I loved this dress! I got compliments on it all day, and it fit me like a glove. I highly recommend it!

The colors of this dress are amazing. The green was more emerald though,but still a really nice color combo with the gold and the pattern. It does fit true to size and I could have used a little bit more room in the hip area. I wore this dress 2 months postpartum so maybe if I lost some more weight it would have been more comfortable in the hips. The other reviews I read about this dress made me nervous about the sleeves, some girls felt they had to use double stick tape to keep them from falling. I didn't have to, but I kept checking to make sure my bra straps were covered by the sleeves in the back. As far as RTR customer service- AMAZING! When I received both dresses, the 8 had a stain, I called them and let them know, even though I wasn't able to wear that size anyways, I didn't want to maybe be held responsible. I explained to the rep I just wanted it noted on the account and that I would be sending both back, because neither size fit me. She was more than happy to overnight me the next size. I got it on time and was able to wear it to the wedding.

I'm short so I'm definitely lacking a torso so the straps slid down all night. But I rocked the look shoulder strap look when I couldn't adjust the straps while networking.

The sleeves fell down a lot. For a size 2 it was not very fitted. Was comfortable and felt beautiful!

I rented this dress for a birthday party. In the photo, me and a friend were joking around wearing both sizes to take a photo! Girl on the left is wearing the size 6, girl on the right is wearing the size 4. The green and shiny gold colors are vibrant and make this dress eye catching! I ordered two sizes, 4 and a 6 and went with the larger one. The 4 fit okay but for some reason the sleeves kept falling down and would not stay on my shoulders. By the way, I have broad shoulders for my frame so this may be why. Therefore, I opted for the 6 which fit perfectly all around. The bottom part of the dress fits more like a pencil skirt so I recommend this as a dinner dress vs. dancing as you cannot move your legs freely . Also, the gold material is stiff. For the $35 I paid, very well worth it. Looking forward to renting dresses from this designer in the future! Love the indian inspired look!

Preface: To start, I had originally reserved a different dress but at the last minute RTR called to tell me the dress was damaged and that I could reserve any other dress regardless of price. This is the third time I have had to deal with customer service and honestly, RTR has the best customer service of any place I've ever dealt with. They took care of me and made sure that every step along the way I felt comfortable and that I was pleased. Thank you Rachel and everyone that assisted me! Now for the dress: I am normally a size 2 and being slightly-pear shaped was a bit snug on my thighs. The 4 was much too big in the chest and I think with a good pair of spanks , I would have been more comfortable (flew in from out of state!). I would definitely not recommend this dress for women with large chests or that are truly pear shaped because the fit would not be very flattering. I love the sleeve detail - my picture doesn't do it justice but it's very whimsical and delicate. BUT- either wear strapless or go without because I was adjusting the sleeves all night long. Since I wore a strapless bra it wasn't too much of an issue but I had changed from regular to strapless between the ceremony and reception. Overall Impression: I received numerous compliments from women of all ages about how wonderful the dress looked and quite honestly, it made me feel pretty. I felt pretty in this dress and it played to my best features which is a success in my book. I would recommend this dress for someone who is looking for a unique but romantic dress - preferably with more standing than sitting. Thank RTR!

This dress is just stunning. It is very true to size, and fit comfortably. The length was sophisticated, yet the pattern was fun. A great combination! The fitted look is super sexy and hugs the hips so nicely. This would be ideal for an Indian Wedding, like majority of the styles by Bibhu. I recommend stepping outside of the box with this one, you will be happy that you did! Beautiful!

For our New Years Eve party, I wore this dress with bangle bracelets. I got so many compliments, felt different and beautiful! It was absolutely beautiful - though tough to sit down in. Tight A-line in the skirt looks great - but makes it difficult. Perfect to party all night long!

The 6 was pulling just a little, but the 8 seemed much longer which didn't work for my height. A little disappointing since the six had some discoloration, but in fairness I never would have noticed if I didn't have another one to compare it to. Well tailored, definitely distinct. Sleeves need to be anchored, but a safety pin through each bra strap held it just fine!

You will need a strapless bra for this dress. The liner is wonderful. I wasn't cold all evening, even with it being cold outside.

I loved this dress. The body of it fit like a glove! I'm usually a S/M on top and size 6/8 pants. I wore a regular bra with this, but you have to use garment tape to keep the dress's sleeves up. They will fall down otherwise (my only reason for 4/5 stars). But the back of the dress came up high enough that it covered my back bra strap. The fabric is thick and luxurious. I thought the design looked tuxedo-ish, and has a great color palate - esp for Vegas. I had compliments from strangers walking down the Strip and many personal compliments at the wedding. Very comfortable, easy to move in, easy to sit in.

The 8 wasn't available so I got this in a 10. The hips were fitted - not sure if I could have squeezed in the 8, but the top was a little big. As others have said I had an issue with the sleeves slipping down, but fashion tape worked great! I took a close-up pic of the fabric - the dress is a gold color and in photos the light bounces off it in a way that looks metallic, but note the the pattern is a matte graphical print - still fun, just not what I was expecting.

I wore this for a rehearsal dinner & it worked perfectly.

I rented this dress for my graduation. It was gorgeous but the only downside is that the sleeves were hard to keep up. I had to tape them to my shoulders but other than that I loved the dress. It was bright and added just the right amount of pizzazz to my day :)

The dress is form fitting; I ended up wearing the larger size that came. I would have like to have tried an even bigger size. The cap sleeves are the sweetest, most beautiful detail. The construction of the entire dress was impeccable, and I definitely recommend it!

As many others have noted, the sleeves tend to fall down from your shoulders - it's a quirky thing, since the fit everywhere else is fine, just not in the shoulders. I luckily needed to wear a jacket for the event, so this covered it up, but if you are planning to wear this, definitely consider using some fashion tape or double-sided tape.

As other reviewers have stated, there is no stretch to the dress. My hips are a bit wider, so I opted for the larger size after trying both my size and the larger size on. That being said, if I owned this dress, I would have had to get it tailored/taken in, in the bust area. The design of the dress definitely flatters a curvy figure, great dress overall.

Fits tight in the hips as other reviewers stated. I would have liked to try the 8, but it wasn't available as a 2nd size.

I really liked the colors and pattern of this dress, but it was way too small in the hips. Even my backup size (a size larger) was so tight I could not sit down. I was disappointed that I didn't get to wear it, but it just didn't have any give!

The fit was great. I'm 5' 5", 140 and rented a size 6 and 8. Although the 6 fit, the 8 was more comfortable. The arms to fall down, but they provided tape.

I'm a pear-shaped girl, with a smaller top and larger hips. For this dress, I rented both 8 and 10 since it was form-fitting, figuring that at the very least the 10 would fit me. Well, trying on, I noticed the 8 fit properly up top. I usually wear a 6 on top, and the 8 fit like a 6 usually does. The bottom was a different story entirely. I couldn't zip the 8 at all, with or without spanx. The 10 zipped without spanx but looked much better with. I noticed that the shoulders slid down on the 10, but not at all on the 8 (which fit properly up top, I think this means that the right fitting dress will have no droop issues) . With the fit being so tight on bottom I decided not to wear the dress at all. Sad, as it was really cute. Pear-shaped girls, beware!

Fit was a bit snug around the hips. I usually wear a 6 and glad I sized up for the extra. I agree with the other reviews that the sleeve portion tends to fall down but I just left it off the shoulder a little. I got a ton of compliments on it and the material was very high quality.

Rented this for an Indian wedding, which was the perfect occasion to wear it. It is colorful and the material is "sari-like" without being a sari. There is absolutely NO stretch to this dress however, I ended up wearing the 10, as the 8 was small on my hips and thighs and I worried it would be so wrinkled after a cab ride to the event. I am busty, so the 10 fit perfectly throughout the chest, but the shoulders of the dress kept slipping off. I think this is a great dress for the right event-

The dress' gold is truly a shiny, beautiful gold. It is like wearing jewels. The details on the bust and waist can give those who can wear the dress a really nice, defined shape. Unfortunately, the dress was too large in the shoulders for my figure. The cap sleeves slid down my arms and the waistline gathered in bunches which you can see in the profile photo. Mostly this is from the fact that I'm short-waisted and have small shoulders. But the waist was quite large even if the shoulders fit. The hip area was a tiny bit snug considering how loose the waist was on me.

I rented this for a "black-tie optional wedding". The fabric has a little give but is a good knit so it looked sufficiently formal. Everyone is right about the sleeves falling down, definitely need a strapless bra. I had to size up because the six was too tight in the hips and was a bit short. Would not recommend for hot outdoor wedding as the fabric does not breathe easily but the colors are great! The dress is conservative enough for a wedding without looking dowdy and I got a ton of compliments on the print.
