I typically wear a size 16 or 18, so I sized up to be on the safe side. The 18 was way too big. I had RTR send me an emergency 16, and it fit better but was still loose on top. It was so loose that the neckline gaped open, even with fashion tape. I loved the look of this dress, but my enjoyment of the evening was diminished by constantly having to adjust my dress to keep the evening PG-13 rated. This dress might work better for a more busty woman. It really is quite gorgeous, and I loved the way it looked when the tape was in place and everything lined up just right. Got lots of compliments, especially on the color. Note that the long version of this dress is *long*. I'm 5'10" and even with 3" heels, I found the dress dragging on the floor quite a bit.

This dress was so comfortable and flowed nicely. I had to pin the front so the neckline wasn't so low, but after that it was perfect!

there were two cons with this dress 1) the bust was wayyyyy too big on me 2) the zipper was really hard to get

I ordered a 16 long & 18 long. Only the 18L arrived, so that was what I wore, but I would have liked to have tried the 16L. The 18 was big on me- the shoulders, the waist & the V neck were definitely too big- but I made it work. The description is not kidding when it says low cut! I have 38DD+'s and it was waayyy too much cleavage to attend a church wedding! I used a small binder clip and a safety pin to hold it closed. It was a gorgeous dress and people stopped me to tell me how beautiful it was. Very flowy and comfortable, not a dress where you must wear Spanx/pantyhose unless you want to. I am almost 6'1", so the long stopped just at the top of my feet. I would have liked it to be floor length, but that's the story of my life, ha!

I loved the tight fit at the top and the flowing looking on the bottom. The royal blue color looks amazing. Truly loved it!

As a blonde, the color of this dress made me stand out in a great way - EVERYONE loved the color and its every bit as vibrant on the site as it is in real life. I loved the flowy skirt and the fact that I could wear a regular bra - BIG PLUS. I had to pin the front because it was a little too revealing for the event I was singing in (sang Messiah in a beautiful church where bustiness wasn't appropriate) and my BIGGEST GRIPE - there is a slit up to your knee while standing/thigh while sitting in both the under layer and the top layer that was not well advertised and really caught me off guard. I had Spanx that were too long and showed below the slit and when I sat, which was frequently, it was so noticeable the audience could see it. I loved the dress overall and would wear it again, just with the knowledge of the slit.

It was a little big in the chest area so I just pinned it in the back and wore my hair down to cover up the extra fabric.

It was a little big around the bust and shoulders, so we used a pin to keep it closed. For me, it was the perfect length with small heels. I will totally be using Rent The Runway again for my senior prom!

Loved this dress !! The only negative was that I had to wear flats it wasn’t long enough for heels.

I ordered this dress in both a 16W and the 16. The 16 barely fit and since it was tight and had a high back I was worried that I wouldn't be able to unzip it on my own (and would have to sleep in it until my roommate got home the next day) so I opted for the 16W. This was too bad since the 16W was a full 3 inches shorter than the 16, even though I ordered a "regular" length in both. I'm 5'7" and the 16 would have been the perfect length with 3-4" heels. I opted for shorter shoes and tried to make it work, but would have loved a couple more inches so that the dress fell to the floor. As others have mentioned this dress has an incredibly deep v in front, so if you're busty plan on a lot of fashion tape. It's not visible in the model's photo, but there is a great slit up to mid-thigh in the lining of the dress - when you walk it's visible through the sheer layers of chiffon. Overall I was super happy (and comfortable) in the dress - thanks RTR!

The material is VERY soft and flowy - EXACTLY what I was looking for. However the top was SO massive I couldn't keep it up and the liner was bunching on the inside from being too small on the bottom. In addition, for the price point of the dress I expected the zipper to work better. It kept getting stuck on the fabric, and sometimes it just wouldn't go up at all (and like I said it was massive on my upper body, so size wasn't the issue)

This dress was way too big in the top. I could not have worn this comfortably without significant alterations. I liked the fabric and I think it would have looked good on me if it had come anywhere close to fitting. They don't have my bust size as an option on the drop down for the review: 36DDD

Beautiful dress! It runs a bit big, so I had to pin it a couple of places, but overall was beautiful

I think it ran a little small but it was beautiful. Had to use the tape because the front showed much cleavage.

I am 6ft tall and it fit well and was great to dance in. I wore it to a black tie wedding with nice earrings and small heels. The chest is a little deep and can show to a lot of cleavage, nothing that a pin can't easily fix.

I am pretty tall and this dress came in and hit right at the floor for me. It was probably a little short even wearing the 20WL, I wore flats for the evening and it still worked out. I did receive many great compliments about the color and the fit of the dress. I would definitely rent it again.
