This dress is fitted but I am a pretty full 36 C and it still worked. Loved it with a little faux fur shrug for the winter. You could wear this dress anytime of year.

This dress was beautiful and the top color is great if you have blue eyes. It is definitely bigger on the bottom and smaller on the hips so I would not recommend for a pear shape. I also found it to be super comfortable and had to both dance in it and sit for a long dinner. I was disappointed that it did not come with the belt shown in the pic so it was only two colors but it was still gorgeous! The other negative is that it is designed to go in as the leg goes down and there is no slit so you can't take big strides.

I'd been awaiting an opportunity to wear this dress for awhile, so it seemed a natural choice when my home state's 2013 inauguration party rolled around. It was flattering and fitting for the occasion, but I wouldn't exactly call it easy to wear. Even with shapewear, I couldn't pull the skirt up over my hips (trips to the restroom meant taking off the whole dress, but I adapted). Despite those hiccups, I felt extremely elegant and classy. A few hours of slight discomfort was an appropriate trade-off for the glamour and the compliments! My shoes were agonizing at the end of a night of standing, though, so take the time to adjust the hem with tape or pins with whatever shoes work for you.

wore this dress for prom and loved it and got lots of compliments. the shape is really good and the colors are just like how they are in the picture. Only problem I had was the belt was a bit tight, but it helped shape my hips. the skirt was kind of a challenge to walk in because it doesn't allow much room for your legs to move, and wrinkled pretty easily. Im normally a 6r, and ordered both the 6 and 8r but went with the 8.

Although a stunning dress, you really need a rocket bod for this to look good on you all night long. I felt good, not great in the 6L—a bit snug around the waist and a bit loose in the chest—but the 8L was way too big in the chest, and it seemed the issue was nothing a good pair of spanx couldn't cure. But the problem came after sitting through a ceremony and a sit-down dinner. By that time the grosgrain blue belt (which is essentially just a wide ribbon) had crumpled and folded over itself as well as the the rest of the mid-riff of the dress. I found myself keeping my wrap on for the majority of the night after that to distract from what looked like an ill-fitting dress. Fabric has quite a satin sheen that I wasn't expecting too, more than you expect from the photo—a bit bridesmaid-ish. But still a stunning dress for the right rocket bod and the appropriate event.

Gorgeous and comfortable dress. I am 5'6 and it was barely long enough, so if you are taller than 5'6 you probably need to go up in the length. It photographed beauitfully and the color is very close to the picture on the model.

Very flattering and looks great on. I am a size 0 and it fit me very well. A bit loose in the chest area but it was a non issue

I was receiving an alumni award from my college, Georgia Tech, and wanted to wear a classy dress to the event with a little pop of color. This dress was perfect! The only thing is, I wear a 32B bra and the bust on this dress is small even though the waist area fits true to size. Needless to say, I had to wear a super duper padded bra (Victoria Secret "Bombshell" strapless) just to fill it out. Also, some of the dresses run a little short when you wear 3 inch heels, so I ordered both size options in "long". I was almost dragging the dress on the floor! So order the regular length and you should be ok with heels on. All in all, I received a number of compliments and enjoyed the event.

It was just the perfect length with kitten heels, would not recommend for anyone taller. I'm usually a size 6-8 in dresses. This dress is very fitted on the bottom and with my cup size, it was definitely better to go up a size. This dress is classic and stands out in the sea of black at formal events. Very flattering, the only thing is it can get a uncomfortable if you're going to be sitting a lot as the boning in the bodice can dig into your sides. Also, not the best dress for dancing as it is pretty straight and narrow on the bottom. Also had to steam before wearing as the fabric was wrinkled after shipping. Wore the Ciner Crystal Link drop earrings which were PERFECT with it!

Gorgeous dress, looks great in photos, but too long for 5'2" petite gal, runs small

I got the 8 and 10, but this is definitely not for someone who isn't tall or has hips. At 5' and hippy, not a great choice on my part. Also, there were rips in the dress by the zipper, so even if it did fit, I probably wouldn't have worn it. Once again, though, RTR customer service was great and extremely helpful with everything!

I rented other long gowns for formal events from RTR, unfortunately this one just doesn't work for petite sizes.

I could get this dress to zip over my hips in a size 6R but it was so tight I could hardly walk. As you may imagine this was not a flattering look either. FYI the middle color is a belt (which was not included in my order). I think this dress would be pretty on someone who didn't have hips at all but even sizing up it wouldn't have worked. If I sized up 2 sizes to an 8 my hips would have been ok but the top and waist would have been much too loose. Pretty color and nice fabric but only for someone with very even proportions.

I was disappointed by this when it arrived. The fabric looked cheap and the middle band of color is actually a grosgrain ribbon, which I didn't realize when I looked at the photo. I couldn't even get close to zipping the 0. I'm sure this would be pretty on a tall woman for the right occasion, but it wasn't right for me.
