Worn for a relatively quiet New year's eve out in the Philadelphia suburbs. FIT: I am normally a 6 (sometimes a 4), and ordered an 8 as my backup after reading other reviews. I fit into both the Size 6 and Size 8 and was able to zip up both. But the Size 8 was more comfortable, especially after a large dinner! In the first photo, I am wearing the 6 (left) and my friend is wearing the 8 (right). You can see that the Size 6 pulls across the hips a little and pinches in the underarm region, while the 8 caused neither of those problems. The pencil skirt did not hug the legs on either size; the diameter of the leg opening at the bottom hem is really wide. The bodice is close-fitting, leaving little to no extra room in the chest region, so large-chested might not find this dress to their liking. STYLE: The dress has a very professional, mature silhouette, but the print panels on the sides are such a fun, trendy touch that I was able to wear this dress out for cocktails. The semi-plunge v-neck shows just a little shadow at the bust, hinting at cleavage without showing any. I found the print actually a little youthful up close, like a crazy motif you'd find on a garment at Urban Outfitters, but you can't detect this vibe from far away. And the way the panels are designed & sewn in is extremely flattering, so that makes up for the print!

I wore this as an event manager for our annual fundraising Gala in Washington, DC. The dress was AMAZING! It was professional, chic and very appropriate. One of my favorite dresses EVER. Compliments were almost distracting, as I was running around managing the event. Very modern, yet also called "Betty Draper" from Mad Men by a good friend. The length is longer, which is a good look for a more professional event. The peplum wasn't too much, and the panels on the sides were stunning. Highly recommend!

Runs small, difficult to move in because the hips are so snug. But these are manageable because the dress is so unique in fabric and style. It has a beautiful sheen to it and I loved the dress

I felt amazing in this dress. The fabric is gorgeous in person and has a sheen, which makes it translate dressier than appears online. I fluctuate between a 2 and a 4, and I wore the 2, which worked because I have a small chest and ribcage. It's very fitted in the bust, so size up if you're bigger chested. This dress is definitely for a straight and narrow person, and better on someone who is tall (it hit at my knees and I'm 5'8"). It also has almost no stretch, so I would size up for backup. Overall AMAZING dress, very chic, perfect for a cocktail party or dinner!

I loved this dress even though I didn't wear it! This was my backup and I only received the 8. I zipped it up without a problem, but it definitely looked like I squeezed myself in there and wasn't going to be comfortable for an all-day event. Basically, the style notes are correct - the cut is narrow and curves should size up. I hope to have another event to wear this and I will choose the 10! My first choice dress fit great and I was glad to have the chance to try this - it is a killer dress.

I rented this dress for the KY Derby. I loved it except that there is no slit in the skirt which makes it difficult to maneuver steps. I probably could have used the size 8, but it was not available so I squeezed into the 6. A word of warning if you have any hips, due to the lack of slit, you will have to completely unzip the dress to use the bathroom as it will not scoot up over your hips. The fabric has no give. The zipper is long, so you will need assistance with that part. Otherwise I loved the beautiful pearl white sheen to the fabric. I wore a normal bra, but the top is somewhat smaller so would not recommend for those with larger bust. I wore royal blue nine west wedge heels to match the color in the dress trim and also rented RTR accessories. Henri Bendel Waldorf Drop Earring, Whiting & Davis Silver Mesh Glam Clutch, and the Ben-Amun Crystal Cambon Pearl Bracelet. RTR never disappoints!

Overall, I was happy with the dress because it is truly a beautiful garment, even if it was not the most comfortable. The dress fit snug with no stretch at all. I had to wear spanx and had to unzip to use the restroom. It looked gorgeous and I got a ton of compliments.

This dress is beautifully designed and crafted. However the fit leaned towards more on the uncomfortable side. It could possibly be my height ( the hem fell about 3" below my knee), making it so hard to walk on due to the pencil skirt style., there wasn't any slit on the center back to allow for movement. It was also hard for me to move my arms upward as the armholes were tight. I also had to fix the bust area often so it would stay up ( you can see on the picture how the fabric kind of drooped). I'm not sure if the fabric has stretched, definitely would fit better for those with fuller bust. Overall, I love the style and design, but I wouldn't recommend being on it for too long.

The fabric has no give so be aware. The middle section is supposed to fit close as it is tailored. The skirt part of the dress is perfectly knee length.

This fits true to size (i'm 5'8" 130 lbs and wore a size 4), however, it is extremely difficult to put on as the zipper doesn't go down far enough below the waist and there is no slit in the skirt. Add to that the non-stretch fabric and you might need assistance getting this on. I opted to step into it, and with the assistance of someone else managed to get it up over my butt. After getting the dress on, however, it fit perfectly everywhere and is extremely flattering. Got lots of complements. If I owned this dress I would get the zipper extended and maybe add a slit--you have to take very small steps because the fabric has zero stretch. It is a beautiful dress, however!

The previous reviews are true! - There is no slit in the skirt so it's difficult to walk in the dress BUT the color is beautiful. The dress is a timeless piece. No-one was wearing anything like it. Makes you stand out in a crowd!

I rented this for Preakness but the 4 was too big and hung on me. The 2 was too tight in the hips and the chest was too tight. The silk was pretty but has zero give.

I wore this for a city planning meeting and it was a hit. I felt and looked like a million dollars! Sorry no picture because I was at work.
