I wore this dress for my Park City elopement, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Like others have said, the camisole underneath the lace fits tighter, so the lace didn't lay completely flat on my back. My rib cage is very narrow, but after drinking champagne and eating all night, I thought I was going to burst out of the top! Don't over-indulge like I did, and you'll be fine. The dress photographs beautifully, and the skirt has a lot of movement. I'm so glad I splurged and got a dress I really loved!

Everyone else's reviews were great for the size and details of the dress, so read them. About the length: I am 5'7", wore 3.5" heels, and the skirt was a little long, I wished I would have had about an inch more height, and then the length would have been perfect! The skirt was pretty flowy and stretchy, which made it very comfortable but meant it got stepped on quite a bit because it was a little long on me. Still, 100% recommend the dress if you can make the length work!

I'm usually a zero with a quite small upper-body frame and this size 2 fit quite snug.

I wore this dress for a formal occasion and it was an absolute hit! The lace pattern was unique and beautiful, and the dress itself was super comfortable. I got so many compliments all night! The dress did seem to run a little small. I did fit into the 2 which is my normal size but it was a little snug. It wasn't bothersome though. I would definitely recommend this dress!

This dress is amazing! The bottom is made up of several layers of quality fabric and looked beautiful when walking. I'm 5'9" and wore flats and it had enough length that I could've worn heels. (Size Long) Got compliments all night and it was super comfy and VERY flattering. Also the original dress I rented was ruined by another renter so this was my back up and I couldn't be happier. RTR's customer service is above and beyond helpful.

I am so happy with this dress! It fit true to size and had perfect snugness but comfort. Wearing a bra isn't necessary because the lining is sturdy enough to hold everything in and up! The length was perfect for me- I wore 3 or 4 inch heels and the length was perfect. The bottom half of the skirt is very flattering and forgiving and is made of a cool stretchy and comfortable knit. I have no complaints about this dress, the customer service to ship this to me overnight (as well as two different pairs of earrings) was spectacular. I can't wait to rent this year's prom dress from RTR!

This dress was perfect for a black tie wedding. I had originally ordered a different dress but when it came back damaged RTR replaced it with this dress and I loved it even more than the original I ordered. I'm 5'10" so length can be an issue. I wore the 6L with 2 inch wedges and the length was perfect. I will say the dress ran a bit small as I am normally a 2 or 4 in dresses but ended up wearing a 6L. The 4L wasn't available so based on others reviews I got the 6L which fit fine but probably could have gotten away with the 4L (I am small busted - 34B - so if you have a larger bust definitely size up). I received so many compliments on the dress throughout the night and completely fell in love with this dress. Will definitely rent from RTR again!

This was an incredibly flattering and feminine gown. It was the prettiest I have felt since I wore my wedding gown. I loved loved loved it!!! It runs true to size I actually wish I had ordered one size down as my extra size. Would rent this again in a heart beat!

Found this dress to be true to size. Didn't end up wearing it as the length was just too long. The top is beautiful and delicate and the bottom jersey fabric has yards and yards of beautiful flowy comfort room. Would definitely recommend this amazing dress. Bra not necessary.

The dress fit was truly "true to size." I wore a regular length but the dress did come up a little short. I wanted something to show off my shoes, so it all worked out in the end. The only slight problems were that the lace in the back would bunch up oddly and the straps of the nude undergarment loosened often and showed up on the shoulders. Loved this dress so much! Perfect for my senior prom!

The dress does run smaller on top, so I would recommend sizing up if you have a bigger bust. But other than that, the dress is absolutely perfect! It fit well with 4 inch heels. I also loved how nicely the dress flowed on the bottom. I would definitely rent the dress again.

First, the dress was absolutely gorgeous. The jersey fabric for the skirt have it so movement and elegance. The top was beautiful! A gorgeous off white color and the lace was very delicate and elegant. I wore the 4 and it was a bit snug in the top, but the length was perfect in high heels. I have never seen such a beautiful and elegant dress! Perfect for my senior prom and I definitely stood out!

This dress was beautiful. I got so many comments on how elegant it looked. Full skirt flows very well and lace adds nice detail. Very happy I chose this dress for prom! I was a little skeptical at first about my date wearing black, but it looked alright because the navy skirt is very dark. Added my own style with some sparkly Converse too! Overall, it was a great dress and I felt great wearing it.

My usual size is a 2L-4L, but since this designer runs small I ordered a 6L. It fit perfectly. I have a smaller, not too wide back and shoulders so I used fashion tape (came in my goody bag from RTR!) to secure the lace on the top as needed; I'm sure this won't be a problem for everyone. If it is, very easily fixed! The skirt was comfortable, and had beautiful body to it, and it looked so pretty dancing! I would highly recommend this dress. So many compliments! I definitely do not want to return this dress.

the dress was the hit of the formal! (I unofficially won best dressed) It fits really well but it does run a bit small so I recommend getting a size up so that it fits comfortably. the top part held everything together and the built in bra was a plus and the bottom part was very comfortable and loose so overall it was great!

this jersey is the best thing ive ever felt!!! sooo slinky and flowy. I am in between a 4 and a 6 and the 6 was small on me. Definitely size up! The lace is so pretty on top with the white illusion neck. I got a ton of compliments!

I absolutely loved this dress!!! I wore it with a nice leather belt to give it a more rustic feel for our outdoor riverside wedding. And the back of the dress is so classy. I usually wear size 0 and this was a 2R. It worked perfect. (I'm 115lb and 5'5") Fit snug on my rib cage, but not a problem once zipped.

I usually wear a size 6. This dress was 8P and it fit perfect! The length was just right. I'm 5'3".

It fit awesome I'm 6'0 tall so it was awesome that it was long enough for me. I could have worn heels also but still so comfy. I could have sleep in it! I would recommend this dress to anyone it's lovely.

This was my first RTR experience and it was incredible! The original dress I picked was ruined by the previous customer and this dress was actually my 3rd choice. I didn't expect to like it so much, but it fit beautifully and was extremely elegant. It was a little big since it's not my normal size, but overall you couldn't tell too much. The straps attached to the corset of the dress kept slipping off, but again; that could've been because the dress was a little big in the first place. If you're worried about wearing this to a wedding because of the white- it's more of a cream and blends in with the bottom color really well. Overall, I loved it!

I wore this dress to my Senior Prom and it definitely stood out from all the typical, bedazzled prom dresses. The length was just right and not too long when I wore it with 4 inch heels. Although the dress fit perfectly, the top half is a little too snug, and the bottom half of the dress is a little heavy, but it wasn't much of a bother, since the dress is really comfy. The only minor problem with this dress was the back opening, which didn't lie flat, but could probably fixed with fashion tape or something. Overall, I completely fell in love with the dress and received so many compliments :)

When I initially put the dress on, it seemed a little tight across the bust, but it loosened up as the night went on. The lace on top is beautiful! The back of the dress did sag a little where the opening was, but that didn't really bother me. The straps also didn't want to stay in place, so I had to keep pulling them up all night, but that wasn't a big issue either. The dress was LONG. In four inch heels the dress still pooled a LOT on the ground. Unless you are over 5'6" and wearing four inch or higher heels, go with the regular length with this one; that is a lot of skirt to hold up all evening. I loved the way the jersey draped in the skirt, it flowed so beautifully! I was told it made me look like a princess when I walked :) All in all, I loved this dress and it made for a classy, enjoyable night. I would definitely recommend this dress.

It was elegant and worked well for an outdoor wedding. The inside of the upper bodice is a lot tighter than the lace that covers it which is weird and caused it to hang kind of funny in the back. The size 10 would have been more comfortable for my boobs but it was falling apart so I couldn't wear it.

This dress is great for any body type and for any formal event. I didn't have to wear a bra because of the boning in the side of the dress and the jersey base was super comfortable. I loved the top and received a ton of compliments throughout the night.

I'm usually a 10 and can even wear a 12 with ball gowns but they zipped this size 8 up in the store and I felt glorious. I didn't need to wear a bra (and I ALWAYS wear a bra), and it complemented my waistline very nicely. The skirt has a few layers that fall so delicately and hide any bumps and lines. I had originally rented a different dress that didn't fit right, and found this one while trying on random dresses in the store. I had NO idea it was a size Petite (and I'm NOT petite-- I'm 5'9) until I returned it. I could not wear heels with it, but was thrilled to have an excuse to wear some cute gold flats.

This was my back up dress - and I'm SO HAPPY that the RTR Stylist suggested it for me! I wore it to my own wedding reception (celebrating a previous destination wedding). The lace and jersey are beautiful - a great hybrid of vintage and modern. The regular length skirt is very long (I had to pick it up while wearing 4" heels) but it adds to the beauty of the dress. I am full busted, so always have to order several sizes up in designer labels. Sometimes this is problematic as I have thing arms/legs; not a problem with this dress - it fit well, no adjustments/tape/crazy undergarments necessary! Strapless bra worked well (no need for a longline bra, just wore a regular strapless).

Beautiful dress! I did not end up wearing it for my senior prom however; it felt almost too formal for the occasion. The fabric was beautiful–heavier/thicker than I expected but it did not detract from the dress. I ordered the 10R but it was too big; this dress is very true to size. I would definitely rent again for a more formal occasion!

I think I could have worn the regular length, but the long worked with heels. This dress is so comfortable and beautiful. My original dress was returned in such poor condition, RTR would not send it out to me. They upgraded me to this instead and I couldn't have been happier. This dress made the wedding for me.

Rented this for a formal event and needed a super conservative look. It fit the bill! It's actually navy though, not black! The 10L was a little too long for me. I was tripping over it, but the 10R was unavailable. Wouldn't have been good for dancing because it was too long.

I had this dress sent as one of my replacement dresses when both of my original orders became unavailable. It was to beautiful and elegant but just too small and restricting for me to wear all night for prom! The bottom is very heavy and made of lots and lots of fabric so it might get hot. I wish I could've worn it but it was just too small :(

I normally wear a 4R but they only had a 2L so I was hoping it might stretch. It definitely does not, so it was a bit tight at the bust and waist and a bit long (I'm 5'5" and 110 lbs, waist 25) but still amazing. LOVE the skirt.

I didn't end up wearing this dress because the size I got didn't fit me (couldn't get zipper to close at the top)and I didn't have time to try to get another size. Regardless, the dress itself was very beautiful and elegant and I wish I could've worn it to some occasion. It was a lot heavier than I expected though so it's probably good that I didn't end up wearing it to the wedding because it would've been hot and cumbersome to dance in.

I loved this dress. It was my favorite dress from Rent the Runway so far. I loved the color of the lace, and how the waistline was at the very narrowest part of my body. An added plus was that the skirt fabric is heavier in weight which was nice for a chilly winter formal event. My only trouble was that the back of the dress kind of gaped open. I tried using fashion tape to make it lay flat, but that didn't work. However, it was not a big deal in the grand scheme of the evening.

Although this dress was delivered damaged (some of the lace was ripped in the back) and I never actually wore it for my event, it still was such an amazing dress. At first I was afraid that I wouldn't fit into it because of the reviews saying it runs small, but it was very true to size. The waist was a little snug though. It was so comfortable and I'm sure it would have been great for the night of dancing that I rented it for.

The dress fit very well other than the length. I am usually a size 4, especially when the bottom of the dress is loose. I sized up to a 6 based on other customer reviews. The 6R fit like a glove in the top and was very flattering. My bust is between a 32B and 34A. I am close to 5'8" and the 6R was definitely too short on me. My only option would have been a complete flat shoe. I also think that the color of the lace has become dingy from repeated dry cleaning. I am sure this was gorgeous as a new dress! I would consider ordering it again in a 6L.

I had originally rented another dress in a size 10 & 12 but unfortunately I received an email the day before my delivery that the size 10 was damaged beyond repair so they would send me a dress that was similar & the original size 12. Lucky for me, the size 12 fit very nicely & I preferred it more for this event that I had. This dress however is very beautiful & classic elegant. Looks very old Hollywood. It's very true to size. While I didn't use it for this time, I will remember it for next time for sure.

The dress fit fine in most places but was too big up top as you can see in one of the pictures I posted. It photographed well but I wish the buttons in the back would have laid flat. The size 2 was too small in the bust and the size 4, as you can see, was a bit big.
