I didn't initially order this dress but when my dress was damaged I had to find an alternative. Saddened at first, but I believe this was the dress that I was meant to wear to my mother's surprise party. I felt glamorous, classy, and beautiful!!! I love everything rose gold so it was perfect. You will have to wear a low back or strapless bra because of the draping in the back. Hugged all my curves in the right places. Overall a great dress and would totally rent again!!!

I ordered 2 sizes and thank G-d I did! My size was a little snug and I had to up the ante so to speak :). Other than that, it was a great dress for a great occasion -- my son's wedding!

I love, lovvveee the fit of this gown. I felt extremely elegant and looked very classy. It hugged my body in all the right places and was comfortable the entire night. The only con I have is I should have ordered 20WL instead of 20WR. Once I put my heels on the dress didn't hit the ground like I had versioned.

Originally, I ordered this same style dress in a 14 but couldn't get sz 16 as the backup size because it was out of stock. I received the dress 2 days before my event and panicked because the size 14 didn't fit over my arms. The staff was really helpful and found the same style but in a size 18 and overnighted it to me. I decided to chance it, I still had a backup dress just in case. When the dress arrived, it fit perfectly! It wasn't too tight or too loose. I wore shape wear underneath and rose colored heels. The dress is a rose-gold color. I was able to wear a normal bra because the back didn't hang too low and I also had my hair down. The only con was that the sequins caught onto everything so you have to be careful. But the dress was beautiful, I felt beautiful and most importantly, comfortable. It was long but not too long, I was able to put on flats at the end of the night and not worry about it dragging on the ground. BTW, the dress was rather popular, I saw one girl with the same color and another with the same style just in a midnight blue color; what can I say--we all have wonderful taste!

This was the 3rd dress I attempted to rent for a formal with my boyfriend. It was actually my original favorite all along, so maybe my problems with the other dresses I tried to order was kismet! I love love loved this dress! I felt so glamorous and stunning. I did wear Spanx because it was form fitting and a strapless/backless bra. The beads would sometimes stab under my fingernails, but it was worth it. Beauty is pain? But otherwise, this dress is super comfortable! I also rented the Gold version of this dress in a 14, and while it fit, this was a much better fit overall. And the color was so pretty! This dress feels very "old Hollywood."

I loved the fit however I did pin up the back because I wasn't comfortable showing that much back but the dress was very nice! Loved the material and it was comfortable to wear.

It fit like a glove--I normally wear a size 14 to 16, and this was perfect. It was surprisingly comfortable, except for the sequins scratching at my armpits occasionally (the ONLY reason this dress did not get 5 stars). I would also caution my fellow short women out there to make sure you get a bra extender that brings the back of your bra down far enough--this dress dips REALLY low in the back. Or, you can pin it up a bit if you want. Although the front of the dress looks a little short, the back is longer, so use caution when selecting a length. All in all, if you are feeling like channeling your inner pin-up, rent this dress and throw on some bright red lipstick--the compliments won't stop! I felt so beautiful and classy. It was very fun and very glam--I thoroughly enjoyed this dress. I tried to put on gold earrings with it--honestly, it is so glitzy on its own, jewelry wasn't even necessary. Thank you RTR, you made my night spectacular!

Received many, many compliments on the dress. I love Rent the Runway! They always pull through for me. The dress was a little snug so I went up a size and although I wore the long it still wasn't quite long enough. I made it work with low heels though.

I initially wanted to send this dress back and get a replacement because I thought it was too short. I saw in the reviews from the straight sizes that the gown was hitting the floor for most women. I ordered the long size because I am 5' 7" and I wanted it to be a floor length gown on me. Well when I tried it on, even with flats, it was about 3 inches from touching the floor. So my heels were fully visible up to my ankles. I can't imagine how this would work for anyone taller than me, it might become tea length. Other than that, the material was quite stretchy and the dress overall was very comfortable. I would recommend finding a bra strap concealer or something that allows your back to show. The color is gorgeous in person. Definitely more pink or rose gold.

I can assure you, because I have looked, that finding a floor length sequined gown in maternity sizes if you are not famous or extremely wealthy is basically impossible. I normally wear a 12-14 and ordered this dress in an 18 and a 20 and crossed my fingers and toes that this non-maternity gown would work. The baby must have been crossing his too because they both fit and I was able to comfortably wear the 18 over my bump. I felt beautiful, the dress looked great, and it was long enough to cover up the fact that I was wearing Ugg boots underneath it (these photos were on a beach in the north in December). I will note that although I didn't end up wearing it the size 20 seemed to have some sort of factory defect in the sequin fabric. It looked kind of like there was a seam in the front that was not there in the 18. Not a huge deal, but if I'd needed to wear that one my perfectionist self would have been fixated on that seam in all of the photos. That is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

I normally wear a 22 or 24 on the bottom. My bust size is 44 C (RTR might want to include sizes that exist above a 38). The dress fit, but didn't flatter. It's a gorgeous dress, and would look great on a more hourglass shape. The length was good, but if you are any taller and the same thickness as me, I'm guessing it'll run a little on the short side. If you're a little more slender but taller, it'll probably fit just fine. I opted not to wear this dress because the fit wasn't what I'd hoped for and also because the event was much less formal that I had expected. I ended up choosing the Kay Unger dress I got in addition using PRO. It was a great option, see review there :)

The dress fit very well overall. I ordered a 16W and and 18W, I'm 5'4 curvy build and wear a 38DD. The difference between the 16W and 18W was mostly more fabric across the bust/shoulders, around the waist and a longer length. I liked the fit of 16W better because it hugged the curves and didn't drag on the floor so i could wear flats and dance all night! My only issue was the sequins under the arms were very scratchy but that was to be expected wearing a short-sleeved sequin dress. Overall I give this dress a 9/10! Thanks RTR! :D <3

This dress is amazing. All the bridesmaids received compliments all night and it photographs fantastically. The only downside was the sequins under the arms were slightly irritating, but nothing bad. My dress was perfect because I am wider, but shorter. The taller girls wished they had ordered the long. A couple of them did order the long, but it was still a little short on them. I would DEFINITELY recommend this dress.

Everyone loved this dress! We wore it as bridesmaids and it was a hit! It falls perfectly and hides the imperfections. The shimmer and the color is perfect in the lighting. I felt like a movie star and it is comfortable. I wore this dress in September and it wasn't too heavy or too hot.

Wear a no-show bra, because the back is pretty low!

The fit was clingier than I expected. I will also note that the dress is sequined, which is not mentioned in the description. You will also need to either not wear a bra or have an AMAZING convertible bra with proper foundation. The back fell at least two inches below my bra line so finding proper foundation was not easy, but I did some finagling and it all worked out. The color is less blush (to me) and more rose gold.

This dress fits well and is true to size. The sequins don't feel itchy at all, and it moves well. The only major con is the length. I'm 5'9" and I am so grateful I ordered the long size! The regular length only made it to mid calf. Also, make sure you wear the correct bra, given the low back.

Super flattering. I went a size up so that I could get a great flow from the dress. It has a cute fish-tail train situation in the back, so this is a must with heels. Keep the jewelry to a minimum. The earrings and bracelet I wore were a perfect compliment. I got ALOT of compliments on this entire ensemble!! Would definitely recommend it!! (BTW - Bust size is a 40G, drop down didnt have my size.)

I got so many compliments on this dress. I was 21 weeks pregnant and I had to size up because the size I originally ordered was no longer available. Although it was big I still wore it and had a wonderful experience.

I wore this to my 45th Class reunion and received soooo many compliments. I was told I looked like I million. The dress was beautiful in person as it was on. The sequins sparkled like the stars in heaven once the light hit it. The dress was very comfortable and it was long as it covered my 3' heels. Kudooooooos to RTR and yes I am waiting to rent again.

This dress ran pretty true to size, it wasn't skin tight and gave enough room to dance and move. I would say that if it weren't for the long length it would have been way too short and even the LONG size was a tad short for heels . I wanted to wear flats so it worked out ok but if I wanted to wear heels the dress would have been too short.

The pic doesn't do the dress justice. I looked amazing! I had 2 strangers stop to tell me how great I looked. I wore it to opening night of the opera, and I think I killed it! My friend said I looked amazing too! :)

Fits true to size. I was worried that the sequins were going to stab my armpits, but I was fine as soon as I put it on. I got compliments all night long. I felt great and looked pretty darn good too!

I enjoyed the give of the dress and how flattering it made me look even if I am not a size 2! The glamour of the style really captures the eye and I received so many compliments. Although the back hangs low, you can either wear a strapless bra or do what I did, fix the hanging back with a few pins! I was comfortable and felt beautiful! First dress from RTR and definitely not the last!!

I wore this for my wedding and absolutely loved it! I tried it on a few months in advance to make sure it would fit properly and it was even better than I thought! I loved how glamorous I felt and every one complimented me all night. Towards the end of the night the insides of my arms started chafing on the sequins but that is the extent of my "cons" I love RTR, I will definitely use them in the future. This dress was very high quality and went perfect with my Gatsby themed wedding!

Beautiful dress. like wearing liquid gold. Very forgiving and easy to wear. I usually wear an 18 Long. As that size was not available I went with this and I am glad that I did., The dress was long enough for me which is rare. This was my first experience with rent the runway and it was fabulous from beginning to end. I received compliments all night long.

Wore this dress to the Emmy's Saturday night and the compliments have not stopped yet!! This dress shows a little sex appeal but has lots of class and elegance.Even though I'm 5'5, I got the longer length and wore heels that are maybe 3 inches tall and the dress lightly skimmed the floor, which was the look i was going for. I will say because I have a large chest (DDD), I didn't have a bra that was low enough in the back for the low cut back so I had to improvise and hook a paper clip onto the bottom of my bra and attach it to the top of my Spanx. The bra didn't budge all night and I was comfortable the entire time. A co-worker actually wore the same dress and looked just as lovely. Great minds think alike! I definitely plan on renting another dress from Rent The Runway!

Wrong size sent to me and backup never came, but still rocked it. This dress allows you to do that (with the right control wear!) Please don't forget to wear proper undergarments with this dress. Sequins can be your best friend or your worst enemy. RTR turned this into a much better experience with their customer service.

I ordered the 14 and the 16WL, the 14 fit also but I found the 16 WL to be more comfortable. The dress was beautiful, and I received compliments all night. I definitely recommend wearing spanx with this as the mid drift isn't the most forgiving. Also, I got the "long"which still wasn't long enough but it was beautiful nonetheless.

I could wear my normal size however, I went with the larger one only because I could hide some unfavorable parts of my body a little better in the bigger size.

Unless you are an athletic body type I would not suggest renting this dress. The rose gold color is beautiful and I really wanted it to look great but I am an hourglass body type and the dress just hangs below the bust. I expected it to be heavy because of the sequins but it just does;t fit well if you have any curves. It also runs VERY short and if you are over 5'4" I would suggest getting the tall unless you plan to wear flats. The dress was above my ankles, even if had worn flats it would have looked odd. Also make sure to have double sided tape for the lining of the hem which will show if you don't tape it into place. The dress is lovely but I am very glad I ordered a second dress in another style, otherwise I would not have had a dress to wear.

I didn't wear this dress - I didn't actually select this dress but it was sent as back up when the dress I rented was only available in my back up size . I tried it on just to try it though and the gold color and sparkle are beautiful , the draping in the back is gorgeous and you can still wear a regular bra with it. It fits true to size due to stretchy material I would wear spanks with this. The material has thick lining though which is nice . I am fairly short and the length would have been fine with low heels. The only thing I don't like about the dress is my preference.- I don't like the high neck in the front I like a lower neckline on myself . However I wanted to try it on and give this a review although I knew I wouldn't be wearing it because I find the reviews so hopeful when renting so hopefully this helps someone !

The dress is very fitted. If you have a tummy you must wear SPANX or compression bottoms. I used a regular bra and slightly tucked the bottom of the back in and you couldn't tell. I am a size 16 so I ordered a 16L and a back-up 18L. The 16 fit perfect. This was my first Rent the Runway experience and it will not be my last! I was expecting it to be a bit longer but even with flats it did not touch the floor.

Fit was true to size I ordered the 18 also because of the reviews and i didnt even need it. Measure yourself prior to ordering and look at the size chart and you will have a perfect fit too... I do wish it was a lil longer... I worn sandals with it cause it was at my ankles with my heels on.

I couldn't wear this rose-gold dress but I wish I could've, it is gorgeous and flattering. Wish I could just buy it.

I rented this dress for my company's holiday gala and it was a hit. I felt comfortable all night and liked the look of the cowl back.

My only complaint was that the arms didn't really let you lift up your arms or use them fully - it was pretty restricting. Also, the back went a lot lower than when I had tried it on before, so we had to get quite creative with a bra.
