The dress runs very small and is hard to get zipped. I am normally a size 2 in formal dresses and the 2 would definitely not zip - I had to size up to the 4. The dress isn't as long as other dresses, which is great - I threw on a pair of heels and the dress length was still hitting the ground perfectly. This is a gorgeous dress and the back is to die far. Also, there is light padding up top, so you don't even have to wear a bra!

This dress does run small, I would recommend sizing one up for backup dress. I am normally a 0-2 and I couldn't even get close to zipping the 2, but the 4L fit like a dream. The band around the waist does not budge or stretch which is really flattering, but that is only if you can zip it up, of course. I am 5'6 and the 4L was perfect with 3.5-4 inch heels. The dress would have been too long if the heels were any shorter. I wore a sticky bra comfortably, but wearing a bra is not necessary since there is enough padding in the front of the dress. I received countless compliments and have never felt more beautiful!! This dress is the perfect classy/sexy combination.

Dress was gorgeous, runs small around the rib cage area. NOT stretchy at all. Size up if you are wide in the rib cage or bust area.

The waist is reallllly tight, and the zipper can get caught if it's too small, so definitely go up a size. Otherwise, super flattering, absolutely stunning back so wear your hair up! The lace detail is really pretty, And the length for me was perfect. I was the only girl not tying my dress in a knot.

I've rented with RTR for years and this is hands down my favorite dress. It's beyond beautiful and comfortable and flowy and seriously perfect. Per everyone's suggestions I rented a long size but it was way too long for me even with 5 in heels. I wanted to wear the smaller size for length but the zipper was a little challenging in back where the fabric gathers. Other than that, It was amazing and comfortable. A sure guarantee for best dressed!!!

I wore this dress to a white tie gala. It was absolutely perfect. I wore the 4L (I am 5'5) and it was just a tad long...I had on 3 inch heels. You must wear your hair up in this dress to show off the beautiful lace in the back. The zipper was a little hard to pull up. Dress was very comfortable throughout the evening.

I rented this dress for the "evening gown" portion of a pageant. SO elegant and I was told I looked stunning all day!!! It is unique and brings a lot of character to just a simple, black gown. I would rent again. But, sizes do run small. I ordered a 2R and a 4R, and could only fit the 4 (I typically wear a 0-2).

The dress was very snug at the waist, as others have noted. I also had a lot of trouble getting the zipper to pull up, as the ribbing on the back was very thick. Once on, it was very comfortable. Be prepared to wear 4 inch heels :)

I rented this dress for a Black Tie Christmas dinner party. It was a great dress for this kind of event. It fit beautifully, and I felt comfortable but also elegant the whole night. My only issues was I rented a 6R when I should have rented a 6L, so I had to wear shorter heels so the dress would hit the floor. Other than that, it was perfect!

I didn't end up wearing this dress (ended up with a gorgeous RTR dress, just not this one). It runs small in the waist. I'm pear shaped and usually wear a 6 in a fit and flare type of dress (Kate spade, etc), but this 8R was unflatteringly snug and the waistband hit lower than my natural waist (ie, closer to my hips and not the smallest part of it). Also, unless you have thin upper arms, the front view of the dress is not flattering. That being said, the lace on the back is beautiful, the skirt flows beautifully when you walk, and the fabric is heavy and nice. Overall a pretty dress, just not the best for my body type. I typically wear a 0/2 - and originally requested the 2/4 but after reading the reviews I panicked and switched to the 4/6. The 4 fit like a glove so it wasn't an issue (and switching the sizes was super easy to do online). It was really, really long. I ended up wearing tall heels and then sort of holding it up when I walked- but it wasn't toooo bad. Definitely not a reason to not rent. I wore it to a Black Tie dress and received a ton of compliments. I wanted to wear my hair up but ran out of time, but it's long enough that I just had it pulled to the side to show off the gorgeous back of the dress.

Fits great, fabric is heavy enough to flatter - not too heavy (wore in FL early Oct). Comfortable and beautiful.

Dress runs a little small so I went up a size and it fit perfect. Also, the length was a little long for me, but with 4 inch height heels it worked fine.

I loved wearing this dress! At the end of the night, I didn't want to take it off. I received so many compliments and my husband is still talking about it. The gown is well made with a full skirt for dancing and the regular length was perfect for low heels (2"). The lace detail on the back is beautiful in person. I wore a 4R, but could have gone up one size and been comfortable. I would recommend renting a long if you want to wear higher heals.

I found the dress to be true to size...I'm usually an 8, and was able to wear the 8. The "regular" length was a little shorter than I would've liked. I am 5'5" and had to wear only a 2" heel and the dress barely came to the floor. I usually like to wear a higher heel, so that was the only thing. It was nice that it wasn't dragging the floor I guess. I was lucky to find a very low back strapless bra to wear with it and I was very comfortable all night.

Normally wear a size 6. This dress runs small so recommend ordering one size up. Super comfortable. The skirt is fuller than shown in the picture, however, the dress is easy to walk in. There is slight padding in the bust area so no need to wear a bra or stickies. Would definitely order again!

The back of this dress is beautiful but if you are not going to wear long hair up I would probably pass. The front of the dress is a lot less detailed and the cut can make your upper body look a bit boxy. It may be better for someone with very thing arms. There is also a lot of heavy fabric so I would recommend for cooler weather. This is definately a fashion statement dress vs va va voom (minus the back).

I opted for the Simone gown as my second dress. Unfortunately, I waited too long to reserve it and the only size available was a 2R. I couldn't even zip it up. If you are a similar size/frame as I am DEFINITELY opt for the 4R and the 6R as your backup gown.

The dress was perfect for a black tie wedding. I ordered the 6L and 8L and wore the 8L. Very flattering cut. The long was perfect for me, I am 5'8" and wore 4 inch heals.

The quality of this dress is absolutely outstanding. The material is lush and falls nicely. The lace back is perfection. You will receive compliments all night! One thing to note -- I would not wear this in summer/hot weather, as skirt material is too thick.

I would recommend erring towards getting a long size if you are on the border. I was originally concerned that a long would be too long for me (but it was all that was available) and with 3" heels, it was the perfect length. I definitely could not have pulled off the regular. Also, be sure to wear your hair up because the back is the most sensational part.

It's very tight in the mid section where the band is. I normally fit in a six but I had to go with the eight because the band was so tight.

This dress has a classy yet sexy look. I would also consider it a timeless piece, you would never look back at pictures and wonder why you choose that dress. It feels great on. As tight as this dress was on the most fitted area of my body it was still very comfortable. The downside is, it runs a bit on the small side. One review said, if you have a wider rib cage you should order a size up. That is true. I had ordered a 4R and a backup 6R. RTR did not fulfill my back up size. Luckily I got the 4R zipped. I would order a size up as your first request and order your regular size as the back up size incase you are like me and don't receive your backup size.

Beautiful dress. I rented the 2R, but I couldn't even get it zipped up. The skirt looked like it would flow beautfilly, but definitely order a larger size than usual.

I am 5'7" and I ordered the long version of this dress - and it was definitely too long! And I was wearing 3 inch heels. If you are 5'7" or 5'8" and aren't wearing insanely high heels, I would definitely go with the regular length. I am normally a size 2 or 4 and I couldn't even zip up the 2. Also the the length of the 2L was even longer than the 4L for some reason. The 4L fit perfectly (aside from the length), but if I had weighed just a few more pounds it would have been too small.

Unfortunately I didn't get to wear this gown. I received it as a back-up in 2R and it just wouldn't zip up (oh, but I tried). The dress feels incredibly luxurious on. Soft, thick, flowy skirt, wired corset & elegant lace! Such a stunner. I am keeping this hearted and hopefully I'll have a reason to rent this one soon in a 4R.

Loved this dress from the moment I saw it online! I ordered it in a 6L and 8L. Then material on the dress is super heavy and thick making this a perfect dress for a winter occasion. Being that it is so thick, the zipper is EXTREMELY difficult to get up. Once we did get it zipped it looked great. The 6L was a tiny bit long on my and the 8L would have been way too long.

Gorgeous dress (with a small amount of tearing in the netting) that could not be zipped up. Could barely zip even on the hanger and would not get past the waistline where the fabric was folded over. Long was perfect with high heels.

Looks pretty on the model, but 4 inches too long, and zipping it up was dificult. I went with an alternative.

I couldn't zip it up over the fabric at the waist. Dress fit fine everywhere else, and I had room to zip, but just couldn't get it up over the "fabric bump." Dress does run small in the bodice, and I'm sure would have been lovely, if I could have gotten it on, but ended-up wearing something else at the last minute.

Love this dress! Was incredibly comfortable and easy to walk, dance, eat etc in :) I am small chested yet still like to wear a bra so I was hesitant that I couldn't in this dress since the back is all lace. The front of the dress has good padding and never felt weird not wearing a bra.
