Perfect dress for a "DONE" look that transitions well from day to night. It's nice and conservative, but very flattering and comfortable. I loved this dress - the fit, the style, the look. I am 5'9" and 140lbs and this piece worked quite well.

I have never received so many compliments on anything in my life. This dress is everything. I ordered the small and it fit as expected. The folds in the skirt were a bit wrinkled when it came out of the bag, but nothing a little steam couldn't fix. I added a t-shirt underneath as I'm not a huge fan of shoulders being out but looks great without it. I will definitely rent this again!

A beautiful navy crepe and pleated skirt will give you a unique, yet sophisticated office look. Running on the larger side, we recommend sizing down. Although the midsection of the dress is loose and the fabric has stretch, the drop waist allows for more fit in the hip area. With the slight stretch to the fabric the hips should not be an issue unless you're curvier, in which case you may want to consider sizing up. At 5'7" the length hit at about my knee. The size 38 (U.S. size 0) fit me perfectly, but my typical size 2 would have been too big. Pair with heeled boots with or without tights depending on the season.

this was fancier than I wanted. The shiny pleated skirt made me think "wedding", so I didn't wear it.

The dress fells well-made. The skirt arrived fine (previous review mentioned a need for steaming that I did not find). The material has no give, so any tummy bulge might be seen (see photo). I later wore it with spanx which fixed the problem. The top is a little long and proportionally wasn't extremely flattering on me, but I wore it a few times anyway because I liked the dress so much.

I loved the craftsmanship and construct of this dress. It was very well made and unique. The only thing about it is that the bodice, which is made to be fitted, was slightly large for me around the waist. I would recommend those with smaller waists or busts to size down. Overall, beautiful piece and I would love to explore more from this designer on RTR.

I rented for a conference. The dress is lovely. Great tailoring on top, the skirt swings around beautifully. Heavy weight and color are great for the fall. My only complaint is that it's BIG. It's clearly meant to be on the boxy side, but even so, it's still enormous. Size down for sure. Since there's no defined waist this works well for tall ladies (I'm 6' and it was a perfect length); long enough to be work appropriate.

Love this dress! Versatile, beautiful dress, I wore it to work with a blazer in early December, but it also looks nice on its own.

This was really cute. Liked it even better in person. It came a little wrinkled in the skirt but the wrinkles hung out well. Very comfy and great for work. Even considered purchasing it.

I first rented this dress in a size 2, sizing down, as others had suggested. Unfortunately, the dress I received had a busted zipper, but I could already tell that it was going to be extremely tight on me. I returned the dress and got a 4 (my usual size), and it fit perfectly. I have a petit frame but larger hips, and I think my body type might be ideal for this dress. I should have taken a picture, and I hope another pear shaped girl does because on me, the dress was a little sexier, though still work appropriate. In short, curvy girls, do not be afraid! Go for this one, and post a pic!

This dress is incredibly classy and sophisticated. The skirt is very shiny so it is probably best for a formal work event rather than everyday office wear. A perfect length and style for women 40+ in particular.

I usually wear a size 2 but based on the reviews I sized down for this and wore a 38 - it is beautifully cut, and the pleats on the skirt of the dress hold up well even after sitting at work and dinner. I got a ton of compliments on this dress. I wore it with pointy black flats, though it was hard to find a jacket to compliment the look.

It was perfect! I wore it to an interview with a blazer and it was excellent.

Love, love, love this dress. I'm obsessed with the pleats. This dress fit well everywhere (I'm usually a 0/2, and wore the size 38), and came down just to my knees for a professional and polished look. The fabric is thick enough to work well in cold weather when paired with tights. I will definitely be borrowing this one again!

This was a great dress for work (definitely a "desk to dinner" look.) I felt like it was a little snug in my chest and since the upper material is thicker, it didn't "give" a lot. If I upsize, it probably would've been large in the midsection... I'd still rent it again.

I had to have a second attempt at this dress - the first one came and somehow in the dry cleaning process the pleats were flattened out in weird areas, which altered the entire look of the dress. I was bummed, but RTR customer service came through brilliantly (as always!) and shipped another out in the same size. The second one arrived in perfect condition. It definitely runs big - I'm usually a 4, and the 2 still had plenty of room. I wore the dress for work, and by the end of the day the pleats ended up flattening from sitting at my desk. Otherwise it was a great conservative option and a very unique look!

This dress looks like two separate pieces. The top is fitted wool with a nice seam diagonal down the front. That breaks the fitted look up to give you a little cover for imperfections. The bottom is full, pleated satin skirt. It lays flat, but swings. It's a great contrast to the top. I put a tight long-sleeve black t-shirt over it and wore with black tights and high heels since it's winter. I would rent this again for work. It's not special enough for a cocktail party unless you spice it up with some jewels.

The dress runs large. I would size down. Overall the dress is too long for a petite person. The quality is excellent, thus the reason for three stars instead of one. The drop waist shape of this dress was not flattering and should be avoided for women under 5'3".

Did not wear, it was huge. need a 2 and then it is probably too long and a little frumpy for my taste.
