I rented this dress for my friend for a photoshoot that I gifted her. She looked like she belonged in Vogue!!!! This dress is just gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice. The color is stunning and even more so in photos and the fabric is elegant and comfortable. My friend isn't overly ambitious with fashion choices but even she loved it!!! I think the photo speaks for itself in how beautiful this dress is - highly recommended!!

The color is actually a dark purple (not magenta as shown on the website). The dress is made of quality material and drapes over your body very nicely. You have to be careful with the sewn details and the mesh on the top. There is a built in bra, but I wore a strapless bra underneath for extra support. I wore 5'' heels and the length was perfect for photos. After reading other reviews, I was worried that my bust would be too big for this dress. However, I tried on a size 6 and had somebody help me zip it up and it fit like a glove! (I'm usually a size 8- but it was too big). I was really comfortable all night! The dress is elegant and stunning! Highly recommend this gown!

I wish I had ordered the next size up, as it was very difficult to zip up the 4R, I needed friends to help get the zip up! But once it was zipped it fit like a glove, super flattering and gorgeous. Tight around the bodice and flows away from the mid section beautifully. I got loads of compliments on this dress!

True to size fit. Don't need a bra. I don't think this dress is for really busty women. Zips on the side so will need help with putting it on . I love dancing at my reception in this dress!

I am barely a 6 with a small chest and this dress would not even zip up. The 6R is short for anyone taller than 5'6" but it is a beautiful color and design and fabric if you can get into it.

In person, this dress is truly stunning, but I feel it is meant for a more mature woman. The color of the dress is almost like a raspberry, and has a beautiful pleated skirt that moves beautifully when you walk. From my experience, Catherine Deane dresses tend to run a bit small, but this dress actually runs a little big! I am very much a true size ten, and I could have worn an 8 in this dress. I think this is because the dress is not fitting through the hips, and the bus runs a little big. I would suggest this for girls that are a c cup and up. You wont need to worry about a bra, since there is a bra built into the dress - super convenient. I am also about 5'6", and a regular length dress was perfect for me. Additionally, the dress zips in the back, so if you plan on wearing this, be sure to have someone around who can zip you into this style. For body shapes, I think this dress would do a lot a favors for many body shapes, and would recommend it to all shapes and sizes. Overall, the dress is stunning and of beautiful quality, don't get me wrong, but would be better for someone of a more mature stature.

I didn't end up wearing this dress because the size was so incredibly small- I would be sure to look at the measurements and the way this designers dresses run because I'm normally a 2 or 4 and the 4 wasn't even close to zipping up on me. It's a beautiful gown, I would just be weary of how it fits.

The top of this dress is small, definitely not for girls with a large chest. It's a gorgeous dress, just didn't work for me.

Beautiful dress! Would have worn this for a black tie wedding in Miami if I could of zipped it up. It is very tight in the bust. I have a 34DD and it was not going happen. Too Bad

The photos don't do this dress justice! It came to be as a backup because the original size I ordered in another look was unavailable, so RTR upgraded me for free, and I couldn't have been happier. The skirt was a lightweight silky material that draped ever so beautifully. I got comments the whole night! I loved the sheer overlay, very tasteful and a great way to subtly set yourself apart from all the other popular lace dresses. The color is a much deeper hue than as shown, and is more purple than pink. Length was perfect with 3 inch heels.

The top part is very tight - I'm bigger in the bust relative to my waist, and I could barely zip it up in that area - a bra was out of the question.

I ordered this in a 14R because RTR doesn't carry many styles in a 14L - so off the bat I knew it was going to be short. I ended up wearing flats with the dress to mitigate the issue, and I was glad I did anyway because they were more comfortable while still being formal and matched the clutch I rented PERFECTLY. I was a little wary about the top of the dress since other reviews said it ran small - but it wasn't an issue. If anything this dress runs big; although if you have a large bust I'd be careful...anything over a D or DD it's not going to work. I ended up wearing a NuBra just so the dress would fit better on me, as the mesh part was a little loose on me. The fabric of the skirt was stunning, soft and flowy and the knife pleats made a statement. A great choice for a formal event where you still want to be comfortable.

This dress is beautiful, but it runs VERY small. I'm usually a 0 or 2 and I rented the 2R. There was NO WAY the top part would fit. It was impossible to zip it up. I don't think I would've fit in the 4 either. Other than that the dress arrived in great condition and again, I LOVED IT! Might order the right size and wear it in the future.

This dress runs VERY small! I usually wear a 0, and the dress that came was a 2 and it didn't fit my rib cage area. I should mention that I am very small chested, so this was not the issue for me, rather just I am wider in this area than most. The zipper went up the waist, and stopped the last portion of the way. The mesh top felt pretty tight too, even without being able to close it all the way. The fabric was beautiful, loved the color and design, its a shame it didn't work better for me.
