Beautiful gown, true to size, extremely flattering.

Fit is snug, but beautifully to my body. The strapless dress stays up nicely and the bottom flares gradually. The color is rich and dramatic :)

Absolutely love this stunning gown! The color is gorgeous and the dress is perfect for showing off your curves. It is very fitted throughout and runs small, so definitely size up for your backup size! There is enough support in the top that no bra is needed! This dress is perfect for your next black tie event!

Rented this for my daughter for her first dance. She's tiny and the 0 fit perfectly. She is 5'4 and needed heels so it didn't drag on the floor. There is no stretch to this dress but my daughter is tiny. At 108 pounds she didn't fill out the top completely but was comfy enough to romp around with her friends.

Great shape, but a bit long for my height (5’3”) even with pumps

I saw this dress and had to have it but the process to get it was a nightmare. RTR is definitely not the easiest to work with but after some emails and calls I was able to get this dress sent out to me just in time for my trip. I'm so in love with it I can barely let myself take it off! It does run small like others have said and if you want to wear heals with it I'd go with the long if you can. I'm usually an 8/10 in dresses so I got a 12 (which was all they had) and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't be able to breathe in a 10. The bust is a little big so I'll probably wear a strapless underneath but I honestly cannot wait to glam up and wear this. The color looks amazing and the ruching is perfect to hide any problem areas (though I just lost 15lbs so I honestly just like fitting in it). Definitely get and it'll be hard not to want to buy this dress when I'm done.

Rented this gown for a SUPER black tie formal wedding that was held in Virginia. I got so many compliments, people thought I was the bride lol It was an African wedding and normally the bride wears color so it wasn't out of the ordinary for people to think that I was the bride. It was an absolutely amazing fit and length. I'm 5'7" so I got the long gown so I could pull off my 4.5" heels. The only con that I have with this dress is that the boning somehow ended up ripping through the fabric and it was scratching and poking me all night. But other than that, it was a showstopper!

Everything was amazing - compliments in a sea of other women who look equally beautiful- I totally spotted at least 6 other rtr dresses there but not this one - it was very very challenging to zip past my wide ribs and larger bust but I succeeded - with 3 inch heels sometimes people still stepped on it but I survived and didn't fall lol Rent this one - it is amazing !

Color is absolutely stunning and I love the mermaid shape. I got compliments all night! Definitely runs small especially on the hips and material has no give but I just got a size up and it was very comfortable. Was not pulling it up all night like I normally do with strapless dresses. Did not want to return it!

I am glad I read the reviews and ordered up from my regular dress size. I am a typical 8/10 and the 12R fit perfectly.

First off, let me be clear...this review is for the dress only, NOT my experience with Rent the Runway (which was quite difficult). This is a GORGEOUS gown and the color online doesn't do it justice. I thought it might run a tad small, so I sized up (glad I did!) and it ended up being perfect. For reference, I'm 5' 7" about 140lbs and usually wear a size 6. I did NOT wear a heel and it ended up being just the right length...so you might want to consider that. I got endless compliments and felt like a million bucks all night.

Wow! The cut of this dress ahows off your curves in all the right places! The color makes you stand out and shine! Many, many complements on this dress still, nearly a year later! If you dont want to blend in with a sea of black formal gowns, this is the one!

I had almost given up on RTR. I feel like things never fit, and then you're out of luck. I ended up with a $150 credit which I tried to sell for a year, and no one jumped on it. In the end, I decided to use the credit. I ordered the Peacock Dress in a 6p. At 5'4 with 3" heels, it was a perfect length. The dress fit like a glove, like it was made for a real person, not a modely type. In fact, my backup size was damaged and RTR also sent the Maralena Gown by GABRIELA CADENA which is a $700 rental, a $5,000 dress, and I chose this one. This one was lovely, and the color is stunning. Of course, my husband was my best accessory. He sported the Hugo by Brackish, to compliment the dress, and received way more compliments than I.

This dress is a gorgeous deep teal color that you don't see a lot of. The structure of the dress helps it stay up, though the top was a little loose for me. Otherwise the fit was pretty true to size. Definitely very flattering - got lots of compliments on the dress!

This dress was a show stopper at a black tie silent auction I went to. I got SO MANY compliments. The material and color were beautiful. It is a mermaid fit, which was super flattering. This was my first mermaid/trumpet dress, so I learned it's a little tough to walk up and down stairs.. but other than that this dress was PHENOMENAL and I would recommend it to anyone. Both sizes fit, although I sized up just for more walking room.

Great fit and length was perfect with 3" heels. (I'm 5'3".) I never wore a mermaid silhouette before because I don't like my stomach, but the ruching and drape of this gown was very flattering.

This dress is very beautiful and flattering, although it runs VERY small. I'm 5'3", 120 pounds and I'm a pretty solid size 4. But I saw that this gown ran small so I ordered a size 6, with a backup size 8. I ended up wearing the 8. It worked perfectly for a formal banquet I go to every year. The color is gorgeous, the fit is flattering, and it's pretty comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I normally wear a 6L, but only 4L was available. With a pair of Spanx....made it work! The top was a good fit, the bootie/hips was were it was more snug, but still did ok. I got a milllion compliements and felt beautiful. I also rented the necklace if you can see, that was a stunner as well!

The dress is a show stopper! It was very difficult to get the side zipper up, but once it was up it was ON and held everything in place perfectly. No need to wear a bra even though I am a 36d. The fabric does not have any stretch so keep that in mind. Everyone at the ball commented on the gorgeous peacock blue/teal color and how it was so flattering. I am very fair skinned and often struggle with color choices, but this color is fantastic.

I did not wear this dress because there was a pen mark front and center on the stomach area of the dress that I saw as soon as I opened the plastic bag. That didn't stop me from trying on the dress though. I absolutely LOVED the look, feel, and color of this dress and I'm sad that I didn't get to wear it. I tried the dress on without a bra (it is well lined) and with 4-inch heels that seemed to be the right height so that I wouldn't be tripping on the dress if I could have worn it. I am normally a size 6 in formal dresses and this dress fit true to formal dress size. Because of the stain on the 6R and the backup size not fitting a RTR Rep overnighted me 2 more dresses (1 of which also had a stain and the other worked out perfectly).

I immediately fell in love with this dress when I saw it and read all the reviews to figure out the right sizes to order. I am 5'2", 118lbs with an athletic build. I decided on the 0R and the 2R. Much to my dismay when I received the dresses Thursday night, I could zip neither over my rib cage. RnR overnighted a 4R by noon on Saturday of the event. It fit beautifully (though slightly big in the chest - I am a 34B). The color and style is simply stunning and I was stopped by many people who told me they loved the dress! I highly recommend this dress!

I am 5'8" and wore the 4R. It was just the right length- too long and it would puddle and the fabric is too thick for that to look good. Very snug- would've tried the 6R but it was unavailable. Got compliments on the color. It's a beautiful, glamorous dress- can't go wrong.

This dress is simply stunning. The color is so unique. It really stands out. The fabric is beautiful and the dress well made. The regular was perfect in length for me with 3 inch heels. (I am 5'5".) The bottom was wrinkled when it arrived but was very easy to iron. I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat.

I felt like a million bucks in this dress. I received so many compliments all night long, even from strangers. The dress fit very well and accentuated all the right curves, while not highlighting my flaws. I didn't have to tug at the dress at all and was super comfortable in it. I even went out dancing after the gala until 3am! I absolutely loved this dress and would buy it in a heartbeat. In regards to the size, I went up a size slightly because of my hips and thighs. Apparently, I do too many squats or not enough.

It fit perfectly. I have a small bust (32B) so a padded strapless bra was needed and fit underneath. I am fairly short at 5'2" and needed the 4" heels I wore with it. For my first time renting, it could not have gone bettter!

This dress was very elegant but a little tight at the waist--run small. I recommend renting one size up or order a second size just in case. But Still I got a lot of compliments about the dress and the clutch ; )

I'm between a size 10 and 12 because of my body type (big top and slim bottom). I ended up wearing the 12 because the top fits a little snug. The hip area had a little more wiggle room because I have slim hips. Length was perfect when I put my heels on (I'm not wearing shoes in the pic). Overall the dress fit me well and gave my sturdy build a more feminine hourglass figure. I received compliments all night on the color and style of the dress. The jewel tone is absolutely amazing! I would def wear this dress again!

The previous reviews were spot on! The mermaid fit was slim through the hips, so I sized up. I had a nice fit through the bodice, and could wear my usual strapless bra with no fit issues. If the 12L was available, I would have rented that because the 12R length was just a bit short. I wore flats as I planned, and even then it seemed a teeny bit short and there wasn't as much of a train as shown in the preview photo. Overall, it was a well designed gown in a gorgeous teal color with a true mermaid fit.

I loved this dress. LOVED IT. It had a perfect wow factor for the optional black tie wedding we attended. I wear a 0/2 depending on the cut. The 0 fit everywhere BUT my ribcage and the 2 only fit my ribcage, being big everywhere else! Once I changed to a different slip (hip smoothing, not spanx that came over my ribs) and we soaped the zipper, it closed right up. I did wear a small push up bra, but I don't think it was really needed, due to how it sat on my hips and fit snuggly around my ribs. Not uncomfortably so though. The color is amazing (my photos don't do it justice - darn low lighting!), combined with the rouching (sp?) and the way the fabric lays, this dress was super flattering! Perfect strangers complimented me and asked repeatedly where I'd gotten such a lovely gown! High-five, RTR...High. Five.

I rented this dress for a Black Tie Gala. I received compliments from the time I arrived. I attended a causal event 2 weeks later and people still walked up to say how great the dress was!

I never get to wear these kinds of things, so I created my own occasion... surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with wine and cheese in an abandoned tower that overlooks sf bay. I looked and felt like a princess. The dress was a bit large in the chest and I probably could have worn a 2 long.

Loved the color and cut of this dress. Got many compliments. It does have virtually no stretch so be prepared if you have a larger chest; it was a close call but worked just fine! Loved the dress.

I love this dress and have rented it twice. The first time, I wore the 4R and it fit perfectly (a little tight in the torso). The second time, the 4R was damaged so I could only rent the 4L, which was fit well in the torso but was too long. I got a ton of compliments and loved wearing it!
