I rented this for my 30th birthday. The party theme was "saying goodbye to my roaring 20s" and this dress was perfect when styled with some of my own accessories. It could easily be worn for a non-Gatsby event. I'd rent again or buy! Non-stop compliments and photographs so well! Noticeable for all the right reasons.

I rented this for my 27th birthday. The entire dress has sequins which make it a little heavy. So it's perfect if the weather is a little colder. The sequins didn't scratch me at all. Overall I really like this dress!

I love this dress. I had rented it before in navy blue and got it in gold for my sons bar mitzvah party. Hard to wear a bra because the opening in the back but I made it work. Fits beautifully and is just such a stand out of color in a sea of black.

I loved this dress! It was perfect to wear to a fundraiser last night and I felt like it made it stand out but in such a classy way! I felt comfortable and confident in the dress! I ended up wearing the smaller size than I expected too ( normally wear a 6 but the 4 was a much better fit)! I would rent this dress again in a heart beat!

The only thing is I would say is that it does run a tad smaller than usual wear. There is no elasticity in this dress so it would be best to order one size bigger just in case. Aside from that it was a good first time renting and will do it again :)

I rented this to wear for my friends birthday party where the invite said "sequins encouraged, glitter required". The back opening isn't bra friendly for all bra straps. For a smaller busted girl like me, the overall shape of the dress it better suited with a little bit of cup. The dress was long enough so I didn't feel self conscious (I'm 5'11) I would rent this again! Tons of compliments!

I had ordered a 14 and 16, but went with the 14 for the event. It was still a little loose up top, but nothing I couldn't work with. I paired the dress with a fun denim jacket for the cocktail hour, and then took the jacket off for the remainder of the reception/dancing. It was the perfect party dress and I didn't have any issues with rubbing on the insides of my arms from the sequins. I had to change course with my initial bra choice because of the way the back is open/constructed, so opt for a lower bra. This dress made me confident while keeping me comfortable!

It made me look a little thick in the middle but it was my size, I should have found a belt. Perfect to dance and twirl in.

The dress fit perfectly and I got compliments galore. I did have one mishap when my earring got caught on my shoulder sequins, but other than that, I had no issues with the dress.

This dress fit like a dream. I said it runs large, but really I'm between a size 2 and a 4, so sizing down for this worked for me. The dress's material is incredibly luxurious feeling, and the skirt feels like a ballerina skirt, so much fun to twirl in! The sequins made it a little bit itchy under my arms, but honestly it wasn't something I was thinking about all night. I'm tall and the length on the dress was perfect, not too long, but definitely not too short. Would highly recommend this dress to anyone who is looking for a statement dress!

I love this dress! It was fun, comfortable, perfect for dancing! I was super picky when choosing a dress for this occasion, and I was not disappointed. Got compliments on it all night. Was told I was the best dressed in the room (800 people or so for our dental prom)

I loved this dress! It was perfect for my prom. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived at my house a couple days early, and the 0 fit perfectly! I had ordered the 2 just in case (I am usually either a 0 or 2 depending on the brand), but it was too big. It wasn't itchy or uncomfortable at all, and wasn't really hot either! All in all, great experience, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a glamorous and fun look!

The dress fit well enough, it was little big but is one of those dresses that don't have to be skin tight so it was fine. It is hard to zip so expect that you will need an extra set of hands. I wore it with simple black shoes and a simple black clutch because the dress itself is such a show stopper. Similar to other reviewers feedback, you should wear your hair up or plan for it to get caught on the sequins. I got so many compliments on this dress! I am crossing my fingers I will have another event where I can wear it again.

First of all.. isn't my husband adorable... Loved this dress. I am always afraid of too much and this event was Black Tie Optional - hate that dress code as it always turns out to be a free for all. I figured I could go short and sparkly and probably be ok. The dress was great - the gold sequins are arranged in a rose pattern and the length and fit was perfect. Not too short but still elegantly sexy. The open back caused a bit of concern as I had to wear a low back bra - my girls aren't young enough to go without support and the no bar look resulted in a lack of a waist and sausage boobs. But once I figured out the right support garments, I was good to go! The shirt is semi full and fun to twirl in... comfortable for a sit down dinner and no spanx necessary. Everyone loved it and I received the most likes on my facebook page for this picture than anything else I had ever posted... WOW!

I am 5'3" and the dress fell right below the knee, which was a good length for me paired with heels. I wore the dress to a formal cocktail party and got compliments all night. I wore a regular bra and used one pin to hide it in the back and it worked just fine. The dress is a little heavy but easy to get used to, and the sequins do not irritate at all. Most reviews say the dress runs large but it was true to size for me! A friend of mine says the dress came alive at night; it was a great dress for dancing because it shines everywhere and twirls really well. I was so sad to send this dress back, it's so perfect!

The 6 was loose around my waist which was comfortable but maybe not as flattering as it could have been. I got tons of compliments and felt comfortable all night. This dress was beautiful! It got a lot of compliments and looked great at night and during the day. I wore this for my sweet sixteen downtown and had random people approaching me asking about the dress. The sequins scratch your arms a little bit nothing terrible. We walked around for hours and it was super comfortable. It was a little big but nothing noticeable. I really recommend this dress!

I wore this for my law schools barrister ball (law school prom). It was a masquerade theme, which explains the mask... I paired the dress with an up do, nude patten leather pumps and big gold/diamond earring. I also wore a tuxedo jacket to stay warm (which looked bad ass with the dress). The dress was comfortable and flattering and can be be worn for many occasions.

The dress is a gorgeous gold color, and was perfect to wear for someone like me who has a large chest, small waist and large hips. It highlighted everything that's wonderful about my body and I felt fabulous! My only complaint is that the sequins rubbed a little bit under my arms but that was no big deal. After having a baby I am a consistent size 6, but the reviews suggested the dress runs a little bit large and I ended up wearing the size 4, wahoo!

This was a great dress! The fit was exactly right and the length was great. All the sequins were in place and I do mean all - it was full sequins. It did not rub my arms at all and was comfortable for an all day wear. I would totally rent this again!

I rented this dress as a bridesmaids dress for a wedding wear we could pick our own dress. I rented the size 10, with a size 8 as a back up and the size 8 actually fit better. Love when that happens! Dress fits at the waist, so if you have a smaller waist, definitely get the smaller size as a back-up. The sequins are beautiful, such a great pattern. Love the cutout on the back. I wore a normal bra, with just a couple safety pins to secure the straps so they didn't slip out of place. I loved this dress. It was so much fun to dance in, it fit wonderfully, complimented my waist, skimmed over the hips, and was the perfect length, hitting right at the knee.. I got so many compliments throughout the night on this dress.

The fit was spot on! The one thing I would comment about is that the back cuts a little bit lower than expected, so we had to do some bra hiding, but it wasn't a big problem. I was also impressed that there was no under-arm irritation, which usually happens with sequins, even after wearing it all day. I was thrilled with the dress, the fit… everything!

This dress is gorgeous in person! The gold sequence is beautiful, albeit somewhat irritating under the arms. I wore this to a work event with a 20's gangster theme and it worked perfectly. So many people complimented the dress, which just makes a girl feel special! And also like I cheated somehow ;) This was my first experience with Rent the Runway and I will definitely do it again. I ordered a size 16w and 14w as my backup. Thank you to the other reviewers who said this dress runs large...it does! I wore the 14w and it fit just right. Others have said you cannot wear a normal bra because of the cutout, but I did and had not problems with straps showing. Although, I will say, you need a bra that does not have a wide or cut-in/angled shape across the shoulder blades. I would rent this dress again.

I LOVED this dress. I rented it for a NYE wedding and it was perfect. I received compliments all evening about how beautiful the dress was. I normally wear either a 4 or 6 but the 4 fit much better in this dress. There were a few flyaway threads but they were not noticeable to anyone but myself. I definitely recommend this dress!

Wore this for a New Year party and loved it. It definitely runs big, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The skirt is so fun to wear and the pattern is gorgeous. Also love the cut out in the back! Great dress!

It surprisingly ran a little big- didn't have to wear spanx which is nice. But fits very well. Rubs a little under the arms because of the sequins but overall LOVED the dress!

I think it runs a bit large. Though the 0 fit really well , it was a bit loose in the bust (not noticeably) but you can't wear a bra, so I wanted it to be a bit more snug. It's very comfortable and modest but still fun (worn to a work party). I was in retain of the length (knee) but with the right shoes was perfect.

This was a great dress to wear. I loved the fit, the arms did not fit tight like a similarly styled badgley mischka I rented like I was afraid of. I belted the waist with an elastic sequin belt to cinch it in a little more and make my waist look smaller. My problem with fit it I have a small waist but larger arms and hips so if you have that same problem, an elastic sequin belt has served me well with several RTR, and specifically badgley mischka dresses. I loved that the sequins were in a unique and different pattern. The color is a darker toned gold IRL, not a bright gold. After going back and forth with various color combos, I do think black shoes are the best match with this dress :)))

I picked this as a back up and am so glad that I did! It is so flattering and much more sparkly in person. I got a million compliments! The fit is perfect, and I was afraid it would be small because I have a lot of issues with dresses being snug along my bust line. This was amazing and his all the bumps you don't want to see. I loved not having to wear shapeware and being cozy all night!

This dress is amazing! I rented it for a wedding in the Sierra foothills in November - a combo of indoor and outdoor. - the sequins did not bother my underarms at all - fits true to size. I'm a curvy size 12 and it fit amazingly well - thick fabric allows you to wear without a NuBra if you want (you can't wear a traditional bra due to the back) - thick material also means I wouldn't recommend for a warm summer event. - length was perfect for me, hit right at the knees -- I'm 5'8" - had fun spin for dancing I paired with black wedge Cole Haan pumps, and drop earrings (also RTR).

I was a little concerned that the waist was going to be tight, since a lot of formal dresses usually are but there was plenty of room to move without it looking too big. I was extremely comfortable the whole night even though I was wearing itch sequins and a dress I had never even tried on prior to purchasing. I received a lot of compliments in this dress which made me feel glamorous! My only complaint is that I would have liked for the waist to come up a little bit higher. I'm 5'9" so if your short this dress may not work as well on you. I usually wear a size 18 in dresses and pants so I also got one size up just in case the 18 didn't work, which it did. In fact, next time I'll probably rent one size smaller.

I wore this for a work holiday party. I usually wear a 2. The 2 and 0 both fit, but I wore the size 0 because it was more fitted in the waist, although the waist hit higher than in the model photos. The 2 sat a little lower which I liked, but the waist was too loose which didn't work with the open back. I loved the length of the dress, and the sequins gave the dress a nice weight and so much sparkle! The open back was particularly beautiful. Be aware, you will need to wear your hair up because it will get tangled in the sequins - and you need to show off the back! I was impressed with how well cared for the dress is - I did not see any pulls or missing sequins. It was so fun to wear and I received a lot of compliments! I paired with Ella Carter Riley Earrings, which are beautiful as well!

I got compliments on this dress all day and still do when people see pictures. Only downside was the sequins chaffed my arms underneath.. Other than that so happy with dress and how it looked.

I loved this dress! I wish I could have kept it. The dress is such high quality and the sequins under the arms aren't irritating. It was the perfect dress for a formal gala. The open back makes for a nice touch for a conservative neckline. This dress would be flattering on anyone. Would absolutely rent this dress again!

Dress fit well, but I had also gone to one of the Rent the Runway locations and tried the size 10 in person. The 10 fit okay, but the 12 gave me a little bit more room. I typically am a size 12/14 in dresses so the fact that I could wear the 10 told me that it tends to run a little large. Pros: I received a lot of compliments on the dress and felt pretty comfortable throughout the night. Based on the description I thought I wouldn't be able to wear a regular strapless bra with this dress, but I ended up being able to use one without any problems. Cons: The zipper can be a bit difficult to manage on your own. Luckily, I had someone help me. Overall, the dress was great. I would definitely rent it again or even try the one in blue.

Fit was great - fitted around the top and loose at the bottom, allowing me to dance and be comfortable all night.

I wore this dress for a charity event. The colors were spot on as in the picture and it was gorgeous! It was a little large on top but otherwise fit very well. I was worried about scratching my arms with all the sequins but it wasn't a problem. The zipper did get stuck a little was ultimately fine after few tugs. Loved the dress and got a lot of compliments!!!
