Though it is not listed, don't shy away if you are curvy. I'm a full hourglass and this was roomy. Don't fret about the mesh back. I wore a low back strapless bra and it was never detected. Be prepared to be a mermaid!

Loved the dressed. There was an error in my initial order. I requested a size 14L (although I wear a 12 to accommodate for post baby weight), but the dress was lost. The only available size in this dress was 16L. I took it. I had to pull up the dress often and some photos revealed the bust lining. I probably could have worn a 12. The picture did not give the dress justice. AN AWESOME DRESS that paired well with my mink. Would love to have this dress for my very own!!!!!

Dress was phenomenal! I went with the 14r and 12r; runs big so I wore the 12. It is VERY long--my shoes had to be at least 4". I'm 5'4, so you can gauge. I thought it was beautiful; so did everyone else. The sequins can rub a bit under the arms so be careful, plus a bit heavy b/c of the material--but would definitely do it again!

I rented the 6R, but the dress was too big and too long. Natasha, from Customer Service made sure I received the dress in the size 4R in time for my event. She was amazingly helpful, and so nice! My mermaid costume was a huge hit at my friend's Halloween party. The size 4R wasn't too long with heels. I would definitely rent again, and possibly go down another size. The dress was a bit big from waist up. Throughout the night I was pulling up the top.

I wore this dress to my senior prom. The color of the dress is actually green and very bright, compared to the photo online. This dress is quite heavy, but that didnt take away from its beauty. I got so many compliments throughout the night! Definately a StandOut dress. Loved it!

When I had a brain fart and planned my original dress for delivery after the wedding I was attending, RTR was beyond amazing, over-nighting this dress to my hotel in NOLA. So first, I can't say enough about the customer support. About the dress, I'll agree with the other ladies that it is a bit heavy and definitely runs large. I'm a tried and true size 4/27, and the 2L was a great fit, snug enough to stay up, loose enough to breathe and eat. I'm a 34C and the bust was a bit loose, so if you're small chested maybe consider a different dress or some serious padding. I wore this dress braless because it's got a sheer panel in the back, but I wish I had some sticky boobs to help hold the dress up. I wore 4' heels with the dress and it hit the ground with just the perfect amount of draping. Color is stunning. I got so many complements. Looks great with a bold red lip.

Only wore for 30 min because my arms were raw from the sequins rubbing but it was beautiful.

The dress was beautiful and perfect for a Mardi Gras ball. The 0 was a little stretched out at the top and slightly too short so I wore the 0 long and it was the perfect length with 3 inch heels. Overall the dress was stunning and everyone kept staring.

This gown stands out from the crowd! We attended a black tie wedding at Hotel Bel Air, and people approached me all night to say how awesome this dress was. Loved the mesh detailing in the front and back, and the sequins photographed so well. This dress is very heavy, so for small chested people like myself I would go a size down. The fabric stretches up top where the mesh is, but has little give in the rest of the bodice. I was right on the border for a 0R and 0L, so I ordered the hem tape the stylist recommended and it worked well, I ended up taking the dress up 1". If I could do it again I would try the 0R. My heels were 5.5".

I ordered this dress for my homecoming court assembly! I had to wear something that would stand out & this definitely drew all the eyes! It was a beautiful dress, I got so many compliments! I would suggest going down a size, I wore a 2 & it was a little big in the bust, I had to keep pulling it up, but it was perfect for the occasion! I would definitely rent this dress again

I wore this dress to my senior prom. The dress is very heavy, and touch painful to rub your arms against. Also, decently sized boobs are a must for this dress. Regardless, I couldn't be happier with my selection. This dress is vibrant, beautiful, and extremely unique. I got TONS of compliments all night long, and got told by over a dozen people I looked like a mermaid. I was sad to part with it.

My experience with RTR was fantastic. I originally rented a different dress that looked terrible on me and the customer service representatives were awesome in finding a new look last minute and shipping it overnight. Because it was last minute, the size needed for this dress was unavailable. I has seen the reviews and was looking to size down to a 4R but only the long was available. Honestly, a 2 would have been the right size for me. The dress was about a foot too long for me. I also got the 6R and that was a very long dress as well. How I got this dress to work was I wore a strapless bra and added breast enhancer inserts to make the top of the dress tighter. Then, I wore the highest stripper heels I could find (6 inches)...then I took loungerie tape and taped the top of the dress as well as "hemmed" the lower front part of the dress about 3 inches with the tape. This is an absolute gorgeous dress and I received great compliments but wish I could have gotten the right size...which was not RTR doing.

The dress was to big around the bust area not too fitted at the top bit the dress was comfortable a tad heavy but worth it if u want to look glamorous!! Worked amazing for my prom!!

The dress was so stunning, everyone loved it and I was getting compliments all night long. It runs large! I would go down at least one size, if not two. The fabric is pretty heavy so the snugger it is, the better. I wish i could have had the size 2, but I didn't have the option. The length was fine for me with about 4.5 inch heels. Showstopper. Would recommend it for anyone

The dress came in on time and in pristine condition! It's a BEAUTIFUL dress and I wore it with gold jewelry which worked wonderfully! I threw on some 3.5" heels and the length was PERFECT. I did have some problems though. 1) it was heavy, but not too bad once I had it on. 2) the sequins scratched my arms and others people's arms. And finally 3) boobs. I couldn't wear a normal bra with the dress and have nothing to keep it up with, and the dress was so heavy that fashion tape didn't work. So we found some cute ribbon and pinned it on to prevent flashing. It worked but it hurt. None of these were problems with the site or designer, just, well, my boobs. To summarize; go with a smaller size , and have boobs. Boobs are key. It was an amazing dress, and I really stood out wonderfully at my prom.

I wore this dress to a formal school event. I got compliments all night long. The dress does run large and long. I ordered both the 4L and the 2R (they didn't have 2L available) and I'm so happy I did. I ended up wearing the 2R with 3.5 inch heels and the length was perfect. I had never worn a sequined dress before, so I didn't realize how weighed it would be. It was heavy, but nothing a little strategic pinning couldn't take care of. Something to be aware of, because of the weight, it pulled the dress shape down and doesn't cinch in at the waist as much as I would have liked. I also have a very small waist line and tend to like to have that accentuated. Despite these small hiccups, the dress was amazing. Everyone told me I looked like a mermaid (which was fitting, as the party was on a yacht :) ), especially with the small train the dress has. The pattern is so flattering and I felt so beautiful all night.

I'm 5'5 and was planning to wear 4-5 inch heels so I purchased the size 4 long and 6 long versions, but both were still too long. I ended up wearing the 4 long, but probably could have even gone down to the size 2 as I had to tape the dress up. It's a heavy dress,but so beautiful, I highly suggest renting it...this was for a black tie gala in DC and I've never received so many compliments.

I rented this dress for my senior sorority formal, and although I loved how I looked I couldn't wait to change out of it! PROS: The dress was extremely flattering on my body, and photographed BEAUTIFULLY. I have yet to find a picture of this dress didn't it look fabulous in, and I was overrun with compliments all night. Everyone said I looked like a mermaid! I also found the dress easy to dance in, and the fabric had a little more give to it than the description implies. I am 5'9" and wore 4" heels and the length could not have been any more perfect - I wasn't tripping over the front yet my feet didn't show in pictures. CONS: Because the fabric is quite heavy, even with fashion tape I was pulling it up all night! If you are small chested, be prepared because I barely filled out the top. Also, I would also include a picture of my arms but it's a little too grotesque - my skin was destroyed by the sequins, scratches everywhere. Also be prepared with the correct undergarments for underneath this dress, even with the sequins it may show some lines. The train was also longer than I thought and it got stepped on quite a bit (which didn't combine well with it wanted to fall down). The final problem was that I was constantly fighting to hide the hanger straps all night - they kept poking out behind the mesh panel (I should have used even more fashion tape!). OVERALL: Worth it for how great you will look, both in person and it photos, but be prepared to wear one of the most uncomfortable dresses of your life.

This was a last minute replacement dress as the other one I ordered was too short. I'm 5'6.5"- 5'7" and apparently am right in between a Regular and a Long length dress... :( The day before NYE, there weren't too many other options but I was intrigued by this dress! It was shipped directly to the hotel so I couldn't try on and figure out the underwear scene first. The 8R was just a little too tight and the 10L was too long even with the 3 inch heels I brought. It's very heavy due to all of the sequins and bunched in the middle. The back has a sheer panel so any strapless bras are noticeable which was one of my final deterrents to wearing it - other than the fact I'd be hitching it up, having to hold my skirt up all night and such. It is SO STRIKING in person... I felt like a mermaid! Wish the fit would've worked out better.

RTR sent this dress as a second option when the dress I previously ordered was unavailable. I loved how I looked in it, everyone said I looked like a mermaid, which if that's what you're going for... My only complaint is that I have never worn a sequined dress before and was unaware of how it can rub and give you rug burn. It actually scratched and cut up my arms. It was so painful that I couldn't put my arms down all night. If you are a more experienced sequined dress wearer than me and know what you are getting into, go for it. The dress is gorgeous.

I knocked off two stars because of the fit and the train. The description does not include the train, it has one so beware. Second, it runs very large. I am normally a 6 and got the 4 as my back-up. Both were falling off me. I ending up with a 2, that was still large. In addition, the dress does not have the proper boning to support the weight of the dress, it is very heavy. It was beautiful and people commented on how amazing it looked. But I was pulling it up all night, even with double stick tape. If I had had more time, I would of purchased a low backed corset type undergarment that I could of secured the dress to. Also it was my first experience with sequins and I had visible abrasions on both of my arms the next day.

Fit like a glove! I have a large chest and small waist and this dress did not fall down throughout all the dancing I did. The regular was a perfect length for me wearing 4" heels because I loved how it brushed the floor a little but I never stepped on it. The bodice section was form fitting but not too tight and the upper back and center front have black mesh for a little more drama. The color-AMAZING! Definitely a mermaid fit. The sequins did not scratch my arms. Everyone complimented the dress all night long! Wore it to a New Years's Eve party and wish I could have kept it!!

Sorry for the green photo! This dress was gorgeous in person. I read a lot of reviews about the sequins being very rough and cutting skin, but I found it to be minimal. (I will say as a caveat that Im pretty broad shouldered so my arms might not rub again a dress the same amount). This was comfortable and i had TONS of compliments from both men and women. It was easy to move in, dance, sit, eat. I would wear it again in a second!

I rented this dress for big charity event and received so many compliments that night. I felt like a princess in this dress. It was kind of heavy material and needed to be pulled up constantly. I loved the color with my blonde hair. Glad my plan A didn't work out because this was my 2nd choice when I ordered. Glad it worked out better than expected.

Dress was absolutely gorgeous! Tones of compliments and enjoyed every second in it. The sequin was perfect and didn't stick me or scratch me in any way. The 10L fit me perfectly but was a little long on me but that was ok. Overall it was a perfect dress for the occasion.

It runs a bit large which isn't a problem at all! It's so beautiful and stunning in photos. I didn't have any issues with dress being scratchy or heavy, which I've heard while reading other reviews. I can definitely see where they are coming from, but I had none of these issues! I would rent it 1000X over!

I LOVE this dress! I got compliments all night and was sad to have to send it back. I read other reviews and agree with some that it runs a bit large so you may want to get the optional 2nd gown and order a size smaller as a back up. Fortunately, I had no chafing what so ever under my arms, unlike the terrible experiences others wrote about. It's a heavy gown but if you have the right fit, it will stay up. It's long so you will need to wear relatively high heels (unless you are very tall). The fabric has more stretch than I expected so if you have curves and are concerned, don't be it will look great! It is a fitted gown so if you are uncomfortable about how it may hang on you, look into shape wear as it will show any lumps and bumps you may have...but don't want to share with the world ;)

This wasn't the original dress I rented for a black-tie ball; unfortunately, though, when I went to the store to pick up the first dress, the zipper was broken and couldn't be repaired due to a hole in the material. So I had to scour the racks in the store to try to find something, which is easier said than done. Everything was either a size 0 or a size 10, and I'm generally anywhere between a 2 and a 8, depending on the designer. Luckily, I found this dress in a 4R, and it actually fit very well. I probably should have worn a backless bra or some kind of bra support just because I did have to keep pulling it up all night (I'm a small C, large B). But it's an absolutely gorgeous dress with a beautiful cut and some sexy details - black sheer to show some cleavage and black sheer in the back at the top hem. I could have used a size 4L - I'm 5'8 and ended up having to buy 2" heels to wear, but the dress still was above an inch off the ground. It wasn't a big deal though. The only annoying thing about this dress is that there was a tiny piece of metal (probably from bra support) that was poking out all night, but they're fixing it. Otherwise, it's gorgeous. I got tons and tons of compliments on it and I would definitely wear it again.

The dress is eye-catching, but for a true pear shape body type- this dress isn't flattering (see my photo proof). The sequins make the dress very heavy and scratchy... and I couldn't imagine having to wear it for my 5 hour event. The length was really perfect for me at 5'-9", but I'm not sure what I would have done for a bra... and since it was heavy - I think I would have needed to wear one. Luckily - this was only sent as a replacement back-up dress when my original back-up dress wasn't available, so I ended wearing my original dress to the event instead.

I found the dress to be very true to the reviews I had read in that I felt it was true-to-size but perhaps slightly large in the bust area. I'm a 38D and wore a very...accentuating...strapless bra and still had to shimmy the dress up every now and then. I highly recommend investing in a low-back or black strapless bra, as it most likely will peek through the mesh areas just a bit. I preferred the length of the dress as it pooled just slightly at the floor, but to be fair, I was wearing flats. I'm just not a fan of showing a lot of ankle and/or shoe when standing still. The dress is a bit heavier than most other formal gowns I've worn due to the sequins, but I didn't find it to be burdensome. Overall, it was extremely comfortable sitting, standing and dancing. A gorgeous mermaid-esque effect that I loved!

It was so so beautiful but so scratchy. By the end of the night I looked like I got attacked by my cats. So many compliments and stares on this dress. I normally wear a 2-4 and i wish I would've ordered a 0. I ended up with the 2R and being 5'2 it was a little long on me even with 5+ inch heels. I kept having to pull it up because it definitely runs large. Overall the Pros overcame the cons because it was just so darn beautiful.

The dress had a comfortable fit around my waist just like my usual size 2 dress fittings. However, the dressed called for a lot of bust and longer legs because I was lacking some as a 5'1" girl. I wore a push-up bra to fill in the top of the dress and temporarily basted the bottom so I didn't trip. the dress has some wire sticking our from the top edge which kinda poked my skin and made it red. I had to put a nude band aid and medical tape to cover it up but the wire just poked through. I think that could easily be fixed when returned. Despite these issues, I didn't feel the dress was unbearable and I was really happy with my choice all night! So many genuine compliments from friends, family, and strangers!
