This was a beautiful dress that fit like a glove. As other reviews have noted, it runs a bit small. I'm usually a 4-6 and the 6R was just right. Got compliments all night and felt great! Pretty comfy, though not the most stretch. Challenging to walk up stairs but can pull it up.

I am 5'3, 139 lbs and the length of the 10P was perfect with a 1 inch heel. Fabric doesn't give. Standing and dancing was more comfortable than sitting. Loved the dress!

Beautifully photographed. Very form fitting. I generally wear a 0, but I wore the 2. I could have easily worn the 4. I could not bend over to pick things up off the floor, but that's the price of beauty sometimes! Length worked well with 5 inch heels.

Every gown I tried on in stores this season was either size 4R or 6R, so I was surprised when I ordered this one in both of those sizes and neither fit. However, the dresses actually arrived a day earlier than they were expected and I called immediately for the 8L and 10L (just in case, since the 4 and 6 seemed not to have a huge difference) and the replacement dresses arrived the very next morning when the original dresses had been expected! So literally no stress at all and the 8L ended up being absolutely gorgeous; hugging me in all the right places. It was especially glamorous with the Nicole Miller Accessories Maple Leaf Necklace & Ella Carter Rylan Earrings which I also rented!

I usually wear a 2 but I wore the 0R because it fit a little better in the hips. The bottom of the dress is really great the way it flows. I'm slim but not ruler straight so this dress hugged in the right places. It's a very elegant dress and fits nicely. If you are a little heavier in the hips, I'd go up a size. I went down a size because my normal dress size is 2. Overall, great dress and it arrived a day before it was supposed to which was awesome!

I normally wear a size 4-6 but due to the tightness in the hips wore a 8R.

There were no reviews on this dress, so I had to rely on the product description notes for sizing recommendations. It suggested sizing up one size. I did end up having to wear the size 8, although my normal dress size is a 6. The dress does not stretch at all, but it was still very comfortable and easy to move around in. This is my second time renting from RTR, and I'm still amazed at the ease and convenience of the process. I originally wanted a different dress, but it was out of stock so this dress was my second choice. I ordered the dress on Thursday around 2:00 pm, and it arrived at my door Saturday morning at 10:45 am. My event was at 6:30 pm Saturday night and RTR promised me the dress would be delivered by noon. I have to admit I was a tiny bit nervous about the dress arriving on time, but RTR hasn't disappointed yet. Both my rental experiences have been perfect!

PRO's: Great fit. Great material. CON: People kept stepping on the train.

This dress hugged me like a glove. Thankful for the free back up size as I had to go with the 4r vs my normal 2r. I got many compliments and loved the classic black for my formal function.

This dress was absolutely stunning and certainly true to size. The mermaid cut is snug all the way to right above the knee though and the fabric has no give at all. When I sat it was hard to lean forward or breathe in and if I had needed to use the restroom, the whole dress would have had to come off. Beautiful gown - not sure I would recommend sizing up though unless you're busty. I've got a small bust and it fit perfectly. A bigger size would have just been big ..

Rented this gown for a black tie wedding- it was perfect for the event and I received many compliments! It does have a train which got tricky on the dance floor and it ran a little small in the bust but overall a beautiful dress.

Runs small, but backup size didn't give me much of a figure. Overall a beautiful dress I would rent again.

This gown was absolutely exceptional for my daughter's black tie wedding. The length for me was perfect in 3" heels. I did require a NuBra to give my girls some lift. The material of the dress was silky and the bottom was flowy and flouncy. I loved walking in it!! The bodice does not have any give and one piece of the boning did poke me a tiny bit during the evening. For me, it was not too tight, but I do have a very small frame. Also, the train did get stepped on from time to time. All that being said, I felt like a princess in this gown. It received so many compliments that I lost count and several people told me later on that it was a 'head-turner'. I kept it simple with diamond bracelet and dangle earrings and let the dress do the rest. It worked!! Because of an issue with my 2nd dress option, Rent the Runway gave me 2 more dresses to try. I actually chose one of those to wear to the wedding. This was my 3rd choice and ended up being THE ONE! I highly recommend!!

This is my first RTR experience and this dress was exactly what I wished it would be for a black tie wedding at The Plaza Hotel in NYC. I LOVED it! It's definitely a bit snug but it holds you in perfectly. I recommend wearing a smoothing undergarment to eliminate any lines. I'm 5'6 and wore 3 1/2 heels and the dress grazed the floor. I received many compliments throughout the night but the best was from my 6 year old son who said "WOW mommy!" when he saw me come out of my bedroom :) I would definitely rent this dress again!

I wore a size bigger than I usually wear and this dress was still a little snug. I'd recommend going up a size or two especially if you are big busted.

Perfect dress - fits really well! Beautifully touches the ground in front and longer in the back. It was a little long on me with 3 inch heels so purchased 4 inch and that really helped with the length.

The fit was perfect. Im 5'7 and was a little iffy about renting the regular and not long, but it was absolutely perfect. It also gave me curve appeal which os nice considering I have very small hips.

Spanx shorts are a must with this dress!

This dress definitely runs small. Normally I am a size 8, however the upper body part of the dress just wouldn't zip up all the way without me going up to a size 12, which fit like a 10. The dresses I originally ordered were both two small and after speaking with RTR, my replacement dresses arrived the next day. Overall, this was a great experience! And I will be using RTR for next years gala.

I wore this dress to a black tie charity gala that my husband's work sponsored. I was a little nervous to rent a dress because at 5'0" almost everything needs to be altered to be "wearable," however this dress was the perfect length when paired with my 4" heels. I had some trouble receiving all three dresses that I had ordered (two never shipped, the third shipped in the wrong size), but the RTR consultant who helped me over the phone overnighted me 3 new dresses that arrived the day of my event.

Wore this for a red carpet movie premiere. It was the hit dress of the night. Strangers stopped me on the street and at the after party. Runs small and there's absolutely no give with the material. Zipper is awful, like all Badgley Mischkas. But I'm happy I was able to squeeze myself into the smaller size, as it accentuated my curves and felt very sexy. Couldn't be happier with this dress. <3

I love this dress so much. I ordered three and picked this one. I got so many compliments on it. It DOES run pretty small. It's made to be form fitting through the waist and hips. I am normally am 8. I got a 10R, and it was pretty tight!!!! There is plenty of room in the chest, so large chested ladies should be okay. Make sure to order up, and maybe even consider getting a backup size two sizes up. Otherwise it may be hard to breathe all night haha.

I ordered this dress as a last minute alternate due to a problem with the one I originally picked. I am so glad I did! This dress was beautiful. I ordered it in a petite length as I am 5'2. I did have to find very high heels to make it work, but it was definitely possible. Couldn't imagine wearing the regular length. I thought it was very flattering and it felt dressy without being over the top. There was a little wire on the top of the dress that stuck out and was poking me, otherwise no problems!

I initially didn't think I was going to get this dress zipped up but with my husband's assistance it finally did zip. The fabric doesn't have a lot of give and it fit tight but I prefer strapless dresses to be tight so I'm not pulling it up all night long. The 2L length was perfect on me (I'm 5'8" and wearing 2.5" heels). The shapely silhouette of this dress for better or worse will accentuate any curves and it fit me like a glove. The side bow adds just a little touch of something different but not obnoxiously so and it's not as obvious as it seems in the RTR photos of this dress. I received compliments all night long in this dress - and felt so glamorous wearing it!

I loved this gown! I could have never found something like this where I live at a reasonable price, so I'm so thankful for RTR! I ordered the 4R and 6R. I went with the 4 because the 6 made my hips look way bigger. It was a bit snug- not a dress to wear if you want to eat a ton of food. However, no bra was necessary, and some Spanx kept everything nice and smooth.

I rented this dress for my husbands Marine Corps Birthday ball! I absolutely loved how classy it was! I'm 5'0 and ordered the regular length based on how high my heels were, and it was still about 3 inches too long for me. I'd definitely order the petite length next time! I got so many compliments on this dress and I love how it complimented my husbands uniform!

This was my back up dress as I was afraid my first choice wouldn't fit (the backup size wasn't available for the first dress), I am so happy I got this one as it was perfect! It does run small and I had to wear the larger size, but it looked great. (Order up one size than your regular) It is tight in the mid section but after a little bit it gets better! I am 5'8 and wore 3 inch heels and the long was still perfect. I received many complements and the dress looked great!

Rented this for a formal wedding. Was scared about the size but it fit beautifully. A little long but with 2in heels I was able to make it through the night.

I rented this for a black tie gala, and I could not have been happier with the dress! Amazingly flattering and surprisingly comfortable, even without stretch. I did have to size up from my usual 4 to an 8. The 4 I ordered originally was VERY tight across the chest, and I'm only a 36A! The 6 was not available so I got the 8, and it fit perfectly. The length in the regular dress was perfect - I'm 5'4" and wore 4" heels. Love, love, love this dress!

The dress fits snug in the bust and the hips and a tad loose in the mid section, which was great for when I needed to sit down. I wore with 4" inch heels and the length was perfect. The train did get stepped on a bit, but I learned to gather up the side of the dress when I walked to prevent that. The dress has some boning and the wires were poking through a bit. I managed to bend the ends away from my body so it wasn't poking me. I did not need to or wear a bra with this dress. I would order this dress again.
