Great dress for a winter event. It would probably be too warm to wear in the summer as the material is somewhat heavy. This was a back up dress I ordered when my initial dress didn't fit. The folks at RTR were amazing in working with me to not only select a second dress but to then ensure the dress arrived in time for my event. At the time this photo was taken, I was 14 weeks pregnant. Even though I didn't have much of a bump that early on, the strategically placed ruching and ruffles hide any bloat that I had going on. This is a very forgiving dress as it does have a bit of stretch. I am normally a size 4 with a 36C cup but went up to a 6 to accommodate a larger bust size of 36DD. Wore this with 3.5 inch heels and didn’t have any issues with length. I couldn't have been happier with my choice and felt very sexy!

The dress fit me perfectly. However I couldn't wear a bra because the fit in the back was very tight. The dress was long but with heels it didn't touch the ground. It was very easy to dance in and was a big hit! I love this dress.

The dress was very elegant. I would definitely rent again. I needed help with the zipper.

Fit well, comfortable

This gown is so forgiving in the mid drift area. Although the zipper is extremely tough to pull up, if you put on completely backwards and zip it up you can turn it around and adjust it that way. The gown for me was true to size and was extremely long. Even with heels I found myself stepping on it. I got so many compliments on this gown. I'm 5 even. And I'm not sure what size heel I had on probably like 3 inch. I'm not blessed in the tata department but with the right strapless bra you can be. I was pulling it up though all night.. I don't think I had a good bra though. The dress even kept me warm in the 35 degree weather at night.

Dress was super flattering and it fit well. I loved the neckline. It didn't slouch or fall off my chest. The side swiping material hides any kind of bulging tummy. I thought this would be my least favorite and it turned out to be the one I wore!

Very flattering dress, high quality, heavy material hangs nice. I received soo many compliments on this dress. I highly recommend this dress. I normally wear a smaller size dress, but after reading the reviews I ordered a size bigger than normal due to the fit. I have large hips . Size 8 fit perfectly.

I was a smidge self conscious by being "so bare" up too, but I pretended I was confident and I loved the way the dress looked on me. I got a ton of compliments, would definitely wear again. Dress was comfortable and unique. Very beautiful and elegant looking.

This gown was perfect for a formal even that i attended. It is very comfortable and easy to wear. Was a little big around the bust, but a few strategically placed safety pins fixed that. The split in the front is a little higher than expected, but not inappropriate. Overall this is a great dress - received many compliments.

Wore this to a Hollywood Awards show with my husband. He loved it & said it was perfect! It staid up no problem and was very flattering. Only issue was I shoukd of requested a shorter hem OR worn higher heels because I almost tripped on the length.

I ordered the 10 & 12 because I am between those two sizes and the 12 was more comfortable. I received several compliments throughout the night. The dress was comfortable and easy to move in. I would definitely recommend this dress.

The entire process was great. Loved the classy style and fit of the gown. Received many compliments. Loved the front slit and ruffled opening. Coordinated with my boyfriend's black tux perfectly! Will definitely use Rent The Runway again!

Loved everything about this dress! I actually wore to an event to do our baby reveal. It fit tts and was flattering AND forgiving with the strategically placed ruffles since i was packing a little extra weight being 4 months pregnant! There is nothing i would change about this dress and would rent it again!

I wore this to a Hollywood red carpet glitz and glam party. Lots of compliments. Didnt feel too over the top formal. Easy to move in too. This was my back up style but quickly rose to my #1.

My only complaint is that I couldn't keep it. I severely sprained my ankle three days beforehand and the boot actually fit perfectly underneath. Everyone loves the dress and for being injured I felt amazing!!!! I would rent this again! The zipper is tricky... make sure you have a helping hand!

Very very tight in the back, was almost impossible to zip up, took some serious effort. I am a size 4 or 6, but I wished I got an 8. Great dress, wow!

This dress fit like a glove! I'm 6' tall, and the length was perfect. I wore it with a 2 inch heel, and it still hit the floor. I've never felt more beautiful in a dress, or received more compliments. I wore this for a Cancer Benefit Gala, and the style of the dress was perfectly classy and elegent.

Slit was just enough subtle sexy

This is a spectacular dress. I wish I could buy it! The fit is so flattering but the slit and the lower dip in the bust area make it sexy, too. I received so many compliments on it. It accentuates all the right places and helps hide trouble spots (like a tummy). I actually almost wore the 8R, but it was just a little too tight. The 10R ended up fitting well, although I did have to pull it up a lot because it was a heavier dress and I don't have a large bust to keep the dress up. I wore 4 inch heels at 5'6" and the Regular was perfect for that.

This dress fit great! I was able to wear it without a bra and still had enough support. The slit isn’t too high, which I loved. I was able to easily walk and Dance the night away!

The dress fit fantastic! True to size. The zipper did stick a bit and we had to iron the waist ruffle to make it lay correctly. The work event went well. Lots of compliments.

I'm 5'6" about 140 pounds, curvy, true to size but a bit large in the breast area. Was able to wear strapless bra underneath without issue, but used tape to keep dress in place. Needed assistance with zipper, as other reviewers noted. Wore 3.5" heels and stepped on dress a few times, so a bit long. Excellent dress for a formal wedding. Received lots of compliments on style and fit. Wish I could have worn so much longer.

This dress fit very well on me. Had enough boning that I didn't need a bra, but also was comfortable and had give in the material and gathering across the belly to hide a less than six pack abs. I loved the ruffle slit in the leg. Enough to give it drama but not so much that it took away or made the dress feel "too much" You will need someone else to zip you in - the zipper like on every BM gown it seems - gets caught at the change in fabric. Needed a i inch platform plus 4 inch heel to keep dress off of ground. But truly, this was the only "fit" issue.

This dress was incredibly comfortable. It was elegant while having a touch of sexy. From the wedding to the reception, I was comfortable and could dance all night! The only drawback was it was a little long. Also, size up! I'm typically a 6, and the 8 fit like a glove. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this one!

This is the most flattering form fitting dress I've ever worn! Perfect for more formal events and hugs all the right curves! 5'9" 153lbs and I wore the 8L. It was the perfect length with 3 inch heels.

The dress is lined with a sturdy fabric that hugs curves and hides flaws. I wore a tall heel because at 5'4, the regular length was still a little long. Overall I loved the class of this gown. I wore this to my husbands military formal and received many compliments. 5*s!

I ordered this in 2P and 2R after being sized at the Georgetown store in DC, unfortunately the 2P wasn’t available at the time of shipment and I got to choose a 3rd dress for free. Being only 5’2” the 2R was a bit too long, I had to lift the right side (non slit side) to walk. But it fit my body like a glove, didn’t need a bra! It was so gorgeous on, I had to wear it and not the 3rd dress. I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS, this dress is a stunner.

This dress fit me perfectly. I felt so glamorous in it! The split down the leg is just another detail that I loved! I have an athletic lean body type with a broad back and 34D chest. Zipping up the dress was a bit difficult because the zipper would get jammed in the satin bit of the dress- I had to use pliers to have it zipped up and zipped down lol If you have a tummy, I would not recommend getting this dress- its quite form fitting in the waist.

I wore this dress to a Black Tie Gala, and felt oh so glam. I ordered the 4 along with the 6. The 4 was very tight on my hips. The 6 was perfect, but was big on my chest area. I purchased a strapless padded bra which helped. But still by the end of the night I was constantly pulling the dress up, but still fit well, and was very sexy and classy. The 6R was also the perfect length. It hurt me to return the dress. Would definitely purchase if I could.

This dress is stunning-it fits extremely well and is so comfortable! This dress is perfect for black tie weddings or award show ceremonies. It looks even better in real life than it does in photos. I highly recommend!

I loved this dress it was a little snug as it runs small and was sad the size up wasn't available at the last minute but rtr did everything in their power to ship two other dresses. I ended up wearing his although snug but I felt like a million bucks!
