What a fabulously well made, chic black dress. Perfect for a daytime holiday event. The buttons and fabric edges were special details that added class. Need a strapless or halter bra. Lined with luxe fabric. I will rent this again!

Can't say enough about the fit of this dress. It fits like a glove and didn't make my little leftover postpartum belly stick out like other form fitting dresses have. It's elegant and chic, maybe a little too much for every day work, but perfect for a conference or a presentation. Definitely considering buying it!!!

My work attire has to be very conservative, but the sleeves on this dress are perfect for adding a fun detail. The fabric is quality and the dress is flattering. I am typically a 4 or 6 and went with the 6 as the 4 was not available. The dress was a smidge large, but fit well. No complaints. 5 stars.

LOVE this dress! I am body conscious so I don't like to show much skin which makes it difficult to find a dress that doesn't look matronly. The material on this dress is thick enough so you feel tucked in. It hugged in the right places but was stretchy and comfortable so you felt sexy but classy. I have broad shoulders and run into things running too tight at the shoulders when they fit me at the waist. This fit perfectly with plenty of room up top and a great fit at the waist. I would buy it if I could!

Sophisticated and fitting

I rented for work - great length and I love the fun style of the sleeves. The sleeves didn't go down all the way to my wrists but that's okay. Also you really need to wear a strapless bra with it. Will definitely rent again.

Even though I have been crazy about all of my rentals from Rent the runway, I have never wanted to buy a dress as much as I would want to buy this one. It's fantastic! Well made, conservative but a little sexy. It's amazing and I'd highly recommend! The Fit was perfect for me. I'm petite but also have zero hips. This dress gave me shape!

Black dress for fancy family dinner

Wore this to a funeral but I bought it to wear to work events moving forward. Dress looks expensive. Slightly heavier material with a little ruching around the stomach make it super flattering. Hook and eye does catch your hair and hurt when I took my dress off and 30 strands came with it.

This was actually a backup for a dress I ordered that wasn't available but I totally fell in love with it and will be renting it again. It's very professional and flattering. The only thing I didn't like is the slit in the back is too high but I find that's the case with all the dresses from this designer.

I wore this for work and a memorial service. It was a very flattering fit and has nice details. I liked the sheer chiffon sleeves with buttons going down the sides of the arms. The top half was blousy and the bottom was fitted and cut to give a nice shape without being too body conscious. It was very appropriate for a memorial device. Stylish but not showy. I would definitely rent it again and highly recommend this dress!

I would buy this dress. It was so easy and comfortable to wear, the material is thick and lovely. The sleeves were just perfect, plenty of room in the chest. Since I had the time I taped my girls in place to avoid having any straps showing at the sheer shoulders. I wore the 10, the 12 was too big and thus wouldn't have been fitted in the hip portion.

Wore it for work. It's a bit sexy because it's form fitting on the bottom (see side photo) so maybe not suitable for all jobs, but definitely a great dress, fabric, and fit and would highly recommend for any occasion (update: I rented a size up and it was fine for work). Regular bra straps will show so I used a racerback clip and it worked perfectly. I will definitely rent this again.

I would buy this dress in heartbeat - it was gorgeous and timeless. Easy to dress up or down, I wore this to a conference and received a number of compliments. The only issue I had was the button at the neck came off before I even put it on.

This dress is perfect for hourglass figures! It made me look better than i really do - i didnt wear shape wear, and it smooths you out. Feminine and classy - I loved it.

Elegant. Perfect for a work function. Slimming. Showing some signs of being over-worn. My dress was missing one button on sleeve (not that noticeable) and some minor fraying at neck. Material was thick enough to go without a bra. Straps will show on shoulders.

So cute, I really loved the dress. Advice: if you want a touch of sexy or date night out dress, go with your normal size. I was wearing for a funeral and really wished I had also ordered a size 6. Made it work but the butt and hip area was snug. Received so many compliments

Rented this for a Funeral service and it was exactly what I was looking for . The only part on this dress that is sheer is the sleeves which has cute buttons that run down the entire sleeve which I loved . I rented the 0 because the 2 wasn't available . It fit perfectly but I may have been more comfortable in the 2 ( usual size in BM dresses ) . Dress is modest and the length was great on this (I am 5'3 and the dress hit just above my knees ) . Would definitely rent again .

This is one I'd like to own! The dress is very well constructed, lined, and has a side-zipper. It is tasteful and modest, but in no way matronly. The fitted cut is very flattering through the high waist and hips. The opaque sleeves are feminine and elegant, and give the neckline a halter feel. Plan on wearing this with a strapless bra. I do think it ran a bit big as I am a size 6, but the backup in size 4 is what fit perfectly.
