Such a light, airy fabric. It's really a beautiful dress. Because the fabric is so delicate you have to be really careful when putting it on- otherwise there can be tiny little rips in the transparent part. It is a gorgeous dress- I wish I could wear it again!

I ordered this dress for a destination wedding in cancun. Now I ordered the 8R because the 6L was not available. It was big on me and I wish the 6L would have been available but I made it work. The only thing I was disappointed was that there were little button missing off the belt, but I hid that with my purse. The 6L really would have been better because I was not able to wear heels with the dress it would have come down too short. I am 5'7" so if your around my height order a long. Other than this everyone at the hotel and the wedding kept on stopping me to tell me how amazingly gorgeous my dress was. And that I was the best dressed at the wedding.

Get ready to receive compliments in this killer frock! This dress is absolutely stunning in person and so elegant. My only piece of advice with this dress is to wear tall heels - even the R runs long for a short person (I am 5'4).

I ordered this dress for an anniversary photo session in Martha's Vineyard and totally fell in love with it! My husband and I spent a few hours before sunset strolling over the rolling dunes and along the sparkling water. The color was amazing and I really liked the way it flowed in the wind. I wore a 4P and paired it with the Alexis Bitter Seaglass Lattice Teardrops to complete the look. I was so happy with this dress and I would rent it over and over again!

I did not want to return this dress!! I rented this for a direct sales conference gala. The fit was PERFECT - I ordered my normal size, and one size up, and the 6R fit like a glove!! The top layer is VERY delicate, and the dress was a little long on me. When walking, I was just sure to pick it up so I didn't step on it. The color of it is absolutely gorgeous, and the back is such a surprise (I don't have any photos, but the one on the site is a great reference). You will definitely need someone to help button up the back. I received so many compliments on this dress! If I hav another opportunity, I would definitely rent this dress again!!! :)

This dress was beautiful, and great to wear! I have a full bust so was expecting to end up wearing the 8R but I am glad I ordered the 6R as a backup because the bust was surprisingly loose. The hem at the bottom is delicate so look out for that, and you definitely will need an assistant to button the back buttons, but it's absolutely worth it- I wore this to a black tie gala and was bombarded by compliments the whole time- really made the steep rental price worth it.

I rented this dress for our engagement photo shoot and it was everything I hoped it to be: dreamy, elegant, and so special. The illusion neckline and covered buttons down the back are SO amazing. I have a small bust and usually wear a 0, so since this only came in a 2R, I was prepared for it to be large on me. So, I carefully placed temporary stitches under the arms to tighten up the the bust area and it worked fine. The dress was very long on me since I was wearing flats, but it probably would have been fine with four inch heels . Rent this! You will adore it!

I rented this dress in both a 6L and a 4R. I was supposed to receive a 4L but something in the order was messed up. The 6L gaped a bit on top, so keep that in mind if you're not too busty. Length wise it grazed the floor with 4 inch heels. The 4R fit absolutely perfectly and just touched the floor (I wore flats). This is a very delicate dress, as the top part is entirely mesh with beading. It's totally worth it as a rental though because it's possibly one of the most beautiful gowns on RTR. I got compliments all night in it and was told by all the faculty at my school that they though my dress was by far the most beautiful they had seen that night.

could have worn either the 4R or the 2R both fit fine (ended up wearing the 2R for a smaller waist). The 2R's hemline seemed shorter than the 4R by an inch or so. Loved the buttons and definitely needed someone there to do them up. people loved the front as much as they loved the back.

The dress for very well. I wore Steve Madden heels that were 4 inches and perfect. I ended up in the paper as the media covering the event thought it was a uniques dress!

Since my original dress didn't come, I chose this one the day before prom; it came as a 6R, but with a little bit of fashion taped, I was able to make it fit to my true size (4). The dress has a very nice length, and by compromising my heels with flats it fit perfectly! This dress is good for people with hourglass shapes and some curve who want a more elegant look. Although the detail gets washed out a bit with the camera flash, every single other aspect of the dress is amazing.

I originally ordered the Trendy Tracy Gown from Nicole Miller but there was an issue getting it to me on time. RTR emailed me and said they would upgrade me to any dress regardless of price, so I chose this one. I love RTR! I would not have been able to get a beautiful dress like this otherwise, so the mishap actually worked out in my favor! The size 4L fit like a glove, it was so perfect. I am 5'8" and wore 3" heels and the length was just right. I cannot believe how lovely this turned out, it fit so well. I got compliments all night. I wanted to vintage Hollywood lock and this was absolutely lovely for it. I recommend this dress 10x over, its so beautiful and very comfortable. If you are shorter than 5'8" I would not recommend the long size because even with my heels it was grazing the floor. Thanks RTR, I will certainly rent again!!!

This gown is a work of art! The flower detail on the neckline is beyond stunning and makes this dress so unique. I paired it silver studs from Juliet and Company. Fit wise, it runs true to size and you can get away with not wearing a bra. The only downside is that the outer layer of tulle is extremely delicate so I had to be very careful no one stepped on it all night. Not an ideal dress if you want to be dancing all night. But otherwise, it is a real stunner!

This dress was ethereal and stunning! The fabric felt really soft against my skin and the bodice was so beautiful! The only downside to the dress was the buttons in the back, which need to be individually hooked, and you cannot do that alone. The button holes are small, so it takes some effort to get them fastened. But very worth it! Thanks, RTR, for letting me try it on for free!

I wore this dress to the james beard awards in NYC, the same night the Met Gala was going on. people on the street were stopping me to ask about the dress. A fashion blogger snapped a pic and later exclaimed on her blog "best dressed of the night!", a reporter stopped us on the red carpet to interview my husband but instead wanted to talk about my dress! The attention this dress brought me seriously caught me off guard. i could not have felt any more beautiful. This dress is elegant, ethereal and apparently eye-catching.. Im 5'7", and wore 4 inch heels. I ordered the 4 regular and it was still a tad long. i was worried about the delicate tulle catching on my heel all night. Also i could have probably gotten away with a 2R because i have such a small bust, but honestly the fit was very comfortable. I didnt want to take it off. and absolutely take the advice of previous reviews~ have someone handy to button up all of the tiny buttons up the spine. I have rented A LOT of gowns from rent the runway and this one is by far my favorite. do yourself a favor ladies, and rent this beauty.

This dress is beautiful! It is all tulle overlay. The skirt is not chiffon like you might think from the picture. It has a very serene, vintage feel. The band around the waist is little flat, round silver beads sewed on in rows, and the same beads are used to decorate the embroidery. It has built-in underwire bra cups. I know RtR says this dress fits a whole size small, but that was not my experience with it. I tried on the 6 and it was definitely too big! They overnighted me a different dress since the 4 was not available, but the back-up dress didn't work, and this dress is so beautiful, that I wore it anyway. The 6 fit me perfectly in the other two dresses in my order, so I would say I'm a pretty solid size 6 and that this dress actually runs big. I would recommend sizing down in your back-up dress! Also, the dress is really long! I am 5'3" and wore shoes with a 6" heel in order to get it to the length you see in my pictures. Turns out, once you get the front of the dress up off the ground, it has a little sweep train in the back, which was a fun surprise but a logistical challenge! The silk tulle is very fragile and I was constantly worried about stepping on it and tearing it, so this dress is definitely best for an event where you intend to look regal while mostly standing or sitting still. It is not right for an event where you intend to mingle a lot or dance! I really loved wearing the dress, although I would have felt much more comfortable in the 4. As always, RtR customer service was AMAZING in getting me alternatives and trying to solve the sizing problem!

What you need to know: you must have someone to button the dozen plus buttons on the back of this dress for you If you are a girl 5ft 7 and over rent the Long version That being said if you are taller than 5ft 8 dont expect to be able to wear heels with the dress The chiffon fabric is thin and delicate and could tear on a high heel easily (I wore 3inch wedges)

Loved this dress, felt heavenly on, got amazing comments all night. It was a big band theme, and the 40s hair and makeup sealed the deal. MAKE SURE you have help to get the dress on-- there are 19 buttons that a second set of hands will be required to manage. Also, i didn't wear a bra, no need- im a 34C. I went with L but a R would have been fine on my 5-7 frame--- even with heels on the L was lonnnggg. Thank you RTR for being amazing!

I loved this gown and wish I could have made it work for my event. The detail on the dress is stunning! If only I was just a few inches taller! Sadly it was just too long, I am 5'2-5'3 and I had on 5 inch heels and it was still dragging to the point where I was worried I would accidentally rip the dress. However, if you are 5'4 or taller I would HIGHLY recommend this dress! Make sure you are not getting ready alone though because there are about 10-12 buttons on the back of the dress which one can't do alone! LOVED though!

I loved this dress. I would wear it again in a heart beat. It was comfortable and true to size. My only complaint was the buttons on the back of the dress ripped, luckily my sister was able to pin it without making it noticeable.

My size wasn't available so I went with a size up and it was definitely too large. I had to pin parts back so that it wasn't falling off of me and fitting weird (HAD to make it work because the dress is so unique and gorg!).

This dress wasn't perfect for me, yet I went with it. My usual size, 4R, was too big in this dress. And way too long. The 2R fit very well but was still long, even with 3" heels. I wore it anyway because I loved it so much and it fit so well otherwise. I was a little worried someone would step on the back of the dress - it's longer than the front. Didn't need a bra, it's very supportive. As someone else said, don't rent this dress if you're not going to have help getting into it - the zipper is hard to get up and there are lots of buttons. All in all, I guess no one noticed the length, because all anyone could say was how beautiful the dress was. I had people coming up to me the whole night.

I ordered a 4P because I read from other peoples reviews that length was an issue with this dress. A 2P was not available at the time that I ordered this dress so I compensated the large bust of the 4P dress by buying a heavily padded bra. I was happy that I was not stumbling around all night and tipping on my dress so that definitely overlooked the large bust on the dress. I would definitely recommend this dress, I received so many compliments!

This dress is the one all other dresses must match up to, for me. The color is a perfect ethereal blue. The fabric on the skirt was a really soft, delicate mesh - VERY delicate, so be careful with your heels! The embroidered overlay on the bodice is stunning, and the best part is the buttons up the back. Of course you'll need a helper to get buttoned in, but it's totally worth it. Regarding size - I've worn Catherine Deane since I wore this dress and the other dresses seem to fit smaller than this one. The 2R was almost big on me. I think a 0 in this dress would've been perfect. But truly the most special thing I've ever worn. I'm a dance teacher, and my little girls STILL talk about this dress, and say I was Queen Elsa from "Frozen" that night <3

fits true to size -- i ordered a 6, my usual size, and it fit perfectly. the only issue for me was the length. i read reviews about the dress running long, but that was not my experience at all. i'm 5'5", and the 6R was just the right length with no shoes on. i ended up buying a pair of 1" kitten heels to wear with it, but honestly could have worn flats! wish i had gotten the 6L as the back-up size instead of the 8R, as i could have used an extra few inches to wear one of the pairs of heels i already had.

Beautiful dress, although I unfortunately did not wear. RTR sent this to me in place of a dress that was not available and it was a little too formal for the event I was attending. I can't say enough about how breathtaking this gown is. Hope to wear it soon!

Very delicate fabric. Runs true to size. The zipper was defective so Ihad to be really careful when i zipped it up for the event. Also the bottom of the dress was distressed and you can tell it has be worn but no one would notice other than me.

I rented the 4 and a 6 as a back up, they fit almost the same except the 4 was a little tight at my rib cage so I wore the 6. It was stunning I received so many compliments.

At least 15 people told me they loved my dress, including the parents of the bride! Fits true to size. Don't need spanx. You can wear a strapless bra if it makes you more comfortable (the built in bra is a joke). Gorgeous, gorgeous dress.

This dress is stunning, and even at a formal wedding at which everyone was dressed to the nines, everyone was commenting about how gorgeous my dress was. This is a really elegant dress, beautifully made, and retro in a certain way - very Grace Kelly, and I felt like a princess in it. Please do note that everyone is correct about this dress - it is long. I am 5'7" and was wearing platforms, plus I have long legs, and this dress was still dragging a bit. Fantastic dress for a memorable night out!

The fabric is very delicate and you have to be super careful that no one steps on it. There is absolutely no give, so your extra should probably be a size up. Make sure you have someone else to button it up for you!

The dress was stunning. Such a beautiful shade of mint and the intricate embroidery made it truly one of a kind. The top fitted part (not the overlay) ran the tiniest bit big, but with the overlay everything was held nicely in place. Overall the shape was very comfortable and flattering since it flows out from the waste. Wore it with 4'' heels and the length was perfect. Would absolutely rent again.

I loved it. I felt like a beauty queen in this dress, and everyone kept complimenting me. Looks exactly like the picture. The material is so soft and flowy, and the perfect shade of light blue. Loved it! I am so glad I read the previous comments and got the Regular size and not the Long. I was in 4 inch heels and the dress was still slightly trailing the floor. If I could give this 10 stars I would!

Beautiful dress with gorgeous detail on the front and very flattering. I'm normally a 4R but after reading others reviews and concerned that the dress would be too long I decided to go with the 4P which was a good length for me with 2" heels, maybe a little on the short side. No bra needed. I wore this for my barristers ball (law school formal) and I received lots of compliments all night and had a great time!
