Great dress! 'Wore a stick-on bra which worked fabulous. Both the 4 and 2 fit but the 2 was a bit tighter so I wore that. Wish I had gotten a long (I'm just shy of 5'9") but wore 2" heels so it was fine... I danced a lot so you really couldn't tell it was a wee bit short! I wore it to a black tie optional wedding. Would wear again! I received a bunch of compliments too!

At 5'9" I had to wear the long length. I needed help from my husband to get the back fastened, but once it was zipped and buttoned, it stayed put the entire night. Comfortable gown and easy to dance the night away. I paired it with red shoes and the oscar de la renta two tone beaded earrings.

10L was not available available so I went with the 8L. It was a little snugged but I was able to pull it off! I love rent the runway

I loved wearing this dress and got so many compliments! Also was able to wear some pretty tall heals, even for someone my height and it was still plenty long enough. That never happens! My only complaint is I wish there was a clasp at the bottom on the back so the over layer could be closed at the top and bottom if you wanted. It's open so the back can open up depending on how you move. But it's a minor detail and I'd totally wear this dress again!

Great for 29 weeks pregnant. Lots of stretch. I would usually wear a 6 but wore 14 for pregnancy.

I just had a baby 12 weeks ago and somehow this dress didn't highlight my belly. I think because of the top detail it drew the eye up instead of down. Because the dress is tight! It's not forgiving. But it was very comfortable and stretchy and I felt great.

This was a backup dress for another style that didn’t fit and I was so happy with it. Sticky bra worked perfect for the mesh panels it was easy to move and dance in and I felt elegant with a touch of cool. I went for the long length and it was perfect with 3” heels

The dress was beautiful and the length was perfect with kitten heals. The back is low but it was fine with a strapless bra.

On the hanger I was skeptical but once I put it on I was surprised! Fit was awesome. The sheer sides offered a little sexiness. All around an amazing dress. I wore a strapless bra. Note- the dress is short. I am 5'3" and the length was perfect with 3" heels.

The picture doesn't really do it justice. A classic take on a formal gown. Loved the additional detail of the "lace" overlay. The sheer panel is very subtle but a nice touch. Was able to wear a normal bra no problem. I felt very elegant!

This dress was perfect for the Black & White Gala I attended. I wore the size 2 and didn't have any issues getting it on or off. It fit true to size, even on top where I'm smaller. I wore 3-4 inch heels and the dress was just about an inch or so off the floor. The overlay on top and the sheer cutouts on the side are so gorgeous and made me feel so elegant! The fabric is very comfortable, not too heavy, and doesn't wrinkle easily. Overall I would definitely recommend and rent again!

I absolutely loved this dress! So elegant and the detail in the overlay of the dress for the top half is exquisite! It was pretty true to size. I would have liked it to be a little more fitting but it was comfortable and still looked great! I wore 4 inch heels and the dress hit just above the ground so if you are 5'5 or shorter, you def need high heels! Overall, a stunning dress and I highly recommend for a black tie/formal event!

Customer service when my first dress had not been returned in time.. the RTR team stayed in constant contact with me.. reviewed my "hearts" and helped me select another dress and overnighted to me! Dress was a great fit flowed well and the long was a perfect length for me at 6'2".. Thank you RTR I will be back!

This dress was amazing! So comfortable. I was S-W-E-A-T-I-N-G, but it was also super hot and humid at this outdoor wedding reception. I normally order petite sizes, but there were none available, so I ordered the 2R and 4R. My idea was the the 4 would definitely fit and that the 2 would be snug but probably be the correct length for me. (I'm 5'3" and 125lbs). The 2 fit perfectly and there was about an inch of it still pooling on the ground in my 4 inch heels. So I did have to lift it often to go up steps and when I was walking in grass or uneven ground areas. I wanted to wear shape wear under it, but my favorite shape wear is nude colored and pulls up to my rib cage and you could see the shapewear through the sheer panels on the side of the dress. Without the shape wear though I still felt confident in the dress. I'm an A cup and since breastfeeding two kids these girls point due South these days, so I got some sticky "rabbit ear" style cups and gave the girls a lift. I appreciated the sheer overlay on the top because it was more forgiving in that area. You couldn't see my sticky cups and there were no weird lines to see that you might have seen if the overlay had not been a part of the dress. I got a ton of compliments all night and I felt very fancy, which is not something I get to do very often. Loved it, 100%.

Fit like a glove. I loved the coverlet over the top! There is a see-through mesh down the back that comes to the side that prevents you from wearing full spanx, but the dress has nice stretch to it. Length was perfect with 3 inch heels.

So the 6 fit "eh" the 8Lwas perfect. Clung in just the right places. I'm 5'10, wore heels & yes my my tall babes, IT WAS STILL LONG ENOUGH 😊 I powerlift so I'm cuuurrrrvy. And the dress showed those curves beautifully. I danced comfortably, sat down comfortably. Only downside on the spare gowns was the back drapping was ripped where it should have been sewn together. Good thing was i didn't need those sizes. Simple. Classic. Beautiful. Paired with a beautiful green drop earring and simple open toe shoes. I feel like i was close to 6'1 or so with the shoes.

This dress was perfect for a formal wedding! The detailing added some fun to an otherwise simple black dress.

The dress is gorgeous and very flattering. The top is very forgiving and you don’t need a bra. I have an athletic build and hold my weight in my hips/thighs/lower tummy, so I needed shape wear to hold me in. I don’t know that I would say size up because if I had, the top would have been too big. Im a 36B with broad shoulders. I’m 5’7 and really wish I had gotten the longer length. I ended up buying 2.25 inch heels to wear and still thought the dress was a little short. Dress is a great cut and overall very flattering. I would rent it again, just in the longer length!

I am about 5'10" and the long perfectly skimmed the floor in flats -- I was glad to not wear heels all night.

Perfect fit! Rented the 2 with a 4 as a back up but didn't even try the 4 on as the 2 fit like a glove. SO COMFORTABLE! Wore with higher rising Spanx, so the sheer panels didn't show any skin. Thankfully not noticeable because they were black, and the drape helped disguise some parts. No bra needed for me, but a larger bust might want to wear one. The regular length was perfect with a shorter heel - the dress reached the ground but I didn't worry about it dragging or getting caught in my shoes all night. Endless compliments all night, and I felt so sexy while still being covered for a family wedding!

Easy to wear and comfortable. As other reviewers mentioned you really can wear it without a bra because of how the overlay fits.

This is one of my very favorite dresses that I've rented from RTR thus far! Very comfortable, and received several compliments while wearing this one.

I'm just over six feet tall and the bottom skimmed the floor with flats. Fit is also great, body conscious but not restrictive and definitely true to size. Top overlay is the perfect detail to make this dress not like every other basic black dress. Would definitely rent again!

Super cute and incredibly flattering. It was comfortable to walk, sit, and dance in. It had a slight stretch that didn't make me feel uncomfortable. I was paranoid all night that my shapewear panties were going to show because of the sheer panels in the back. No one said anything so I might have been successful? I loved the neckline and the shoulders. I would definitely rent this dress again in a heartbeat!

This dress was so beautiful & elegant for a black tie wedding. Thankfully I didn't need a bra but if I had a larger bust I'm not sure how I would have pulled it off with the open back. The dress was comfortable and I was pleased the 4L fit as I was concerned about tightness in the midsection. I am small chested and did not fully fill out the top but did not matter with the overlay. This is was one of my top rentals! I am almost 5'8 and wore a 3 inch heel, length was perfect.

I wore this to a formal wedding in Atlanta in June. It was 80 degrees and I stayed cool since it has an open back and is not very heavy. I usually wear a size 10, but I sized up because the hips were snug. I also have a large chest and did not have to wear a bra because of the wavy overlay hiding some of the curves. It was PERFECT! The open back got a lot of compliments. I would also wear a long dangle earring with it.
