Stylist Review!

This is a great twist on the LBD! Featuring a mini-dress slip and funky polka dot overlay this Cedric Charlier strapless dress is the answer to your formal summer affair. The dress is very comfortable and constructed beautifully. Running true to size we recommend going one size up for a backup, especially if you have a fuller bust. The dress features comfortable room throughout although the fabric does not have too much stretch. Pair with strappy black heels and some statement bracelets and you will be the envy of everyone!

Unique look

I really liked the look of the outfit, but it did require a lot of double stick tape and no deep breaths. I would rent it again.

He totally loved it!!! It's sexy in a classy way that's perfect for my age.

I had originally rented the David Koma "dangerous minds dress" to go to Second city in Chicago (I had it shipped to the hotel to save packing space and have extra days) however that dress didn't fit at all around my wide ribcage, so I went to the Chicago store and picked this for a replacement. It would have been an additional $85 charge, however they have a promotion pack we bought, so I returned it and used the credit to apply to a new rental for the dress, earrings and necklace for $99, which was less than my credit. Fit: this was a size 8 in US sizing and I found it tight around the widest part of my ribcage. I usually fit size 4-6 with an athletic fit. I'm about a 35.5-37B, depending on the time of the month and my workout schedule. I think I was on the larger side this weekend. I wore a Nubra in 36B and it made it more snug than it had to be, but I wanted the girls up a bit. The body was loose and comfy around the waist and hips and flowed elegantly when walking. I didn't have trouble with the inner short skirt riding up but I could see this happening for ladies with thicker thighs/butts. The material is very nice. There were several hook and eye catches in back that helped it feel secured and I had to have BF do those for me. There is thin line of silicone around the top to help adhere to the skin. I wish I'd have had my adhesive-assisting roll-on stuff (totally helps, can purchase at medical supply store, used frequently for compression hose but works great for lingerie use and for my thigh highs) but I'd left it at home. I used fashion tape to keep the hanger ribbons from peeking out, especially the one between the breasts. This style dress does require a necklace and if possible pull up hair and adorn with flashy earrings. The dress is all black with large polka dots on sheer material and with a solid short skirt and upper is lined. I'm only 5'2" and it was tea length but that was fine with me. Showing that much upper body, the longer length on me seemed very respectable and I'm 47. If you are very tall or have a long torso, be careful where that solid skirt ends, as your panties will likely show. Recommend black or nude undergarments. The adhesive roll-on may be helpful to keep the skirt down or fashion tape for some ladies. I'd rent this again, but would be more comfy if I was a little more fit around the ribcage. Not the dress's fault;).

The dress just wasn't me.

The fit was fine, I just didn't care for the dress overall.

Not for tall ladies

Lovely dress and well made. Unfortunately, at 6' I was indecent on the top AND the bottom! Just not enough coverage for tall ladies. A real shame, a wasted rental. I'd say 5'10" and under... 5'8" to be safe.

Fun dress, fits large! Strategic tucking required.

Despite the guidance on the RTR website, the dress fit very large and had to be pinned to my strapless bra. Even with that extra measure, it kept falling down in the back and I had to pull on it all night. Also, oddly, the dress contained hanger support straps right front and center, and they were biased upwards! Additional strategic tucking was required. Despite the fit and support string issues, the dress was fun for our semi-formal party event.

Odd fitting

This dress is stunning but the bust area is so small. I am not a large chested lady and with dress I was falling out the top. The size dress was actually to big everywhere else. It would only stay up with fashion tape so I opted to not wear.

Not for women with large chest

This dress was so pretty and I was so excited to try it on, but when I tried it on it only covered a small portion of my chest! I would not recommend if you are a larger than a C cup.
