This dress is true to size and fits snug. The boning helps give good support but it is very breathable. I was able to dance all evening and still look great walking out of my event.

I rented this dress earlier this year in a 6 and it was waaay too big. I re-rented on a size 2 for a party and was not disappointed. The fabric is beautifully intricate and photographs amazingly. Instead of wearing it knee=length, I used fashion tape to make it a mini-dress for a night out on the town! I'll definitely be renting this dress again!!!

For starters, the dress is dazzling! The picture of the dress on the model doesn't do it justice. When you see it in person, you notice the very fine details like the copper and light blue lace sewn into the design. It looks extrememely expensive. In addition and as a result of this design, the dress looks better in flash photography. I found that without the flash, it just looked a tad more dull and navy. The one issue I had with the dress was the inconvenient sizing options. The only options were a 2,6, & 10, making it impossible to "comfortably" size up or down. I ended up getting the 6 and the 2. The 6 was huge, especially around the hips and the bust was way too large. For the 2, the bust was perfect, but the hips were extremely tight. The size 4 would have been perfect if available. Although, after some intense squeezing, I ended up wearing the 2. It almost acted like its own version of Spanx. Other than the sizing issue, my overall experience was fantastic! You will really stand out in this red carpet-worthy dress.

This dress was so beautiful! The fit was really flattering, and I could not have been happier with it! Also, the color is stunning in person and great for my fair skin! I would definitely rent this again!

Was sad to send this one back! The fit was perfect, and the fabric was stunning. I paired with some fun jewelry and a skinny belt as an accent.

I normally wear a 2 so, taking the other reviewers' advice, I got both the 2 and 0 and thank goodness I did size down. (*RTR NOTE: You should definitely update your recommendation to size down not up for your recommended fit). I was swimming in the 2 - even with some fashion tape and a strapless bra, the top wouldn't stay up (and filling out dresses has never been a problem for me before ha!). After a little muscle work, I got into the 0 and it was BEAUTIFUL. Would love to own this dress!

it fits SO well. I wear a size 2, but I got a zero just to see, and the zero actually fit a lot better, so I'm glad I did that. it has a simmer to it, which is what makes it look really elegant! I got multiple comments on this dress! I would rent it again! I love how the top of the dress goes to a point. I dont have a lot up top, but this made it look like I did ;) very classy!

was a little long especially for my 5'1" frame. i tucked it in a couple of inches at the waist and hid it and held it in with a belt. the added belt actually really pulled the look together.

The dress that I received looked like it had been worn many, many times. Threads were coming out and it actually looked like it was sewn at the bottom hem. If it was not so close to my event, I might have sent it back. That being said, the fit of the dress was good. I ordered my normal dress size and it was a little big in the top and the mid-section, but nothing that I could not work with. I would try RTR again.

I got this dress for a night at the opera and just absolutely love it. The fabric was beautiful and made me feel amazing all night. The dress is very flattering for an hourglass kind of gal, but you definitely need something up top. The dress is large in the bust area. Luckily, I could fill it out, but I wouldn't recommend to someone smaller than a C or D cup. Absolutely beautiful dress, Wish I had taken a pic to post.

I ordered both a 2 and a 4, but I assumed I'd need the 4 with my fuller hips and thighs. The size 4 was loose all over, especially in the bust. The size 2 fit nicely, but it was not quite as fitted along the bust as I would have liked. I certainly don't consider myself flat-chested, but I prefer when strapless dresses fit like a glove along the bust. It was a lovely dress, though, and the double-stick tape that came with my order ensured the top stayed in place.

The brocade fabric was figure flattering and great under the lights. The cut was forgiving too-- which is always a nice addition.

This is a great dress, classic lines, with an edgy fabric. Loved the way this looked on!

I wore this dress to a summer wedding. As it was very warm, the dress was probably a little inappropriate in terms of fabric. I didn't realize that the jacquard fabric would be so thick so it would be a better match for a winter wedding, but I was probably the only one who noticed. I still ended up wearing it because it was sooo pretty on. I felt timeless and very Mad Men-chic. As others have noted, the top runs a little big, but I think it is supposed to fall so that the top hem isn't resting on your skin but rather protruding away from your chest slightly. It makes for a dangerous risk of showing some bra, but I got strategic with pins and was thrilled with the results. Very pleased!

The picture really does not do the dress justice. The fabric is flecked with silver and looks so rich and expensive. It hit me at the knee (I'm tall) so it was perfect for a black tie optional wedding. One caveat, girls with larger chests, the bust is a smidge too small.

I absolutely loved this dress. It was so beautiful on and looked so elegant and fun at the same time. Definitely looks good if you have a bigger bust.

This dress is very pretty in person and a number of friends commented on how beautiful it looked right out of the packaging. I was not able to wear it however. I usually wear a 10 and the bottom of the dress was true to size but the top was very large. I am a 36D and the top of the dress was not snug at all as a strapless dress should be. It was huge and wouldn't stay up at all. Disappointed because it really was pretty.

I got this dress for my cousin's wedding, and I received a ton of compliments. I was slightly disappointed by the fact that it looked so worn out and fuzzy as if someone had gotten on the wrong side of velcro in the dress. It was very pretty, but probably should have been retired. If it was not as over-used, I would definitely wear again and probably buy it! Not really the fault of RTR, more so the designer who chose the facbric. It fit well, but does not have any give, so don't plan on eating alot and feeling comfortable later!

Love the top! This "U" neckline is great and makes it a little more formal/different than other dresses. Could have easily been dressy enough for a black tie wedding. Unfortunately the size I ordered did not fit. I think this dress ran large depending on your bust size to "hold" it up. But I put it on and it literally dropped to my waist.

I actually didn't get to wear this dress for the event as originally intended, but it's gorgeous. I rented the size 8 and the size 10, but we ended up not attending. The 10 looked very new and hardly touched, but the size 8 looked like it had a little more wear. Both run pretty true to size but are rather large in the bust, but the length was just fine. The dress does not stretch at all, but the fabric is beautiful. It's difficult to see in the picture, but this dress also has a touch of copper running through it too. Sounds strange, but it's just beautiful. I would rent it again for sure! Simply stunning!

I normally wear an 8, but I wore this dress in size 6 because I wanted it tight to my waist. I have a large chest (D) and it did not leave a ton of room there, but it fit perfectly snug to my curves (even after eating whatever I wanted the evening before and throughout the wedding reception)

The fabric is beautiful, black, blue, bronze and silver, looks very expensive. The top is a bit large and I recommend fashion tape to keep everything intact. From the waist down it is fitted. I am between a curvy and pear shape, the dress was very flattering for my figure. I wore it to a black tie event, tons of complements. Not sure I would try it if you have a small chest or a very large chest.

Over-all this dress is too big in the bust. I was not able to wear it because it was gaping aroudn the bust.

I got many compliments on this dress because its a stunning, unique dress. I loved the look of it, but the dress was a little beaten up and picky upon a close inpection. I also found it to run really, really large in the chest, even in the size 4 and I normally wear a size 6 dress. Unless you have a very large dress, I would stear clear of the dress.

Love the look of this dress BUT when I tried it on, it was too loose in the wrong areas. I am a DD and the top was too loose, the hips were bunchy and the hem was uneven. The material looks great although there were some pulls, if it fit better i dont think they would be noticeable. I would order down and def get a backup. For the right lady, this will look fantastic

beautiful dress and stunning fabric, but runs big! I'm normally a 4 and the 2 was still big. I ended up wearing something from my own closet.
