Love this dress! The skirt flows as you move. It's very comfortable. I love the details on the top design.

This dress was great dress. A little tight where the silver part met the skirt. I loved how it went to my knees and the pleating really added a different element.

I ordered this and a back-up dress for our work holiday party at an art deco museum. I loved the unique style of this and the bodice, which is a leather like fabric, has a very unique silvery color to it. Complimented by the feminine silky pleated skirt. This was a very comfortable dress and fit perfectly. Due to its design, I am sure it would fit many body types. My husband liked it so much he asked about the policy to buy it for my very own!

Overall this dress fit well and was comfortable but I thankfully received two of the same dress in a same size due to a delay in ship time so when I went to put the dress on for the evening I was able to choose between them. Thankfully I had two options because one of the dresses had a larger gap in the mess underlay on one side in comparison and would have looked extremely weird on and in pictures. This dress would be perfect in the fall or winter for a formal event.

Loved wearing this dress--the drawbacks are what you might expect from a leather top--It was a bit tight around the arms and felt stiff and hot, but I thought it was totally worth it. Would not recommend for an event that would be crowded or warm though. Leather has more of a metallic silver tone than the greyish you see online but I really liked the look of it and it made it more formal for my event. The skirt fabric was thin and kind of lackluster but I thought it didn't matter too much given how chic the top was.

Fit well! The front detail was coming detached from the dress a bit, but still loved it. Highly recommend!

The dress is very comfortable. Its very stylish . I received so many compliments. Its true to size and flattering.

I did not need to wear a bra, it was comfortable and soft. I was worried the "pleated skirt" would make me look huge, but it's a soft flowy material, so it worked.

I wore this dress for a work cocktail event, and I lost count of all the compliments I received! The fit was super flattering, and the skirt fabric was so soft. It was great length and coverage up top for work, the top is so beautiful and there is interesting texture on the black fabric on top. I loved this dress and would rent it again for a wedding or another work event.

This dress is great. It runs VERY small but I think this is the case with all Catherine Deane dresses- the smallest size 2, is equivalent to a 0. The leather on the one I wore was pulling away from the underlying fabric in some places, but it did not affect look or wearability.

My boyfriend loved this dress. I wore it twice - once for work and once to a birthday dinner. It's very original and comfortable. I sized up because of other reviews saying that the top was tight, but I could have easily gone down a size and been alright.

Fit was true to size, the length was just to the knee, and fit so wonderfully. This was such a flattering dress.

Loved this dress. Looked and felt great. Perfect for day to night. Only thing is if you have a larger chest, the leather strips separate so it is not a continuous look.

This is a great dress for work or an event where you need to look elegant. It's not flashy or short, but that's the beauty of it - the materials are gorgeous, the cutouts in the leather make it interesting and overall I just lover wearing this dress. One thing to note - I am a c/d cup and it was a bit flattening. I don't really mind, but if you are on the larger side of breasts, just be aware. Otherwise fit beautifully

I rented this as my backup dress but ended up falling in love with my first pick. This dress is stunning but it runs small. I always wear a size 2 in dresses but there is no stretch in the top of this dress. The grey fabric is leather. I could have squeezed into it but the cutouts on the front would have looked bad stretched wide open. I suggest sizing up especially if you have a larger bust. I rented a 2 but in the future would rent the size 4.

The gown was a very cool design. Very chic and hip, The only thing that surprised me the most was the leather is actually pleather and it looks like it. Along with the skirt is made of a cheap polyester blend and again it looks like it. For looking it how much it retails I guess I was expecting a better quality. But again cool design and fit great. And honestly if you don't look at fabrics this dress rocks.

Tightest part is beneath the breasts; I'm a 30A and the 2 was uncomfortably tight. Otherwise I very much liked the dress. The belt was missing.

This dress was very tight on top. I typically wear a size 0, but the 2 was snug. The silver applique didn't lay flat. Some of the edges curled up. I'm not sure if they were supposed to do that or if the one I got was a little over-worn. I wore it to a swanky work event, and overall it was great. It is definitely nice quality and makes an impression.

This dress was pretty and high quality. It fit well and came out of my suitcase ready to wear -- no steaming required. Down side and reason for lower review-- although the dress fit me like a glove the leather panels on the front draped or drooped open. Given how form fitted the dress was it seemed like the leather piece was too big. It wasn't terrible and I still wore it but given the brand I expected a better overall fit.

I wasn't sure from the photos how this dress would 'read": hip/strong with the cut outleather, or kind of dowdy with the pleated skirt. I didni't love it on me, felt a bit dowdy. Ended up going with my back up dress which turned out to be perfect. I have a more 'boyish' waist; i think if you have a small/hourglass waist, and nice calves, this might be a great dress for you.
