I wore the 6 and it fit like a 4. Had to tug it down some, but still looked amazing and got SO many compliments! Perfect for a winter Christmas part!

Perfect dress for an early fall wedding. It is very comfortable and just so eye-catching. I felt very confident wearing it.

Based on reviews, I thought this might be stretchy enough to size down - not for me. I went with my size 4 and did not bother to try on the size 2. I also thought I might be able to get away without wearing a bra or just hide a regular bra. Not the case for me. I'm a 34D and going braless did not give me the lift I needed or shape I was going for, so I scrambled to find a backless bra that would work. I ended up finding one at Von Maur (Go Bare Ultimate Boost Backless Strapless Bra) that had sticky wings and surprisingly did the job. I've ALWAY avoided backless dresses but am so glad I gave this a chance. Fit of this dress was flattering (in addition to the backless bra, I wore a spanx-like high waisted hosiery). I received compliments throughout the night (especially about the back) and felt pretty dang good. This was my first experience with Rent the Runway and I'd do it again and maybe even rent this dress again. Sorry for the poorly taken photos, that is all I have but I read about a million reviews prior to pulling the trigger so I know how important it is to review! :)

I rented this for NYE. It was a smash hit. Fit was tight but workable! I'd size up. I did myself.

Loved the open back! The lining kept the dress comfortable and it was a fun option for a 1920s themed wedding venue.

This dress is stunning. I wore it to a St. Patrick's day gala. The dress fits like a glove. I was able to dance all night with lots of movement. I received so many compliments. The open back makes the dress extra fancy. I would rent this dress again.

Dress is fabulous! Back is super sexy while, overall, the dress is modest. Its a gorgeous hunter green. Very little stretch and your hair will get caught in the sequins but its worth it. Im currently 5'10" and 167lbs. 3 months pregnant with my third so im already showing but there is enough room. I wore size 12. Usually i wear a 10 and the 10 fit but i fwlt like i couldnt move. 12 was very comfortable. I wore a NuBra which isnt anything special bit it kept the girls in one spot.

This dress was perfect! The fit, the color...I wore it to a Mardi Gras ball and received so many compliments. I went without a bra, someone bustier than me may need a backless bra.

I was worried about the length on me (5'9"), the bra situation (low back and DDD cup size), and the bodycon style of the dress with my mommy pouch tummy. The length was fine, no issues, I wore a nubra and had no troubles with it staying in place, and the material is thick enough that it doesn't cling to all the wrong places. It was easy to move and dance in and I didnt have any problems with it riding up. My husband loved the dress and that he could feel my back. I got several compliments and I also caught several admiring stares (if you know what I mean!). This dress gave me a big confidence boost, ty RTR!

This was the perfect dress for a semi formal gala I attended. I got so many compliments! The material was thick and great quality, I wore it braless and you couldn't tell. Just great experience overall!!

This dress is absolutely fabulous! The moment I put it on, I felt amazing. It looked so great and was comfortable and I got so many compliments on it. I almost cried when I had to ship it back because I don’t think I’ve loved another article of clothing more. I typically wear a 16-20 for my regular clothes so I rented the 18W and 20W just in case. I’m glad I did because I ended up wearing the 20W. I’m so happy my friend recommended this site for the dress. Will rent again!

The back did lay lower than I expected and since the wedding was in a rural area, I didn’t have a chance to buy a different bra. I ended up artfully tucking the back into my bra strap and it looked great.

Rented for an office Christmas party and felt glamorous! It has subtly sparkle, the green is a great winter color and the scoop in the back is really sassy. It fit really well but I was glad to have tights bc it was a bit tight and with my bigger hips and butt it would ride up a bit. Fun rental!

This dress is stunning! I wore it to a formal work awards gala, and felt like a million bucks. We danced the night away, and I was very comfortable. I thought I would be self-conscious about the low-cut back, but I just felt sexy! I have never worn sequins before and I will definitely try it again.

The dress length was perfect, above the knee, and did not get to short when you sit/raise your hands. The material under the sequins is comfy and soft. This dress totally emphasizes your waist! The dress is stretchy and moved with your figure. The dress stayed perfectly on my shoulders and I never had to adjust them.

I liked the drop back and was able to wear without a bra. I wore this for an awards banquet and got a few compliments, but it's pretty standard looking from the front.

I wore this to an indoor, summer wedding. It was dress coded for black and green. This felt great on and got really nicely. Thank goodness the lining was soft. However, beware these sequins! They're pretty sharp - I definitely caught under my fingernails and hurt for DAYS. I also scraped my fiancé a couple times. :( Looks great in photos, but wouldn't rent again.

This dress is super comfortable and true to size. It stretches, though, so you don't get the benefit of the dress "holding" you in. I used a backless bra strap added to a regular bra, and that was probably the most uncomfortable thing I had on. I got tons of compliments on the dress and would definitely rent again! I usually wear a size 6-8 and am pretty thick in the middle.

Flattering fit and the back is such a nice surprise. I was able to go bra less because the material is thick and lovely. Easy to get in and out of but definitely step into it. I didn't even mess with the hidden side zipper. Lots of compliments.

Don't be afraid of the sequins, ladies. This Badgley Mischka couture show stopper will earn you an entrance that even Lizzo would sing about! Ladies, I learned, nearly the hardest lesson: don't put off choosing your rental for the big holidays. I thought I was ahead of schedule, choosing a dress for NYE, and thank goodness this dress was available, because my first 15 choices were all SOLD OUT a month in advance! Give the big holidays a solid 90 days to 2-months lead time, to avoid being disappointed, and/or left with very few choices. I was slightly nervous about the fit, as I had gained some weight around the holidays, and the size 2 was the only size available. It has a forgiving give: I did wear my spanx, to be on the safe side. The arms didn't pull, and I had full range of motion in this dress. Just a heads up that the dress will ride up a few inches if you move around a lot, which after some dancing, I did notice the slight ride in the hemline. It certainly wasn't enough to cause a wardrobe malfunction. Another dress note: the sequins never caught on anything, which is always a concern I have when it comes to wearing sequin dresses, for sure. I've rented another Badgley from RTR, a shimmering silver sequin dress, and again, with that dress, I didn't have any issue with the sequins, either. My hunch is, the sequins only become an issue with cheaply made dresses: another reason to always rent from RTR :-) The emerald green color and sequin sparkle, combined with the backless design, earned me many, many compliments that night. After a craptastic 2019 I'd had, I was ready to turn heads, make an entrance, and welcome in 2020 with open arms. I accomplished ALL that, I'm happy to share.

This was my backup dress and I didn't end up wearing it, but it was a very tough decision. The dress was beautiful and felt great. I only chose the other dress due to shoes matching better. If I have another event, I'll probably order this one.

I wore this on a cool Christmas winter wedding that requested guests wear "festive attire." The back draping detail makes this dress elegant. If it were just a full back, I would say it would be more for Vegas during Christmas. It's very comfy and true to size. I wore boob tape and shapewear but you don't have to wear a bra. Very comfy. But watch out- there was a small patch on the back where the sequins were coming off which I will report to RTR and hopefully they can fix.

Loved wearing this dress for a company holiday party! The material wasn't itchy at all and it was comfortable enough to dance all night in. After reading the reviews I went up a size from my usual and it fit perfectly!

This dress was fantastic! I received tons of compliments on it and I felt amazing. It had a snug fit without feeling like it was a tight fit. The dress has some weight to it and I was nervous I was going to be warm. The room my party was in was very cold so I was comfortable but beware that it could be uncomfortable in a warmer room. I wore a sticky bra with this and it worked perfectly.

The fit was perfect. I wish I had a picture of the back ... breath-taking. I got so many compliments. I did have to use gaffer tape to secure the girls, but it was well worth it!

Gorgeous dress that was perfect for a semi-formal holiday party. I find that some Mischa Badgley dresses run a large (I am a pretty true size 4 occasionally 6 as some upscale designers run small) but this one felt more true to size. It was fitted but still left room to move and was comfortable. I didn't realize it had an open back but the material is very thick and no bra is needed. Also I am 5'8 and it was a good length, came just above the knee. Would rent again!
