I had people I didn't know come and compliment-especially men, which was a surprise. It's a stunner! I recommend this dress!!!! It's different, but in a good way. Also, hides the hips and everthing below the waist. I wish I could wear it again!

This is a nice, flowing dress. It feels sturdy and well made. The bodice has boning so it stays up pretty well and could be worn without a bra if needed. The detailing on the side is a nice touch. My only criticism is that it looked a bit more "goth" than I imagined, but I think that is a result of how it was styled--not the dress's fault. In hind sight, I would style it with lighter makeup to avoid the goth look.

This is a gorgeous dress. Pictures don't do it much justice. It has so many details that you can only see in person. I got tons of compliments and people would come up to me to look at the dress, because they heard someone else talking about it :) It is so elegant and edgy at the same time. It does run small. Usually size 2 is too big for me, but this one worked just fine. the corset is pretty tight as well. Be carefull with the zippers. The fabric is so delicate, it doesn't take much to break it. I didn't have any problems with it, but I had to coach my huspand on how to zip it up :) Just like girls in the other comments mentioned, I didn't want to send it back it is so beautiful!

This dress was comfortable to wear and the ombre style made it a beautiful gown, it was perfect for the type of pictures that I wanted to take. I highly recommend it!

The dress was unbelievably beautiful. Had an inbuild corset, so you don't need a bra with it. I wore a 2L and high heels, but it still seemed a bit long, so I think that if you are 5' 7" or shorter you can go ahead and just get regular length. Again this dress is simply gorgeous.

After reading all the other reviews I was sure it wasn't going to fit my bust well, but it was totally fine after all, and the dress is incredibly gorgeous. Bidding farewell to it was really, really hard. I absolutely loved wearing it, totally made me feel like a princess, rent it!

I ordered the 6R and the 8R. I usually wear anything from a 4-6. The 6 fit great everywhere except for my back. I simply could not zip it up. The 8 was a tight squeeze as well, but after I got it zipped, it was perfect. Length was almost perfect, a little bit short for me, and I'm 5'6 on a good day :) To be fair- I have a broad back (I'm an athlete and have larger shoulders and a muscular back.) I got compliments all night long- people literally stopped me to tell me how much they loved it. In a sea of sequins and glitter, it really stood out. Loved it!

My event was during Hurricane Sandy and RTR was amazing in keeping me up-to-date on where my dress was. My backup size didn't arrive but it didn't matter as the 2 fit perfectly. The dress ran very long on me (5'1"), however it flowed so nicely that it didn't look too odd. The interior construct of the dress was astonishing - the bust piece zipped up separately so I didn't need a bra and the everything stayed in place nicely. Lots of details on the dress that you don't see in the pics - truly a lovely and unique dress!

I ordered 8L and 10L as a back up. When my package arrived, it only contained the 10L. I called RTR and they said that the dry cleaners had sent back the 8L and it had been ruined. I was really disappointed because I think the 8L would have fit much better in the top. I was constantly pulling up the dress throughout the night, but it still looked great. RTR did send me another style of dress for free to make up for the lack of the 8L, which was very nice. However, I had my heart set on this one, so I went ahead with the 10L. The dress seems to run true to size. I am almost 6' tall and the Long was very long, but gorgeous. It is very flowy and has a bit of crinolin to give it a tad bit of volume in the skirt. The back of the dress is gorgeous too. I highly recommend this dress. It is one of a kind.

This is my favorite RTR dress I have ever worn! There is ribbing in the top of the dress, which was very slimming. The 4 was a little snug- the top seam of the dress tended to roll over a little and I had to adjust several times throughout the evening, but wasn't super noticeable. The cut of the fabric of the bottom of the dress makes is flow when you walk or dance. I think I got more compliments in this dress than my wedding dress. I wore 4" heels and the length was just about perfect.

The dress is magnificent! The flow of it is very flattering! If you are renting, you may want to go up a size, as the corset bodice is very slender and fits very tightly. It is quite long, so unless you are planning on wearing VERY high heels, a regular will probably be long enough.

I do not even have the words to express how beautiful this dress is. It made my waist look so small and the corset made my boobs look fantastic. I love this dress... RENT IT!

I ordered the dress in a 2L and a 4L, but in retrospect, I probably should have ordered them both in the regular length. The hem on the outer layer of the dress is slightly uneven (which gives it beautiful flow but makes it longer in areas), and I had to wear 4.5 inch heels to make sure I didn't trip on it. The dress is BEAUTIFULLY made. There is an inner corset that gave the top of the gown shape and kept it up during the night. The dress is also very comfortable. The skirt is somewhat pleated and it moves beautifully when you are walking and dancing, and I received so many compliments on it! The top of the dress had a tendency to turn out, showing the lining along the bust, but it was not particularly noticeable, though I was adjusting it all night. Both the 2 and the 4 fit, but I thought the 2 was slightly more flattering on my figure, so I went with that. Overall, it is a beautiful gown and I would highly recommend it, just definitely go with the regular length unless you are quite tall or planning on wearing very high heels! Both dresses came in perfect shape, and as usual, the RTR staff was incredibly helpful!

I felt like a princess wearing this dress. Received compliments all night long! It does look great in the picture, but live it looks even better. The only thing is that this dress was a little loose on my bust, so if you are "pear" body type I recommend getting one size down.

The Dress fit well, except for the bust, I am a 34 C and it was VERY tight, but was able to squeeze into it, (it helped me to sit up straight the whole night, but not uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to wear it!). I really loved the dress, the movement of the gown was amazing, and I received so many complements on it! I hope that I have another event soon so that I can rent it again!

Such a cool mix of edgy and class in a gown! Felt like a queen.

The dress is absolutely gorgeous in person. The material is gorgeous and the design is incredible... I'm really thrilled with it and will rent from this designer again. The fit is true to size and would look phenomenal on an hourglass or athletic figure. The corset inside ensures that the dress doesn't weigh you down and prevents against "wardrobe malfunctions"! To sum it up - I felt very tailored and expensive in the dress. However, some of the small stitches that kept the outer material intact had come out before I received the dress. It wasn't super noticeable, but when you pay $400 to rent a dress, you'll noticed the imperfections! Some of the flowy outer material wasn't pinned properly, like it originally was by the designer, and the clip that I placed in the back of the dress to correct this fell out at the beginning of the night.

I would have preferred a 6L, however it was not available. I typically wear a size 4 in dresses but needed the 6 in this gown. It is snug through the bust as it has a corset top.

It's a fun dress to wear with a lot of fabric that moves nicely. Only draw back is that all that fabric can obscure your waist.

I liked this dress but I thought that it would be better based on the pictures. It fit great through the body and top on the corset under layer but I thought that the fabric on top and highness of the waist ended up adding bulk and making me look larger. It's definitely a gorgeous dress and is made beautifully with incredible fabric. If you are nervous about adding extra to your body it might not be the best choice.

This gown is so gorgeous I don't even know where to start. The appliqué and fabric are so amazing and the way this dress moves is a dream. Literally, people stopped in their tracks to give me complements. I'm usually a little tentative to wear long gowns to standard (non-black tie) weddings fearing they are sometimes a bit too much. However, this dress is so edgy, almost a little gothic in style that it would work for both types of events. The photo here the other pictures people have posted cannot begin to do this dress justice. I can truly say at the end of the night I did not want to take it off and I had separation anxiety putting it in the envelope to send back! I rent a lot from RTR and this is by far the most beautiful dress I have ever rented or worn in my life. Simply stunning!!! It's for sure a pricy rental, but if you want a dress that will stand out in any crowd this is it. So why 4 stars then? Well, the only issue I had was that the outside zipper broke on me at the beginning of the evening. I knew there was something wrong with it when I was getting ready because I had a hard time zipping it even though the dress fit fine. Thank goodness my boyfriend is handy and fixed it with two safety pins that he hid quite nicely in the fabric. It would have been a shame to ruin the look of such a great dress with some ugly safety pins. Overall, though the craftsmanship of the dress is total luxury, I think this was probably and isolated occurrence. Ok, I've said enough. Rent this dress!

I'm a 34B, 5'7" and I guess I'm not a 4R. I wish I'd gotten the 6L instead! It's a beautiful dress, but I felt squished in the chest and the dress wasn't fully floor length. Seriously gorgeous dress and worth every penny. Just make sure your back up size is larger.

This gown was a back up style sent to me when my original back up became unavailable. I was very happy with the dress. It flowed so beautifully when I moved...really just stunning. There were a couple of small issue that keep me from giving this dress 5 stars. The underlining of the dress has tulle that had be ripped, so it sagged down, well below the hem line. I ended up having to safety pin that part up, but it was no big deal. Also the dress has a built in corset and bra, which is nice, but it tended to roll up at the top of the bust, revealing the nude lining underneath. I had to adjust that a lot during the night. Mostly, I'd say, if you are considering this dress, give it a go. Its very very beautiful. In case anybody is curious, I wore 5 inch heels and the dress was the perfect floor skimming length.

Fit: I am a 34C rented a 4 and 6 barely got into the 6. Has an internal corset. the long was LONG but great for 5-7 if you are wearing 4-5 heels........ otherwise go R. Dress: Pretty, delicate-- some of the fine, fine thread that was holding in the chiffon came loose randomly, had to rig it back together on the fly with a needle and thread. The top of the dress is VERY delicate. Reason it gets 4 instead of 5? The dress while VERY VERY pretty, but to me isnt STUNNING, like the dress online in the pics. I felt like a princess- but i wanted to feel like a runway queen. The production version was very different. the hemline in particular. not as organic as the runway version and therefore felt more padgent like. I wore it regardless and it looked great but i cant help but dream about it in its orginal form....I just feel that RTR need to reshoot the dress that is headed out to us, to better represent the product. and I LOVE RTR customer service, as they really took care of me when it came to how I felt and i truly appreciate it!

I loved this dress the minute i saw it online. I knew i had to rent it for my senior prom. But when it arrived you could tell that it had been worn multiple times before. Some of the tulle was even ripped! But that didn't bother me as much because you cant see it. Also, I ordered three different sizes in this dress based on the reviews and i tend to be a variety of different sizes. The size ten and six arrived but I was informed that the eight was wrecked. Which was a huge bummer because the ten was too big and the six was slightly small. I ended up wearing the six. But i had to squeeze into it. I had to order the long sizes because i am 5'11. The ten seemed to be pretty long but the size was not long enough.The waist fit perfectly but it was a tight fit in the chest. Also, the lining in the chest kept coming up! Overall I'm pleased with this rental. I just wish I could have had the size eight!

This dress is amazing, the detail that went into making it is incredible. The dress has a built in corset, no need for a bra. It wasn't nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. I wore it for a photoshoot and it photographed the best of the 5 dress I wore. The hem isn't as "naturally worn" as it appears, it is a finished hem for sure. I would definitely rent again if an occasion came up. The cost to rent is well worth it for the quality of the dress.

Other reviewers said pretty much what I wanted to say. The only thing I don't agree is that 4L was better than 4R for me. A lot of reviewer said Long is too long, and that was true for me as well but Regular was a bit too short and I'd rather have it long than short. I'm 5'7" and wore 4" heel.

I rented this dress for a very exclusive New Year's party in Beverly Hills. This dress has yards of fabric and intricate detail. It is amazing and beautiful. Unfortunately, I was unable to close the top of the dress. I could not get my chest into it. I tend to have difficulty with strapless dresses fitting in the bust, but this dress is so fabulous I was hoping. The size 2 fit everywhere except the very top which had a four-inch gap. The size 4 had about a two-inch gap. Usually I can squeeze into it, and just pour over the top a little. But this dress appears to be cut a little smaller in the bust. There are no words to express my disappointment in not being able to wear this magical gown. If you are a DD or larger, you might be out of luck on this one.

I really wish I had been able to wear this dress. It was absolutely beautiful and very unique! However, it runs extremely small in the bust area. Very tight and not much coverage. I would have felt pretty self conscious in the 2R and, unfortunately, it was not available in a different size.

Currently I wear a size 4...so I rented the 4 and wanted the 6 as well but it wasnt available. Size up!

It def runs small and def very formal. I tried it on and couldn't wear it because both, it didn't fit and I thought it was way too fancy for what I wanted. Didn't look as fancy on the image... but maybe that was just my ill perceived pov or the fact that I really really wanted to try it because it just seemed, and was, a gorgeous dress. I also got it as a replacement for another dress so I didn't pay sticker to consider it. Either way... if you want a fancy, beautiful dress... this is a good option. The materials and fabric were amaaazzzz.

I rented this dress for my son's wedding. This is the first time I can honestly say that I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong the dress fit me very well and it is a beautiful dress. But, there are several issues that I really feel it would be helpful to mention. The first problem was that the dress takes a lot of time to get into! The zippers are horrible and it's a little tricky to put on, especially if you're alone and trying to get ready. The overall fit was great for me, but for some reason the corset and bodice area, "rides" up and kind of bunches up under the bust. This was for my son's wedding, so, I wanted it to be perfect, but it wasn't. My biggest problem is that for a 5,000.00 designer gown, and being primarily "silk", I feel it should've been a little more exquisite looking. I had several conversations with RTR before I ended up renting it, and I really don't feel it deserves the 400.00 rental price. (though, I didn't pay that much since I was lucky enough to have some credits accumulated). I feel this dress should've been a stand out, and though it was pretty and fit me well, it didn't made me feel "special" like a "mother of the groom" should feel in a gown shown under this "high end" category. It was almost ordinary, and it really wasn't the ombre grey tone shown on the site. It's more of a beigey grey tone as the color lightens. The wedding "color" was grey, so, I wanted to "blend" in, but not be dressed in black. It's also more "gauze"-like then silky, though it does flow nicely when you walk. Don't get me wrong, I love RTR, and will certainly be renting again, but it's just too bad that this worked out to be a disappointment for such a special occasion in my life, especially after I spent a good deal of time communicating with your reps through live chats and emails. Sorry, RTR, this one isn't one of your best. Pictures to follow soon....

This dress is a showstopper. I rented two sizes: 8L and 10L. Unfortunately, the corseted top is not made for a 36C. I don't think anyone larger than a B cup could wear this dress. What a shame...it is really beautiful.

The 8R runs very small. I could not zip it up and I have an athletic body and a fairly small rib cage. Get the 10R unless you are teeny tiny and weigh a lot less than I weigh.

The top fit tight around the bust so I couldn't wear it luckily I had another dress so it worked out.
