I rented this for my client/friend for engagement photos I took of her. The sparkle was so pretty in the photos and she had a lot of fun wearing this dress!

Wore this for a New Years Eve black-tie optional wedding and it was a great dress for this type of occasion. Dress was a little bit heavier than I was expecting. The sparkles/sequins rubbed a little bit against my arms at first, but got used to as the night went on.

This dress was amazing! It was so comfortable the entire night. The dress definitely runs large because I usually wear a 20 or 22. So happy I ordered a size down for the back up dress.

I got tons of compliments on the dress! It fit wonderfully, and it was the best first experience with RTR. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful or flattering dress.

This dress was so much fun! I wore it for a black tie event at work, whose theme was essentially "On Fire". Even though it was cocktail length and blue, I got a TON of compliments on it, even in a sea of stunning gowns. The sequins pick up just enough light to really make you sparkle, and the blue and dark silver add a nice subtle depth. The fit was overall true to size. I'm generally a pretty solid 10 and around a 38C, and I worried a little bit about whether I should go up or down a size, because some reviews commented that the top was a little loose. It was just a smidge looser up top than I'd want, and while I might've still squeezed into an 8, the fit on the 10 was perfectly comfortable and not frumpy. I felt great all night! The zipper was a bit sticky, but with a firm hand it worked out fine. I wore a normal bra that had a low band and fairly wide-set straps and it was covered, but it was a narrow window -- definitely be ready to pin some straps just in case. I'm 5'6'' and a half and it hit around my knees. Sequins did get scratchy by the end of the night, but that was my only complaint. In summary, the dress was awesome, comfortable, and made me feel like a sparkly mermaid princess. So worth it! Wore with Lulu Frost "Rise" stud earrings.

I went braless so that no straps would show from the back. The front of the dress is thick enough to cover any cold weather nipping.

I rented this dress for an annual New Year's Eve party that is cocktail attire only. The dress fit perfectly (true to size) and was slimming - it made me look skinnier than I am. The cut and open back are very flattering. The dress is also very well made because unlike other sequin dresses I've worn, I wasn't losing blue sequin on the floor all night long. I got numerous compliments on how beautiful the dress was. I thought it was a great balance between glamour and elegance, not too in your face shiny but definitely stood out. It reminded me of the famous singers from Motown Records. I paired it with SUPER sheer silver hose and silver, sparkly wedges. Overall 100% loved everything about this dress!

The sequins definitely scratched up my arms as I danced 2014 away but it was worth it. Tons of compliments and I felt like a million bucks! Fit was great, true to size. A perfect NYE dress.

This dress was true to size, and despite what RTR says, I was able to wear a regular bra. It was the perfect above the knee length and caught the light at every angle. It was such a forgiving silhouette, exactly what I needed 3 days after my Christmas cookie binge. I was sad to return this.

I loved the dress and received so many compliments. The fitted waist was very flattering, and the skirt was very comfortable and flattering on my hips. The open back added just the right amount of sexy for a work party. I was nervous about the cap sleeves because I am self-conscious about my arms but they hit in just the right spot and were also very flattering. I probably could have gone down one size but the 12 was very comfortable. The sequins didn't bother me at all and I wore the dress for 14 hours! Not wearing a bra or a backless bra isn't an option for me, so I ended up lengthening my bra straps so I could tuck the band in under the open back. This worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this dress for a party or a wedding!

As others have said, the dress was a little longer than it looks on the model, but hit me just above the knee. I usually wear a size 2 in clothing, but often wear a zero in dresses and gowns. The zero was perfect! I didn't have any issues with the dress feeling heavy or rubbing on my arms. I felt so glamorous all night! The length balanced out the cut out in the back perfectly.

Rented for my company holiday party. Perfect mix of work appropriate and holiday fun. Wore a 4 which is my normal size and was very comfortable the whole evening. Felt like I could eat and drink and still breathe!

As the last single (straight) girl in my family, it's super important that I look nice at weddings to show that hey, I'm doing just fine without a wee rock on my ring finger. So I rented this dress for my cousins wedding and it was a stunner. Super classy and just a little bit sexy with the cut out on the back. Compliments galore from the family, but the reason I gave this four stars is that I couldn't wear a bra (luckily I'm not so well endowed that this was a problem) so bustier gals might have some issues, and by the end of the night I had to keep my arms away from my body as the beading was starting to chafe. Runs true to size and fell to just below my knees. Thank you RTR, for keeping the pity eyes at bay, and helping to show my family how fabulous I can be!

First dress did not fit correctly. I must have an abnormally large rib cage. :) Spoke to Alex & she sent this beautiful Badgely Mischka cocktail dress. I was the 1st to wear it. Still had tags on it! I loved the 2nd dress better than the first. I normally wear a 10/12 in street clothes, so I knew I would wear larger in formal attire. 14 fit perfect. I would have maybe liked the skirt to be a little shorter, b/c I am only 5'1", but the longer skirt gave it a very Audrey Hepburn quality. Overall a great dress, got compliments all night!

I went to a formal event. The dress was very pretty but it runs large. I wear a 16 and a 14 would of been great. The cutout in the back makes wearing a bra a challenge. There is a lot of sequins but it is not heavy to wear.

Tried the 14 & 16 and honestly could hardly tell the difference in the sizes. Went with the 16 because there was a smidge more room up top and I'm a 36DD so I can generally use the extra room. Dress was really comfortable, wore a regular bra and just pinned it to stay below the back opening (love that detail of the dress!), and also liked where the length hit since I'm pretty tall (it was a few inches above my knees). Sequins definitely scratched a bit under the arms but I got used to it and didn't have any marks. It fit great and looked exactly as described - I liked the dress overall but it didn't totally wow me once on, and I wouldn't rent it again.

This dress is gorgeous but does run a bit large. I wear a 16 normally and could have sized down. I am 5'5" and curvy, this dress was a tad long, hit below my knees. It was a beautiful color, so comfortable and I got a ton of complements. The open back requires a low back bra but not a big deal. Loved this dress, would recommend!

I absolutely loved this dress. Originally I had ordered a 16 as my primary dress and an 18 as my back up and both were WAY too big. I'm typically a 16 and ordered a 14 for my formal. The sequins were irrigating by the 6th hour (lol) but the rest of the night was fine! The dress is longer than the picture but I got 15+ compliments on this dress. It's perfect for a formal occasion :)

Pros: The most important (kind of), I could totally wear a regular bra with this! I hate wearing strapless bras when I know dancing will be involved, so this was a huge plus! It really sparkles but not in a garish way. Like you get attention, but it's classy attention. The fit was great, armholes were not too tight and landed at a good place on my arms, fit great across the bust, length was perfect.. Cons: The dress is really heavy, feels like 3 lbs.! I got used to this, but something to keep in mind. Also, the sequins did bother my underarms, even before we started dancing. I didn't have marks or anything afterwards, it was just a bit annoying. The big kicker is that I wanted to wear my hear in a messy ponytail for the event, but my hair was getting snagged and being ripped out after walking around my house for 5 minutes! I believe it was a combination of the sequins and the hook-and-eye closure at the top. I ran out of time so decided to wear it down and to one side in the front. It still snagged often, but not enough to impact the fantastic evening I had at SupperclubLA for the release of LA Travel Magazine. We took loads of pictures that night, and I feel like in this dress, I stole the spotlight. It stood out, even when taking shots with some of the cast members of Vanderpump Rules, and I featured the look on my blog, Dressedfortime.com. I would definitely rent it again to wear to a NYE party or a cocktail-like event.

Fits a little looser than expected but the next size down was too tight. Very flowy and a blast to dance in! The sequins rub under the arm a little bit which is why I deducted a star but overall a great dress! So sad I had to return it!!!

This dress was cute, which is not my normal style. I'm more of a sheath girl, but my first option was caught in a snowstorm, so RTR overnights me this. I normally wear a 10, which did for me, but my torso is a little longer, so I went with the 12 to allow the waistline to hit me at the right spot. The underarms were a little scratchy, but I quickly forgot about that as the drinks started coming to the table.

wore this to a friend's black-tie-optional wedding. my original dress was returned to RTR damaged, so this was my back up. so pleased. incredibly comfortable with PLENTY of breathing room. the color and detail really made the dress stand out, and it was perfect for dancing the night away! the zipper was a little fussy above the waist, and there was a little problem where the sequined layer was pulled away from the bottom layer, so my mom quickly fixed it with a safety pin. but overall LOVED IT. I would rent it again, no doubt!!

I was able to go a size down from my normal size on this dress. It was very glamorous, but the sequence was a little uncomfortable under the arms. I wore a backless bra that had side adhesive and that worked well. I wish I had a better picture of the back - it was my favorite part! The dress goes below the knees, so I would recommend a taller heel - I wore 4" silver heels and they were great!

This was the perfect dress for a formal event I attended this month! I wanted something classy while still being fun and young (the crowd was a bit older and included a number of servicemen and women). I got numerous compliments from guests about how beautiful the dress was and I felt comfortable the whole time. The only thing that was missing from the dress were pockets - but the back detailing and intricate sequin design made up for it. Would definitely recommend!

I ended up ordering a few dresses for a December 20th wedding, and RTR had to send me a bunch of replacements due to damage to the dresses I originally selected. I tried all of them on so that I could review them. This was the dress I initially ordered to wear to the wedding, and someone had damaged the size I needed, but they were able to send it to me in a different size. The 14W ended up being too big, and the sleeves sat a little too high on my shoulders, so I would definitely recommend sizing down. This dress is great if you're looking for something that's fancy, but don't want to go floor length. Also if you hate spanx, this dress is great- it hides at the hips, gives you full coverage at the bust, and has a fun cutout back. There definitely was ample room in the chest for my DD Cup, maybe even more than was necessary. I also had a mishap with my knees, and didn't want them showing at the wedding, and couldn't put tights on, so I was surprised when I put on the dress, and it actually hit below my knee. I think because the model's on RTR are about 5'7"+, and I'm only 5'5". This is certainly one of the more fun dresses that I've rented off of RTR. I love Badgley Mischka as well- All of the dresses tend to stretch, be comfortable, and have a really flattering cut, while still being fun and flirty. I hate my arms in cap sleeves, so I probably wouldn't rent this again, but I did really love the dress!

I wore this to a wedding on New Year's Eve, and the sparkle was perfect for the event! I got a lot of compliments on it. And loved the keyhole back. I'm on the shorter side, so the dress hit just below my knee. I didn't love that at first - I thought it looked better on the taller model. But like I said, I got a lot of compliments, so overall was happy with it! I got the 8 as a backup size and that one was too big. And because of the material, too big made me look larger than I am. The 6 was a tiny bit snug, but it worked!

I loved this dress & would wear it again in a heartbeat. I received many compliments at the NYE wedding I attended in it. Loved the open back. My only issue was the sequins rubbed against my underarms & was uncomfortable. I was able to wear a normal bra & just safety pinned the back of it to the bottom of the opening in the dress to make sure it didn't rise up & show. I had to do a reading during the wedding ceremony & wanted to make sure to have a dress that wasn't too revealing for a church, but still fun & sassy enough for the NYE reception. It was versatile & perfect for the occasion.

I ordered the dress about 3 weeks before the event -- wish I had ordered it sooner to ensure I could receive more than one size. I usually wear a size 12 or 14, but wasn't sure how the fit would be (I've never wore anything by this designer). So, I went with the 14W. It was a little too big -- 12R or 14R would have worked. Otherwise, the dress is lovely. I felt glamorous and received tons of compliments. I'm not usually a sequin kind of lady, so it was nice to wear the dress for a special night out and return it. I was also happy that no one else at the party was wearing my dress.

Wore this to a formal NYE event. Dress runs large. I usually wear anywhere from a 10-14 in dresses. Ordered the 14 and 16 for the event (it was a new addition to RTR and there were no reviews)... Both dresses were a bit large, and I could have gone down to a 10 most likely. The top of the dress was big and felt loose, but since I didn't have to worry about cleavage falling out, wasn't the end of the world. Dress is beautiful! Hard to see the pattern in photos, but not as obvious as it was on the model. Also, it's a lot longer than shown on the model. Dress went down exactly to my knees. Material is thick but doesn't feel as heavy when on it. You can wear a regular bra, so long as you're crafty with fashion tape.. Would love to rent this style again in a smaller size!

I rented this for a wedding last weekend and it was perfect for the holiday season! It was true to size except for the length - it was definitely much longer than the usual rent the runway dresses I've had in the past (even with heels on). Also, the dress was a little heavy but I got used to it. The back of the dress is gorgeous and the detailing is beautiful. Overall, fun and beautiful dress!

I wore this dress to my boyfriend's Work Christmas Party. I loved the sparkle and thought it was super festive. The back of this dress is exceptionally beautiful and overall I was pretty happy with my choice. There were a few things that I wish I would have known though. 1) The dress is a lot longer than I expected it to be. I am tall and have long legs, and it still came down to my knees. 2) It fit great, but the zipper of my particular dress was extremely stiff. It took a lot of finesse and a helper to get it on and off. 3) I rented a pair of earrings to wear with it, but I ultimately decided to wear a sparkly necklace instead because I felt like it made the dress "pop" more. 4) I was dancing a lot throughout the night and the sparkles did cause some chaffing under my arms. It wasn't unbearable though and I honestly didn't notice until the next day. Overall, I really liked the dress. I would recommend it for a formal or festive occasion!

Dress is a bit big in the waist but great comfy fit overall. The sequin detail and pattern is exquisite! Wish I got a better picture of this dress. Beautiful open back and great shine. It's not super fitted so not figure flatter but not unflattering. It's just a fun party dress great for a work function or an event where you need to be less sexy but want to feel beautiful. I felt great in this dress. Could have worn the 10 for sure.

I loved the dress. It was for my friends wedding and she asked us to all wear navy and this gave just enough sparkle. The dress fit in the right way and hit just at my knee though I am a little shorter. The one thing I wasn't prepared for was the back of the dress. It has a beautiful cutout but I forgot a good bra with a low back. It definitely shows where a normal bra would sit. Overall very happy with the dress and everyone thought it was beautiful!

I absolutely loved wearing this sparkly, yet classy dress to my husband's military dinner! It was heavy, but not too heavy. I wore a long line bra with a low back and it worked great! So many compliments!

Second time I have rented this dress, only I did the blue instead of the gold. Love this dress and would wear it again and again if I owned it!

This is a really fun dress - it is super sparkly and the detail is beautiful. It is not too revealing (knee-length and high in the chest), which works well since the dress itself is quite flashy and attention-grabbing. I love the back -- I used double-sided tape to hold my strapless bra down just under the back line (otherwise it would pop up and show). The dress is heavy due to all of the sequins, and was perfect for a winter wedding on New Years Eve. It would probably be too heavy in the summer. It fit perfectly to size, was comfortable, and it didn't even rise up when I twirled so I didn't have to worry about flashing anyone on the dance floor! Highly recommend.

This dress was perfect for NYE! It is a little heavy, but If you wear the correct size you won't even notice. I ordered a 12 and 14... Usually wear a 14. The larger size was very frumpy with lots of extra fabric. I recommend sizing down. Would rent again! Maybe in another color

I had an excuse to wear sequins! I rented this dress in a 14 and 12. I run between those sizes after my two kids. The 12 fit good w room, I prob could have even fit into a 10. It was so comfy and flattering. Perfect length. I love all the BM dresses, its my second rental from the brand. I would size down for your free second size. I also have a larger rib cage and usually have a problem in the breast area w these dresses but it fit and I had room! Loved it, would wear again !

Wore this dress for a great gatspy theme party. It's very sparkily when the light hits it... i definitely stood out.
