I rented this skirt for my engagement pictures. It was the perfect mix of something classy, modern, and whimsical. I am usually a size 6, but the size 4 was more flattering. Since the skirt is so fluffy, i recommend going down a size. My pictures turned out beautiful! I would definitely recommend this skirt to anyone looking for the perfect statement piece for a special occasion!

I have NEVER had more compliments on an outfit then this one. I got compared to Taylor Swift and told I was very Sex in the City. Everyone loved it and I felt amazing. The fit was perfect (it did have a bit of give with an elastic waist - longer than I was expecting but I'm only 5'2). I'm so glad the stylist recommended this look. Perfection!!

Since I got a 2nd free size for the crop top, I wasn't able to for the skirt so I had to take a gamble that the 8 would fit. I'm normally a size 8 but I found the skirt to be a little roomy even. It has an elastic waistband though so I would order your true size and not size up. It went so well with the gold crop top and I was able to wear it at my natural waist and only show a flash of skin. Would definitely order this silhouette again!

The fit is very true to size. I had no problems at all with this skirt. I chose to wear it with a light sweater and a statement necklace instead of the cropped gold top that is usually paired with it. Overall I was really happy with my look. Perfect for an after holiday party!

This skirt is fantastic. It's true to size (and even if it ran a tad small, the waistband is elastic, which always helps!) and quite comfortable. I'm very short, so on me it came to my ankles, but I liked that look. It's not itchy or too heavy. It does get a little static clingy though, so that's something to keep in mind. I got compliments on it all night long!

I fell in love with this NYE outfit. It was so stunning and comfortable. I didn't want to take it off when trying it on the day before! I received endless compliments all night, especially on the skirt! It was my favorite piece of the outfit and gave me the Carrie Bradshaw moment I always wanted. I normally wouldn't go for a midriff bearing outfit, but this one was too beautiful to pass up and the high midriff even worked for a curvy girl like me! The risk was worth it because I genuinely felt gorgeous and confident the whole night.

I recommend getting your size and a size down in this skirt, only because with the crop top, I didn't want to be worrying about the skirt falling too low all night. The top band has some stretch as well.

This is the most amazing tutu. It was very hard to send back and I'm already looking for where I can buy one. This skirt is very easy to wear. I received so many compliments that night and just felt like a rock star ballerina.

I rented this for a NYE party at a DC speakeasy. The tulle skirt was almost too thick and full, even as a 5'8" lady in high heels. The skirt also has an elastic waist, just as a fit FYI. All in all the outfit was very flattering, and the exposed midriff (my first since I was a preteen in Mississippi mooning over tube tops in Walmart) didn't make me feel self conscious at all.

Sorry I didn't get a better picture. This outfit is great - needs minimal jewelry cause it's already blingy enough! I think it runs a little small, as I am usually a 4. Size 6 was a perfect. I'm 32D, 5"5 almost 130 lbs - generally smaller in the torso and I'm bigger in the legs, so I really feel that depending on the size of your own midriff, you may want to size up one.. I really loved this outfit! It was special. I just regret that we didn't take more pictures! Suprisingly comfortable for sequins - usually they tend to scratch, but this dress was made well enough that it remained comfortable, even around the arms and neckline. Skirt and top are separate, so don't forget to order them separately (I made that mistake, but RTR helped me fix it right away and even waived the overnight shipping! Thanks, by the way, RTR!

Fit was true to the chart. I wear a 2 or a x-small/small. I ordered a 2 and a 4, but the waist was perfect on the 2. The hem comes just above the ankle. I was worried that it might be too puffy at the hips, but the fabric lays well that it doesn't make you look disproportionate. Overall, totally great!

I rented a size 10 due to it being the only size available in the store. I belted it in order to fit around my waist. I received so many compliments on Thanksgiving with this look. Paired it with a pair of combat boots to dress it down for family.

Not much difference between size 6 and size 8 skirt. Fits well and is comfortable to wear.

I can't say enough about this whole outfit. I adored it. The skirt was perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect. True to size, comfortable and beautiful. I got so many compliments, definitely a must-rent. If you're shorter like me, I recommend wearing sky high heels to elongate the look. I wore 5" Louboutins and it made the length perfect.

I absolutely adored this whole outfit but the skirt made dancing all night so much more fun! Super comfortable and absolutely show-stopping together with the crop top! Length was a little longer on a small frame like mine but still able to show off the shoes & ankles. I was surprised with how non-restrictive the top of the skirt is - the band is elastic with a clasp and zipper but it wasn't tight at all on my waist. I wouldn't say it "runs large" I just had some extra wiggle room I wasn't expecting, not a negative though! Naturally the skirt does catch on sharp objects - including the crop top - so just be careful when headed to the bathroom! I honestly cried a little to return this outfit it was so amazing together & absolutely perfect for a fun wedding or NYE out on the town!

This is such a fun skirt!!!!! The elastic band made the dress stretchy and fit slightly larger than I was expecting. (I wore a size 4 and am typically a 4 or 6) In the end it worked out fine but I had to wear it a little higher to a) fit and stay up & b) because the shirt I wore fit shorter than expected. In a slightly smaller size I would've probably never returned the dress!

this skirt is breezy and cute and comfortable, but the elastic waist might be a little unflattering sometimes. i loved it but there were a couple little tears in mine when i got it. the length would be awkward if worn with anything other than heels. overall it was really great though i recommend it

This skirt fits pretty true to size, however I opted for the size 6 since it was looser on my waist and more comfortable with the crop top. Would've worn the 4 if I wore a different top. The skirt it much longer than I expected but works great with heels! I'd be careful wearing this to an event with a lot of people because the tulle easily can get caught when you have people crowded around you on NYE!

I felt kinda ridiculous in this thing. I wanted to love it but it was a little witchy. I carry all of my weight in my hips/butt. While the elastic band made my waist look teeny tiny there was just too much volume in my booty/ hip area. It wasn't doing me any favors so back it went.

This is my second encounter with rent the runway clothes. The first time, nothing fit AT ALL and I couldn't wear them. This skirt fit fine but I am way too short -- (5'6" -- for it to look festive and elegant. When I put it on, hoping to wear it with boots and a sparkly top to my own 50th birthday party, I looked like a toddler dressing up for a tea party with her stuffed animals. So, instead, I wore it with hiking boots and jeans on my birthday hike instead. That was quite fun.

I've used my membership during quarantine to rent really fun pieces, and this has been my favorite of them all... super dramatic & feminine. Paired here with a white ribbed turtleneck crop top & white/ black cap tie YSL pumps... but I think would be equally stunning with white sneakers & a fitted white tee, or a black cami & strappy black sandals. Will definitely rent again... another badgley mischka stunner!

I rented this skirt for my engagement photos and I'm so glad I did! I wanted something classic, eye-catching and black, and this certainly delivered! It channels both Audrey Hepburn and Carrie Bradshaw at the same time. A great mix of classic and modern. I can wear between a 0 - 4 (mostly 0 or 2) depending on the designer, and based on reviews I chose a 0 and 2. I went with the 2 because while the 0 fit they looked almost exactly the same, and it was a hot day so I didn't want to become uncomfortable after an hour or two of taking photos. The 2 fit great on my waist. I wanted it to fit higher rather than lower, and it did.

Fit was great. I could have worn this with any number of tops I own. I love black and this was perfect for a winter wedding.
