Everything about this skirt is amazing! I'm shorter so the skirt went to about my ankles. The 4 fit well too, but i liked the slightly longer length with the 6. Fabric is beautiful and the fullness of the skirt is wonderful. Also pockets!

This skirt is absolutely stunning and so well made. I love it paired with the matching top for a unique black tie look. You could definitely wear this outfit to a wedding. The skirt itself runs true to size, but does not have any stretch. As it hits above the hips, I would recommend sizing down as backup. The outfit is very appropriate and does not show off your midriff as much as you'd think since the skirt is high waisted. Highly recommend!

I ordered the top in a 4 and the skirt in both a 4 and a 6; both fit but the 6 hit lower closer to my navel and showed off a little more skin than I was willing to , so I wore the 4 and enjoyed compliments evening .. The earrings are Kendra Scott .. Skirt is satin lined so beware if you are wearing to a daytime or outdoor event

I loved wearing this skirt. I was concerned at first as I'm pretty hippy, very hourglass shaped, and slim on the top. The skirt was flattering, as it sat high on my waist. The pleating around the top flared out a bit from my hips due to my shape, but in a nice way. It was fun to twirl around and wear a skirt in such a formal way, at a black-tie wedding. My usual dress size is 8 and I ordered an 8, fit into it no problem.

Absolute BEST choice I could have made. The silver shimmer to the floral pattern made it dressy but I paired it with a very basic gray t-shirt to tone down the formality. MAJOR BONUS--POCKETS!! cell phone, lip gloss, and a camera nicely tucked away but always just a grab away for all the shower moments!

Did a longer review on the top. Just know that the skirt is a bit longer. I'm 5'6 with a long torso. The skirt hit above my navel and the hem still skimmed the tops of my ankles. Wouldn't recommend to petite friends. But I DID LOVE this outfit! Enjoy the compliments you'll get wearing this!

This skirt and shirt combo was beautiful. I wore it to my junior prom and loved it. My original dress ended up not being available and I chose this one as a back up. I ended loving it anyway and rent the runway had the most amazing customer service ever!!! This combo ended up fitting me differently than most girls, the skirt hit me a few inches above the ankle and the crop top completely covered my stomach. I account this for my disproportionately long legs and short torso. The top was great because you can wear a regular bra underneath, and I even wore athletic shorts under the skirt. ( another plus the skirt had pockets) I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't fit me perfectly, but it was an overall beautiful ensemble.

The skirt fit like a glove! I ordered both the 2 and the 4; I wore the 2 because it fit higher up on my waist and I wanted les skin to show for the baby shower I attended. The material was gorgeous and everyone told me I looked great and so chic. The pockets were perfect for lipstick and my phone when I needed a camera at the drop of a hat. I'm on the hunt to purchase this skirt for my own!

The skirt was perfect and I wish I didn't have to send it back! It's a little heavy but flows so much that I didn't have a problem with it. Also I expected it to sit a little higher on my waist but other than that- phenomenal. Best dress I've worn.

I loved this skirt but I wish I had gotten the 4. I would not recommend sizing down as the waist band has no give. Very cute w the matching crop top. The skirt had a luxe lining you will feel like a princess. It is long so not recommending for shorter girls. Overall very fun.

Wore this dress to my junior prom and I fell in love with it! The top was loose and a little bit short because of my height, so I wore a size 4 in it. The skirt made up for it though and I wore a size 2, it was high waisted and fit perfectly. The skirt ended around the middle of my calf. My favorite part overall was probably the fit and the skirt has pockets! I got many compliments and I definitely would recommend this classy, unique dress that no one else will have!

This has been one of my favorite rent the runway rentals by far. You can really never go wrong with Badgley Mischka- the quality of the material is unreal and the fit is always spot on. The top and bottom together are a show stopper and the fact that the skirt has pockets is just the cherry on top of this amazing outfit. Be aware the material is thick and will be hot if it is hot outside. It runs true to size, however I sized down because I wanted the skirt to fit higher up on my waist so that there wouldn't be a gap between the top and bottom. People were calling me "Cinderella" and "Claire Underwood" all night.

I could not have asked for a better outfit for a fundraiser. The fabric is very elegant so I paired it with a more casual top, and I was still more dressed up than many... But I loved it! I received compliments ALL night. The skirt is so incredibly well made. I would have never EVER picked this out, but I'm so glad I just went for it.

Couldn't believe how heavy this fabric was - in a good way - and how unique the look was. Fabric in the top is different than the bottom (and lighter in weight), but obviously corresponds. I needed a size 2 in the top but a zero in the bottom. Compliments before, after, forever - it's been almost a year. Wear this outfit!

I don't have anything negative to say about this outfit. Wasn't my original order but I am so glad this is what I ended up wearing. The RTR customer service is phenomenal.

*Skirt and Top are rented separately* Beautiful, heavy fabric makes this appropriate for winter. The top is actually a gray lace and the bottom is a lavender and silver damask. Beautiful and feminine. I debated about size but the 6 or 8 both fit, I decided to go for the 8 for a little extra room. The Top I got in a 4 and 6 and both worked but the 6 showed a little less midriff which seemed more appropriate. Can't say enough great things about this outfit!

The photo of this dress simply doesn't do it justice. Firstly, this dress is shimmery and so much more amazingly beautiful in person. The lace and shimmer detailing on this skirt and top is gorgeous. I wore this for a photo shoot and it photographed beautifully as well. Both the top and bottom run true to size. The skirt is somewhat heavy but not uncomfortable in my opinion. You will not be disappointed!

I wore this skirt with the matching top to an event in NYC. Side note: fabrics are slightly different but match well. I got a ton of compliments all night from strangers. The sparkly fabric was very special and luxe.

Everyone at my bridal shower asked where I got this outfit -- I felt so elegant and comfortable in it, and it matched all of the silver decor of the party. I am usually a size 4, and the same was true for this skirt and top. I ordered the 6 as my backup size, but went with the 4 for both the skirt and top. I was worried about the two-piece aspect of the dress being too much for a bridal shower, but it is very subtle and you do not have much of the stomach shower. The skirt is long and full, which make it very elegant. I paired it with ivory shoes and purse and silver and ivory bracelet, and silver earrings. So many of my guests commented on my outfit. It is the perfect bridal shower ensemble -- two thumbs up!

The fit was true to size. I wear a 4 and wore it for both the skirt and top. The top is more lacy than the picture shows and he bottom a bit more shiny. It's a great non-traditional outfit that is both sexy and fashionable. It is a heavy fabric though so maybe not a summer outfit!

Fit perfectly for me. I'm tall and curvy. My midriff only showed if I raised my arms. The skirt was a perfect length and very fun to twirl in. Wore for a fall wedding, the fabric is thick so would probably be best for fall-winter weather.

This was a super charming outfit for a southern Charleston wedding. I wore the skirt with the matching top, silver jewelry and nude pumps. I got SO many compliments from all ages. It's classy, timeless, and an hour in I realized I had pockets! - Nothing better. I'm so glad I ordered 2 sizes in the skirt because the zipper on the larger size broke while walking to the ceremony. I'm not sure if it's because it had been overused or what - but I had to run back to the hotel room and throw on the smaller size, which luckily fit just fine. There isn't a whole lot of give in the skirt, but the difference in one size wasn't too significant for me. Keep in mind it's a lot of fabric - I wore it to an October indoor/outdoor wedding in South Carolina so it was perfect but I wouldn't recommend it for a hot summer outdoor event. The skirt and the top do not match identically. The top matches the trim of the skirt and is a bit more silver than lavender.

The material is a little heavy and there's a lot of fabric, but don't let that intimidate you. I wore this in the summer, and never felt too hot. It was longer on me than what's shown on the model. The pockets were a big plus. The colors are beautiful, shimmery but not too much. Loved wearing this dress!

Fit to size. SO comfortable. More fabric on skirt and longer than expected but extremely high quality. Skirt hits perfectly on upper waist. SO much fun to dance in!! Could not have been happier! Definitely recommend this!!!

This dress is stunning. I received so many compliments from my family and guests at my bridal shower! I am typically between a 4 and a 6 (my top is broader/bustier) so I felt comfortable going with the 4 in the skirt. The skirt is very fitted at the waist and A-lines out, hiding any trouble tummy spots. I have a long torso and was concerned my midriff would be too bare, but the high waist keeps it conservative with the matching top. Many of my guests didn't even realize it was two pieces.

Since this is two pieces I ordered 2/4 in the skirt and a 2 in the top( since I'm very small chested I was not as worried about only having one size in the top). I tend to wear either a 2 or a 4 depending on the brand. But this skirt is meant to sit on your natural waist not hips so you might find your self sizing down so that it fits snuggle (it is meant to be high waisted and it looks best this way). This fit amazingly and with the skirt sitting higher it did not show to much tummy and is very flattering. The tea length of the skirt gives it so much class and elegance. I wore this to an outdoor wedding in Virginia and I was very comfortable. Its definitely a heavier fabric but the lining is very breathable. This top/skirt combo can be worn all year- for sure! Now on to what matters even more, The best part of this outfit... the compliments... SO MANY COMPLIMENTS! I did not know a lot of people at this wedding and I had so many women and men stop me to tell me how much they loved my outfit!!! It was amazing... <3

Fit great! Definitely rent the top to go with it. I got so many compliments that I stopped counting. My favorite had something to do with a comparison to Audrey Hepburn/a princess. I felt very glamorous and the little peek-a-boo made it flirty and fun. It was also very photogenic. I have to give credit to my boyfriend for picking it out. I was skeptical at first, but it ended up being the perfect choice.

MUST rent the skirt and matching top SEPARATELY if you wish to have them both. I was confused about this before reading the reviews. Each piece is a separate order. I usually wear a 4-6 in dresses and gowns and ordered the 4 in both the skirt and matching top. I highly recommend ordering both pieces together. The skirt is a little bit of a different color than the top, but they go together well. I rated the skirt a 4 out of 5, because it is a little longer than I would have liked. I wore 3 inch heels to make it look a little shorter. I received TONS of compliments the entire night!

Dress was super flowy and rich looking in pics. I felt in person the skirt looked pretty worn, so that's why I docked 1 star. Otherwise was really happy with it. I recently gave birth and it hid my tummy really well!

This is a really beautiful fabric. I got compliments on it all night, and it perfect for dressing up for an extended family holiday party. The fabric is heavy, I would really only want to wear this in the cooler months of the year. My event wasn't formal enough for the matching top so I dressed it down with a simple black scoop neck. It was nice to have something fitted as the skirt is quite large. I wore it with my grandmother's fun over-the-top necklace which balanced the 'baroque'-ness of the skirt. People kept asking if it was vintage! Definitely get a size down-you want to wear this at the SMALLEST point of your waist possible!

Loved the length. I'm 5'7 and it hit mid calf. I had my mom try it on for fun (had to have her experience the amazing "twirl" factor) and at 5'5 it was just above her ankles. I rented another skirt for around Christmas time and it was also a four (Moschino). It fit much better. This skirt was tight (waist only). The fabric was gorgeous, works well with silver jewelry as there is silver in the skirt. Did not notice much of a difference between the two and four. The two was slightly shorter and slightly smaller waist but unnoticeable difference in size when hung next to each other.

The fit of both pieces is true to size. There is a lot of fabric in the skirt, but I thought it hung nicely even though it was fairly long. The fabric of the top and bottom are actually different, but compliment each other very nicely. I received many compliments about my dress and was pleased with the selection I made. My first Rent The Runway experience was great. It came when promised in an all-in-one garment/shipping bag. All return instructions and labels are included and you just have to dip at a UPS store the next day. Super easy! I will definitely be doing this again.

I loved the top and skirt, I wore this to prom and there was nothing else there like it. I felt unique and fashion-forward. The top fit well, but the skirt was a little big and heavy- especially for someone of my height. I suggest sizing down on the skirt for a better fit.

I wore this for my bridal shower. It was a lot heavier than I expected and had lots of layers so I was pretty hot. I am very tall and this hit me right in mid calf. I don't know if anyone shorter would be able to wear it. Overall the whole outfit was perfect for what I was going for. Tasteful but a very fun.
