5'6 140 lbs I rented This dress to Dj for an elegant yet whimsical hippie style wedding. The color scheme for the wedding was navy blue so this dress was absolutely perfect. I can be hard to find a dress to wear for this type of themed event and still look classy but this dress absolutely did the trick. It was very comfortable all night long I would definitely recommend. This dress fit really well - I wore the backup 4P rather than the 4R because of the length and because the underlying "sheath" in the 4P was a bit more comfortable. I loved the fabric and the color of this dress, as well as the back design. The front design was really pretty and got me lots of compliments, but I did have to tape to keep the ladies from falling out when I bent over or danced around. But overall a great comfortable dress that had a classic but feminine look!

Overall, this dress was ok. I felt pretty, but the fit was a little weird in spots. It's tight around the rib cage, and makes the chest area gap open because of it. I ended up going with the larger size because of it, but was still concerned you could see a lot of side boob. The back of the dress also gaps out. It made it look like I had wings. It did not lay flat on my back, and made me a little self conscious. Length wise was pretty decent. I'm 6'1, so length is always a bit difficult. I wore about a 1 1/2 inch heel, and the dress just touched the top of my feet.

It was a tiny bit small around my ribs and a tiny bit too large at my chest, I used fashion tape to try and help. Great quality dress, and I got lots of compliments on it. Especially loved the back.

The fit was true to size, very comfortable, and the open cutout on front and back were gorgeous! Everything stayed in place and I didn't have to worry about it at all during the night!

I rented the 2R & 4R and ended up wearing the 4.. I have athletic thighs so the inner lining was tight, but the flowy skirt on top masked that. I wasn't expecting such a low dip in the front, but the thicker material made not wearing a bra okay. Got tons of compliments all night and would definitely rent again!

I was sent this dress last minute since the original dress I ordered became unavailable. At first I was really nervous about this dress because of the cutout in the front and the open back but I ended up loving it so much. I used tape to keep the front closed. I did not need to wear a bra with this dress. My only complaint is that the dress was a little long, I kept stepping on it even in pretty tall wedges. Also, the bottom layer of the skirt was a little tight and kept bunching up but overall I loved the dress and would rent it again.

I was originally going the wear the 4 but when I tried on both sizes I decided the 2 fit a little better. This dress was so beautiful and it was the perfect classy dress for prom. I did have to use fashion tape but it stayed put all night. Rent the Runway is definitely worth using again!

I am 5'9 and wore heels and this dress was still dragging the floor. I would lean on the side of not getting the long. I had to get the 12 to fit my waist but the bust was a little big. Tape was definitely needed. Overall it was an amazing dress and I loved it.

It's perfect for my height, I'm 6'1 and the length hit the floor perfectly! I wouldn't recommend wearing heels with this dress at my height though. Super comfortable and I definitely stood out. I felt extremely elegant... I actually plan on renting this dress again for a wedding this upcoming summer!

I wore a 0R with heels (3 inch?). The twists and turns in the front were beautiful, and the back was amazing. Though I didn't need to wear a bra, I wore a sticky one anyway. I might recommend a plunge sticky bra for women with larger chests. The dress was a tad long, but it didn't really inconvenience me at all. It was beautiful!

This is a great dress for a black tie wedding. It's comfortable, not too fitted, but still gives you shape and is super flattering! I did need fashion/double stick tape for the front, but it was an easy fix and stayed all night. The open back is gorgeous without being revealing. I felt great, and could sit, eat, and dance all night in it! I got compliments all night!

The dress was amazing! The open back made it a little sexy but the long length made it feel princess like. I ended up going with the 6L because the 8L felt a little loose. The long size is very long! I am 5'9 and with 3 inch heels I still had to lift my dress up. It does have sort of a train so beware of people stepping on it! Besides that I am in love with this dress and wish I could keep it!

This dress was amazing. It was actually sent to me as a backup but it fit so well and I received so many compliments. I wore it for a law school ball and it was the perfect amount of formal and sexy. I did have to tape it a little bit in the front but that was easy and the back was gorgeous. The length was perfect for 4" heels.

The fit was absolutely perfect. It was a little long but I'm 5'2 and wore pretty tall heels. This dress is pretty backless just in case it doesn't show it in the photos. I was with a lot of elected officials and friends. This dress was the perfect blend of classy and elegant and it showed a little skin but not too reveling.

The dress fit very well. I felt it could've been tighter around the bust area...I'm a size 34C and it was a little loose. You have to use fashion tape to make sure nothing falls out...lol!

I had this as a last-minute add-on when I realized I wasn't into the dress I originally ordered. Man, was I glad I landed on this one, It was perfect, and (as always with RTR) I received tons of compliments. The best ones were about the unique keyhole opening in the front. With the right bra, it was easy to adjust for more or less cleavage. I would rent this one again!

Loved this dress! Was nervous about it being bra-challenged, but it ended up working out great. No bra was needed, and I didn't even need tape or nipple pads. I did end up using fashion tape at the top of the dress to keep it from gaping open too much though since it was for a work holiday event. The color is true to what you see on the screen - A beautiful navy. It is a very comfortable, flowy material. There is a lining that is more sheath/fitted, but not tight. I'm 5'6" and wore 4" heels. My feet showed a little bit, so my guess is this dress is perfect for a 5'8" total height (in the regular length). Much more low-maintenance dress than I imagined. Highly recommend!

Pros: Got so many compliments on it and it matched my boyfriend's military blues perfectly! The size 2R fit well but the 0R fit even better. I wore 4 inch heels with it and the length was good. The fabric is very forgiving when it comes to a post meal tummy. Cons: None really! Just recommend fashion tape as I don't have a large bust and I was worried something might show.

The dress fit well, although if you have a larger rib cage, it can be a bit tight. The material is really beautiful but can wrinkle easily, so if you are getting it shipped, be ready to gently steam it to release some of the wrinkles from shipping. Overall, I highly recommend it.

It wasn't too tight, but was tailored in all the right places to show off your shape! The flow of the skirt made it great for dancing and the navy color looks classy and goes with anything. it's an understated beauty of a dress.

This dress was stunning in person. I am 5'5" and the dress was a bit long on me, and the deep key hole might not work as well on women with larger busts.

I usually wear a 12L, but the "keyhole" gaped open on the 12. The 10 was slightly tight at the waist, but was much more modest (I still had to use medical tape as a bra). I had to wear flats in order for the dress to skim the floor, but other than that it is a gorgeous dress. I got several compliments throughout the night.

Wore this dress to a fall wedding. It flows so elegantly and really flattered my figure! It's simple, yet eye catching! Truly a gorgeous dress. I am 5'8" , pear shaped with wide hips, and have a 32A bust. I rented the 2R and 4R as my sizes because I was planning on wearing flats. I ended up wearing a very low heel (1-1.5") with the 2R dress, and it was barely off the ground! Since my chest is so small, I couldn't fill the bust of the dress so I had to pin the front opening to prevent it from opening when I leaned over. The hips were fitted, but it was still comfortable to sit and walk around. Really great dress, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a classy simple gown!

I absolutely loved this dress! I received a ton of compliments. The front of the dress was very low cut for my work event but I was able to use Hollywood tape to secure the dress from having any malfunctions. I already miss this beautiful navy dress!

I am usually a size 4 but 2R fit perfectly. A little long at the bottom without heels on though.

I got this as a last minute pick as my original dress was returned damaged. I was skeptical about the unique top but it looked really good! I had to tape it to my boobs otherwise a nip slip was sure to happen. It fit very well all over, even over my hips which are pretty big.

Overall, the dress was gorgeous and I received so many compliments throughout the night! Length: I ordered the 2L and 4R as there was so 4L available the day of my event. I'm 5'8" and the 4R was at my ankles when I put heels on and was even short with flats. I wore the 2L which was a little long with heels (the underlining was perfect, the overlay was long kind of like a train) so I had to hold that up while dancing but it wasn't a big deal. Bust: I'm a C and was a little worried about the no bra but with some double sided tape, it was perfectly fine. The 2 was tight enough that it kept everything together and I didn't have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions. I'm normally a 4 so I would recommend sizing down as the 4 was a little to baggy in the chest.

I didn't know what length to order so I went with the regular and it was too short! I was able to get the 4L within 20 hours or receiving the first dress! I ended up wearing the 4L and it was a perfect fit. The opening in the front was a little low but it was not a big deal at all and I was able to use fashion tape. I wore lower heels and the dress still dragged the floor, but not too long to deal with. I suggest if you are 5'7" or taller just go with the long! Overall i enjoyed the dress and it was easy and hassle free for the debutant! This company is great and I will for sure rent again!

This dress is very long! I am 5'9" and probably needed to wear a high heeled show to shorten it a bit. Fit great over all for being pregnant. Definitely need double sided tape to ensure it doesn't slip in the front. I would imagine the 6 would have been a better fit had I not been pregnant. Comfortable and classy. #wedding

I loved that the dress came with two different sizes. The dress was very comfortable ( this was me trying it on for the first time). I wore it to a holiday Christmas ball and got many complements on it. the dress was true to size. I am 5'7 and wore a 2L. With heels the dress was still touching the floor. I probably could of worn a two regular even with heels.

I wore this gown to my first Opera Opening Night as part of the staff. I needed a dress that stayed true to my age, body type, and style but was also conservative enough for a work event. I felt absolutely beautiful in this gown! It is not my usual first choice of color and style but I think it perfectly fit the profile of the evening. PRO's: I think the style and cut of the dress is flattering for every body type. There are ways around the low cut if you have a full bust; in my case I had to use 2 safety pins and some Hollywood tape to make sure that only the right amount of skin was showing. Normally, I would have probably used 1 safety pin and tape but I needed to remain a bit more conservative for this event. The length is as I expected it to be (everything is always long on me anyway). CON's: The only thing that I have to mention is for ladies like me, who have curvy hips. The slip on the dress stretches but is not relative to the chiffon overlay. So, in my case, I would have been a Size 4 were it not for the tightness of the slip. Even the 6 was a little snug. There is a stark contrast between the two layers of the dress, which may be deceiving for some when looking at pictures. The dress looks flowy but the slip will not be. I cannot really say anything negative about this dress, just a warning for fellow curvy girls. In general, this was my first experience renting from RTR and I was very nervous because I am not a one size girl. I can vary from size 2-8 depending on the dress, designer, style, fabric, etc... I am 100% satisfied with the experience and will be renting again soon. THANKS RTR!!

The dress runs true to size I originally got the dress and the top loop hole was ripped but could still fasten it with eye hook closure there were some holes at bottom hem but felt like no one would notice. Was a pretty color. I was a little self conscious with how open the front fell even with using fashion tape. But received compliments all night!!

Such an elegant dress! I wore this for a fancy date night to see Hamilton, after which we dropped into my boyfriend's formal work holiday party. Dress is on the longer side: I am just short of 5'6" and was wearing 4" strappy wedge heels, yet the outer fabric was still lightly grazing the floor. (Would not be a issue if you're slightly taller.) Overall, the dress was very comfortable and not at all revealing despite going braless. I felt sensual and classy!

The R length was perfect with 4 inch heels for my height. If I leaned forward, the fabric would buckle and make an opening on my chest. Nothing a little fashion tape couldn't fix (taped two sides together at base of chest) and wearing pasties to feel secure!

This was actually my backup dress to a November wedding, but I liked it better than the original. It fit nicely and I felt comfortable in it all night. The long was very long though, even for someone 5'9 and wearing 2-3 inch heels!
