I wore this dress to the inaugural ball and I got a ton of compliments all night. The dress is gorgeous, the pictures do not do it justice. The color is a very deep emerald green and the fabric flows beautifully when you walk. I did not want to send it back. The best part is, in a room full of the same handful of dresses in different colors, I was the only one with this dress on! This dress does run a bit small. I usually wear a 0 but the 2 fit like a glove. The length is shorter than I thought, I'm only 5'2 and wore 2 inch heels and the bottom barely grazed the floor. It was great for me because I did not want to have to wear higher shoes that night. The black lining does tend to roll up on top but a little bit of double sided tape fixed this with no problem. I would recommend this dress if you want to stand out and be sure no one else is wearing the same dress.

This dress runs small, I wear a 2 or 4, the Rent the Runway stylist suggested renting a 6, so glad she did!!

The emerald color of the fabric is so rich and gorgeous. Plus, the detailing on the bodice is to die for. I got so many compliments and felt like a rockstar! The black lining does show a little bit on the top as you can see in my first picture, but its not hugely noticeable and doesn't look bad. The inside lining on the top is a lifesaver! It holds you in really securely all the way down to your waist where the belt is. I wasn't afraid of my dress falling down all night, even while dancing. I tried both the 0R and 2R and there wasn't a horribly large difference between the two, but decided on the 0R, because it felt a little more secure. The lining also has nice structure so there is no need to wear a bra. I'm not sure if this dress would work for larger busted women however, since the top is snug and doesn't stretch. I am 5'4" and wore about 4" heels and the bottom of the dress was about an inch off the ground in front and just touched the ground in back, since the back is just slightly longer. The length was perfect for me. Taller girls would probably have to adjust with shorter heels/flats. The dress flows so beautifully when you walk because of a disguised slit up the back. So awesome! I would recommend this to anyone going to a black tie affair or military ball if they wanted to stand out and feel amazing. So so happy with my choice.

This dress is gorgeous, very elegant! I am 5'8" and the regular was short on me with heels, I would recommend wearing low heels if you're taller. I have a small chest and waist, so the 4 fit me perfectly. I would definitely recommend this dress!

The dress fit well and was comfortable but the hem was a mess. It had loose threads and did not look polished. Also the material wrinkles really easy but that's the risk you take with satin.

I originally rented another dress & it did not fit & neither did my back up. After talking with a stylist the same day as my event, she rushed over 4 other dresses for me to try & this was one of them. It was very flattering & comfortable. I danced all night & never worried about anything being out of place. The train is not very long & didn't get in the way. It was a great choice!

This was a back-up dress a stylist helped me pick out after another dress was unavailable. I normally wear a 4 or 6, but went with an 8 because this dress runs small. I loved everything about the dress except the small train/puddle in the back. It wasn't easy to tape up because there's a slit so I had to be very careful walking around and dancing. In 3" heels, this was the perfect length for me.

A bit tight on bust and I have a small bust but like that it keeps the dress up.

The only flaw of the dress is that the wiring from the corset came out through the top and cut my skin. Besides that the beauty was worth the pain.

The overall dress runs small. I am a size 6 (5'9", 145 lbs), I ordered an 8. The dress fit perfectly in the waist, but the bust was large (don't order if you are an A), and the hips had extra material that stuck out on the sides. The length was too short to wear with a heel.

I rented both the 4R and 6R. For me, there wasn't a huge difference in the sizes, I normally wear a 2 or a 4. I would agree with getting the size you normally wear and then one size up. If you want the dress to be as long as it is in the picture, you will need to get a long size. Even barefoot it just touched the ground. Second, there are two zippers, one for the padded inside and one for the actual dress. If you are zipping yourself up, be prepared to zip the wrong zipper. A lot. Although the dress is padded on top, the lining actually rolls over the edge of the dress, which would be ok if it was the same color, but since it is black it just looks odd. I am long waisted, so the belt came just below my rib cage, making my hips look ginormous. Gorgeous in the picture, just did work for me in reality.
