It runs a bit small, I sized up and it fit perfect. I'm pretty straight and narrow, there is no stretch or give to the dress, the size 4 fit perfectly. The neckline is lovely-just the right amount of cleavage. The fabric is so incredibly beautiful, the photo doesn't do it justice. I wore this to an evening fundraiser. It's absolutely beautiful!

I usually wear a 0 or a 2, and could barely wiggle into the 4. But the dress is gorgeous, could be dressed up or down. It was perfect for an outdoor wedding with a nighttime reception. The silk panels are a vibrant color, and the black "webbing" is really interesting- the photos don't do it justice. The dress has a nude lining. The neckline is a little more plunging than I expected, but I was still able to wear a conventional bra. Overall, it was both sexy and elegant.

Good news first: this dress is absolutely stunning. The fabric is very high quality and the print is so pretty. The top/back are fully lined with nude fabric so you can wear a normal bra. Ok, on to the bad news: This dress is not meant for anyone with hips/junk in the trunk. I sized up as a back up and could barely get it over my hips. The fabric has no give and was pulled to the max over my hips, while the top was loose. I would suggest this for my straight and narrow ladies only.

This dress was soooo pretty. Way prettier in person than in the pictures. It was by far my favorite of the 3 I rented, but unfortunately I couldn't wear it. So disappointing :( the size 2 was way too small, I couldn't even zip it up half way. There's no stretch at all which is usually fine for me, but this dress runs very small. Hopefully next time I need a rental, the size 4 will be available!

The dress is really pretty and the colors would have been great for a daytime gala. The dress runs REALLY small. I usually wear an 8 sometimes a 6 in dresses - periodically a 10. I ordered an 8 and 10 bc it ran small. The 10 was too tight. I could zip it to my middle back (I do have a wide back/rib cage area). Even though I could zip it across my middle - Im not sure I would have been able to sit down. The length was great.

I wore this dress recently to a fundraiser where I knew I would be in a lot of pics b/c on the committee. Our event also had a blue theme, so this dress caught my eye. I followed other reviewers advice and order my regular size plus one size up. VERY glad that I did, b/c this dress runs small! Especially on top. So I ended up wearing the 6, when I am usually a 4 or 2. It is very easy to wear - although the skirt is narrow at the bottom (so no tall steps)! The neckline is low, but in a good way. (you don't need a special bra). The lining is nude, so you are fully covered but gives a cool illusion. I would honestly purchase this dress if I could! Loved it!

After reading other reviews, I sized up two sizes larger than my usual size and the dress fit with not too much room to spare. The fabric is beautiful, but has little to no give. Also, as other reviewers have noted, it is very low cut in the front, but I don't have a large bust, so it was fine for me. It's also a little bit sheer, so you'll need to have the right bra underneath. It was short on my (I'm almost 6 ft) but not too short. I would recommend it to others.

The dress definitely ran small compared to street sizing but right on point for high end clothing. I usually wear a 6 in dresses sometime a 4, but I definitely needed the 8 in this dress. I am larger on top and slim through the hips and the 8 was perfect. Nice dress with pretty details, much better than a LBD, especially for an evening fundraising gala which was hosted at an art gallery. I would definitely recommend for those who have more of a straight body type, it creates some nice curves!

This fit great with the exception of my hips. Size-wise I probably am one size larger in my hips than chest (float between 6 and 8). But that's standardization for you. I could get it on but wasn't able to wear it for fear of ripping/stretching the dress. It is really pretty: simple and sleek, and could go for day-time or evening event.

This dress was beyond beautiful. It had great textures, great cleavage without being in your face; the colors were super flattering too. I was so bummed I couldn't wear it - plus it was my back up dress when my first-choice dress failed too because of fit issues. It looked like it would be great for pear shapes, but there was no room in the waist or butt. I probably would have needed a size 8 and then tailor up the top, which of course you can't do. The size 4 was even a little roomier on top than I'd want. Definitely for the narrow-bodied.

The material was really nice but I didn't wear it because it was too big on chest and too tight everywhere else. I wouldn't recommend it for someone with small chest...

Unfortunately the fit was a little strange. It was a lot tighter around the bottom than the top. Beautiful colors and fabric though. I'm sorry it didn't work out!

This dress is beautiful! The blue color is much more vibrant in person. Unfortunately, I was unable to wear it to the wedding because the bottom was unbelievably tight and uncomfortable. I have a larger bust, narrower hips and usually wear a size 6. When I saw that this dress ran small I ordered up a few sizes and it still didn't work. The top was too big and the bottom too small. Not for a curvy girl, but would definitely rent it if you have a petite frame!

I ordered this dress in my usual size and one size up for a museum formal affair. It had the modern, ethereal look to the beautiful fabric that I was looking for. Unfortunately, the dress runs incredibly small. I was able to squeeze into the larger size that I ordered, but I just knew that I would be uncomfortable all night and did not wear it. I was able to run into the Bendel's RTR location and trade the dress for another. I highly recommend RTR's retail locations for last minute rental fixes! Over all, a pretty dress, but order one and two sizes up if you're renting this dress.

Even the size up option was too tight. If I'd gone 2 sizes up, maybe it might have worked. I wanted to love this dress, the material is gorgeous, but it was too inflexible and had a lot of static cling as well.

Bibhu Mohapatra makes gorgeous dresses for straight and narrow, thin, tall body types. I am normally a size 2-4 in every designer. I have to wear a size 8 in Bibhu, in order to get his dresses to fit over my hips. Unfortunately, even if I size up to an 8, the top part is usually too big/baggy in the chest and shoulders. I have basically rented all of the Bibhu dresses available on RTR and have has the same ill-fitting experience with each one. :(

Considering I have a very small bust and wide hips, I don't know why I didn't heed the reviews that warned against this and went for this dress anyway. The print is gorgeous, there's a nice sheen to the silk, no complaints about the beauty of the dress. The problem is that it was way, way too small around the hips. I normally wear a 4 in most brands (size 4 in J. Crew pants for instance), I cautiously ordered a size 10 and IT WAS TOO TIGHT around my hips. Because of the pulling around my hips I couldn't get the sheer line down the front to lay straight up and down. I ended up sending the dress back. Just don't get this dress if you're pear shaped. If you do get it, order at least 2 sizes up.
