long-line strapless or a higher waisted Spanx. The length was just about perfect. I had a 3-1/2" heeled sandal and you could just see my toes, but the slight fish-tail back was lovely.

I'm usually a 0 or a 2, but this dress was only available in a 2, so that's what I ordered. Unfortunately, it was way too big on me =( The dress was amazing, so I was pretty disappointed I didn't get to wear it, but I would highly recommend, and suggest maybe sizing up,

The dress was a good fit but the shoulder piece was to large. I had issues with it staying in place and the look just wasn't right. Sadly, I waa not able to wear it to my event.

This dress looks beautiful on the model in the picture but it does not look good in person. It was very itchy inside and the band across the middle made me feel like I had an extra tummy.

This dress was so beautiful, and I wanted to wear it, but the interior of the bodice is so itchy. My skin is fairly sensitive so this is would have driven me crazy all night. I opted for a different dress.

Beautiful dress - but still not long enough for me to wear heels with at 5'9" in the "long length". Disappointing.
