The 1X version fit just fine, but I needed to wear the 2X for length. I'm only 5'2" so I was surprised the 1X was so short. This dress is beautiful, it sparkles without being overly flashy, and is short enough that it doesn't look matronly. I rented this for a Gold and Glam Birthday Celebration and it fit the bill perfectly. It was comfortable for dinner and dancing (no shapewear required), and I received many compliments throughout the evening. The sleeves were long on my petite frame but the elastic cuffs prevented them from being a problem. The dress arrived in great condition with all sequins intact. If it were available to purchase in the future I'd buy it - I liked it that much.

The dress is a little short. I ended up wearing the larger size for length.

So I'm not entirely sure how to describe the fit of this dress because I purposely wore it over-sized. I wanted the dress not to cling on me at all and I wanted it to be "shapeless" so I chose to rent the 1X and the 2X. For reference, I am a size 14 jeans at American Eagle and a 16 dress at The Loft. It was a good decision because the 1X fit good was a bit clingy on my butt. If I put a pair of Spanx on I would have been fine but I really didn't want to go through all the trouble. Instead I wore the 2X. It was very big on me, esp in the arms and chest, but I don't think it looked bad at all. I received MANY compliments and really felt beautiful! This was my first RTR experience and I can't say enough good things about it. The dresses arrived on time and in a fantastic carrying "case". I already ordered my NYE dress and really can't wait! I highly recommend both this dress and this company.

This is such a comfortable style! It runs true to size and there is plenty of room throughout the whole shift, making it extremely comfortable and easy to wear. This style will work for any body type. There is a nude underlay, so you should not have to worry about wearing special undergarments. There is elastic a the wrists of the sleeves, that help keep them in place. The material is also super light, so it would work better for events that are inside this holiday season!

I rented this for an evening wedding in a art gallery. The fit was unbelievably comfortable! There is no stretch, but you won't need it. The sleeves were a little bit long for me, but the elastic keeps them from covering you hands. The sequins are rose gold, almost copper, and don't sparkle like typical sequins. There is some shine without being over the top and they were itchy or rough. I received so many compliments and was comfortable all night. Other reviewers mention garments looking worn. Mine came with tags on it, but by the end of the night, there were a few stray threads. I was a little extra cautious when getting in and out of the car and things like that, so I wouldn't snag.

Fits true to size but I ordered one size up, hopping to add length. Unfortunately, the 1X and the 2X were the same length :/ Overall, the dress was nice and loved the sequins! However, if you're looking for something with more structure, then keep looking.

My only complaint is that it's a bit short.. I am 5'9 and it was mid thigh... Just a warning for my taller girls! I paired with nude wedges and gold jewelry. I wish I took a full body shot with my complete outfit!

Alrighty, I am giving you all the details bc I feel they are helpful. I'm about 230 and 5'7. I wear a 40 DD. I wore the 2x because it was more forgiving around my bottom- this made it baggie up top but perfect for the belly and butt. Now I'm 5'7 and it was short in the back. There was no bending over or crazy dancing but I still loved it and I think if you are 5'5 this would be perfect.

I loved the parachute sleeve and the length was perfect since I am 5'6. If you are taller, I would be scared to sit or bend over. The design was beautiful and I love any Badgley Mischa dress. The fabric was not very forgiving and did have some issues with my "pooch". I for sure needed the super spanx for this dress.

I pushed the sleeves up so the elastic was just below my elbows & the sleeves ballooned down. That worked well.

No stretch but fit great, super comfy, and so flattering! 2x and 3x were the same size it seemed.

I had tried the dress on at the store in Chicago, so I knew it would fit fine. However, when I received the dress prior to my daughter's bridal shower, it had a horrible chemical smell to it! I even tried hanging it outside to air it out to no avail. I returned the dress and earrings on Saturday prior to the event on Sunday-ended up wearing an old outfit I had in my closet. So, I have an outfit reserved for her wedding day, but I will be also purchasing a dress to have in reserve just in case there's a problem with that dress also.
