I normally would wear a 4L, but all that was available was a 4R or 8L. The 4 was a little snug, but doable. However, at 5' 5.5" (plus heels) I would definitely recommend the long. Even though the 8 was a little roomy, the dress has such a great structure underneath that you wouldn't have noticed it was big (esp around the bust). The sweetheart neckline is very flattering. I accessorized with a vintage brooch at the hip gather. Bra not necessary. I recommend no necklace and big earrings to show off the neck.

I wore this to a Mardi Gras ball in Washington DC. RTR sent me the 6L and the 8L. I chose the 8L because the 6L was a little too short with heels (I'm 5'8"). The only problem I found was that, on the 8L, the slip underneath hung down longer than the pretty outer layer (I don't know fabric names). I don't think anyone noticed, though. I got many compliments, and I was definitely the only person in the room of about 1,000 people wearing this dress.

I LOVED this dress. i wore it to a wedding in august and it was a big hit. it fit great, i wore about 5 inch heels that didnt make the dress too short. The color was my favorite part. I wore it with a chunky gold necklace.

I absolutely loved this dress! I am 5'8" and the length was perfect to wear about 1 inch heels. It fit perfectly and was very easy to walk in and it was a beautiful and unique color for a black tie event. Paired with gold accessories it looks great!

I knew I would have to size up in this dress as Badgley Mischka runs a bit small and the waist was cinched. Length wise, it was perfect for my 5'6 frame with heels. Color, shape, fit was perfect.

I wore this for my wedding rehearsal & dinner. Overall, the dress was very comfortable. The boning on the sides dug in a little (near the ribcage), but it wasn't unbearable. I got tons of compliments from family & friends. It matched perfectly with my wedding colors - I couldn't have asked for a better dress for such an important evening

I wore this to my senior prom. i was a bit nervous because im on the bustier side...but this dress looked amazing on me. it was a tad tight on the top but it wasnt too bad. i felt like a goddess that night and i really loved the dress. it was a bit short and you could almost see my feet and i wasnt even wearing heels. so taller women should go with the long size. it was an amazing night and with this dress it made it even better! i will definitely be using RTR in the future :)

Beautiful dress! It's elegant and perfect for any formal affair. The material is doubly layered, so it got a little hot for the humidity of a New Orleans night. It's also a bit tight on the bottom; I usually wear a 6 and for this dress I went up to an 8. If you decide to rent this dress, definitely opt for some fancy earring instead of a necklace. I was going to wear a statement piece around my neck and it was just way too much. The neckline is probably the prettiest part of the dress! Overall, this was a great rental, I would definitely recommend it for any black tie event.

I thought the dress would be more free and easy to move in. It is really a column dress with a light flowy fabric over it. So it was fitted in the rear area - which I have a booty. A little disappointed about that at first but It ended up working out. The green color is INSANELY GORGEOUS!! I wore with silver accessories -

This dress was elegant and beautiful. I felt stunning in it! It was true to size. I am 5'6" and the dress fell perfectly to my ankles. I wore it with the black multicolored handbag on RTR. Perfect.

zipper is a little tough in one spot, but other than that great! Very structured bodice.

I got this dress to wear for the CFDA Awards. It was so pretty I was so excited. It being my first RTR experience, I was a little nervous that the dress wouldn't fit. When I tried it on, it was the perfect fit and length. I got so many compliments, even at that kind of event! I wish I could keep it!

I wore this dress to a fall wedding and received ton of compliments. The color was absolutely beautiful! Though it did run a bit small and the zipper was a little difficult to zip up and down. I wish i would have worn a bigger size.

I was told by the bride's mom that my dress was amazing. The bust size runs a bit small, so I would recommend renting your true size and one size up. Very flattering around the waist, and truly comfortable all night long. I consider myself short, and the regular length was absolutely perfect. Don't over accessorize - the dress pops on its own!

Beautiful dress that wasn't too long for even the shorter ladies with style. It was a bit plain in how it draped but nothing a belt with some shine couldn't cure. Very flattering but not so comfy because it was pretty tight - good to keep it from falling, but tough to sit in all night. All in all a great dress.

I was not able to wear this dress because it was just too short on me. I should have called one of the stylists beforehand. They do hem many dresses to prevent damage... so make sure to call. I am 5'7 and it did not even hit the ground even though I ordered a long.. This style was shortened a bit because the fabric is delicate. Besides the length, the fit was good, and the construction of the dress feels expensive with the boning but I was not able to wear it.

Love this dress. Wore to a charity event and received many compliments! The color is lovely. I ordered the 4 and 6 and ended up wearing the 4 - though with no bra, which was fine. The only minor complaint I had was it was a little hard to walk in. There is no slit so not much leg room. I kept on telling my husband to slow down. Love RTR. I have another dress coming in November, my 5th rental.

I loved wearing this dress to the black tie wedding we went to last month- I received so many compliments! If you are tall order a size up- I went with the larger size they sent me bc I needed the length with heels!

I got so many compliments on this dress. I forget what size I ended up wearing, but I am small chested but have hips (34B & 31" hips). It was a little long, like in the picture but it was perfect for an evening wedding.

This dress looks even more amazing on. But it does run small. It was just fitted enough and I a size 12. I just made it in the dress. BUT ONCE I DID it was soooo worth it. The color is a yummy! You will be hard to miss in this dress.

I ordered it in long, but wore flats with it, didn't try it with heels, but I think it would have worked. It was beautiful tho! It was almost a no-go with the bust tho! I am a 36D cup, and it was snug!

The dress was perfect. It camouflages any unsightly belly jelly. Slims you up. It was elegant and had a nice flow to it as you move. Cons: the boning while helpful to keep structure was a little uncomfortable but nothing terrible.

I loved this dress, just as beautiful in person but the bust runs really small. The dress fit perfectly until I tried to zip it over my boobs. Had to return. So sad.

Even though I ordered it in a 12L the dress was still too short for me, but I was able to get away with it. I am 5'10".

they did not have it in for a size zero on the date i needed it so i got the size two as a backup dress for my other cant comment on fit for it was not the right size for me. the color was amazing will try and order again in the future

Wore this to a sorority function, and it was the best dress at the party. I got so many compliments. The fit was perfect, and the drawstring waist helped highlight the smallest part of my waist. If you are short like me, plan to wear very high heels.

Loved the dress, perfect fit. I would have gone up to a Long though. The dress was a bit short for a the heels I wanted to wear. Overall, loved and made my body look sleek.

This dress was a beautiful bright green color and very easy to wear. I wore it to a black tie wedding and loved how it was a simple silhouette but stood out by not being black. The only drawbacks are that it ran small, I am usually a 4 or a 6 and the 8 barely zipped over my chest (32C). This wasn't all bad, since I didn't have to wory about it falling down at all. I also noticed that, when the camera flashed, the gown was a bit sheer over the legs and that you can see the subtle sweat stains below the arms. You couldn't see them in "real light" but I can't share the photos of me from the side.

Didn't end up wearing, but very pretty. Ordered in 0 and 2, and the 0 fit perfectly. my only complaint is there was way too much room around the hips--might be bestfor pear shapes

the color is stunning and i feel would look good on any skin tone. i'm very fair and was obsessed with the color. however, for taller ladies like myself, it runs short. the 2R fit me in size, but the 6R was actually enough. ended up wearing the 2R with flats.

The dress was really pretty, but still too short even though I ordered the long.

The color of the dress is lovely, however the proportions are not good for shorter hourglasses like myself - the drappy bodice, and the side twist made it seem like I was hiding a belly.

Sadly I didn't get to wear this gown because the Stylist I IM'd told me to order a 4 after I gave her my measurements. I also ordered a 6 but the hips were tight even after SPANX. I probably wouldn't wear this to a wedding because when I was trying it on my BF said I looked like a bridesmaid :( Stunning gown nonetheless. I would recommend but definitely order your true size and one up.

I usually wear an 8 but ordered this dress in both the 8L and 10L to be safe. It's a gorgeous color and seemed like it would be very flattering on, but I could not even get the 10 to zip. I would recommend ordering a size up and two sizes up as a backup if you have any sort of hips. RTR was great in helping me deal with my crisis when neither dress fit though. While the dress gets 1 star, my experience was much much better.

The dress was great for my pear shaped body. It made my waste look smaller and excentuated my natural curves. The color looks great for olive and darker skin tones but could possibly wash out someone with pale features.
