Loved this dress it looks and fits amazing.

This dress is a stunner! The length of the skirt nicely balanced the deep cut of the neckline. This could easily be a brakes dress, but I'm a 34ddd so, that's not really an option for me. I paired the dress with a beautiful black lace balconette bra and it worked perfectly. Very sexy and 100% elegant. I'm typically an 8 and fit into the size 4, but my breasts made the sides pucker, so if you're full figured get your size and one down as a backup. Enjoy the elegance. You really feel regal in this dress.

This dress was comfortable and looked awesome in my engagement photos. I wanted something classy but sexy and good for an outdoor photo shoot. This was perfect. I really want to own this dress! The V is pretty deep so I did use flash tape just in case. I love how the skirt looks when you twirl around in it; it would be a great dress for dancing!

The bright floral print makes the dress particularly striking. The hem length was mid-calf on me (5'4"), but it was a fun length with the full skirt. Lots of compliments from strangers in Savannah and from friends looking at photos after our trip. The front is markedly low cut, so I wore a lace cami underneath. If you wanted something bolder, you'll need a low plunge bra to work with the neckline.

Wonderful fabric quality, it is very low though so I taped it. The full skirt and length made it easy to perform in (I'm a musician). Also traveled well, no wrinkling problems!

The dress fit like a glove and received tons of compliments. The flared skirt made the dress comfortable and very easy to dance in. Like other reviewers have said, it is REALLY low cut. I had to pin it to keep it to keep my chest from popping out. Anyone larger busted than me probably would have been bursting at the seams.

New Year's Eve was the perfect setting for this pretty dress. I wanted something special but not too blingy, too tight or too formal. This was it. The fit was perfect, although the mid-section was a bit tight at the end of the evening... (hmmmm) It was a perfect, party dress for a sophisticated look rather than trendy. It was a tad lower cut than I would have preferred, but it was New Year's Eve. New Year. New Me.

Beautiful dress. Hourglass design is very flattering. VERY low cut but the girls stay secure. Would not recommend for a business event though because it shows too much. The shoulders stay up nicely, the waist is tight, plenty of room in the skirt. Lovely.

This dress was perfect for a work holiday semi-formal party. It fits true to size. The neckline is a little weird in the picture because I tried to use double sided tape to make it a little more modest, but it really didn't work. It is definitely low cut, so wouldn't be good for a conservative function. Really great color, easy to move around in.

An absolutely perfect dress for my annual holiday party...tons of compliments all night long. I loved, too, that on me if hit right below the knee. I imagine this is a bit harder for a shorter woman. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5 is that I did spend most of the night fighting keeping my cleavage covered. I finally just let the girls be the star of the show and stopped worrying about them showing all night. But this does make it harder to think about renting this for a work cocktail party.

The top is verrrrry low cut so I pinned it shut and then used double sided tape to keep it down on my chest. The skirt was a little flat but overall this was a really pretty dress for a great price!

I was shocked to fit my post baby body in to this size 12, but it fit well and was super comfortable. Good for sitting, good for Dancing. Lots of great comments

I rented this dress for the opening night of the production of Beauty and the Beast I choreographed. All night long I couldn't walk ten steps without someone saying something lovely to me about how I looked in that dress. When they learned I had rented it, many of them said I should purchase it because it was so perfect. The fit was great which was a relief to me as this was my first rent the runway experience and I was worried about having issues with sizing. The color is gorgeous and the silhouette is great for someone big busted and hourglass shaped like me. The neckline does plunge a bit but if you're ok with a little bit of cleavage (as I am), then this dress is a real winner. It sure made my night special.

This dress was very pretty. The material was very luxurious. The top was a little off on the fit. The neckline was low and when the material moved the lining would separate a little. Also the boob darts were very wide. I wore a bandeau top underneath so I could relax and enjoy the event. The waste fit perfect (After the holidays fitting more size 6 then 4 ;)

I rented this dress for my step-daughter's wedding. The vibrant blue colored flowers on the beautiful black dress made for a spectacular pairing. The dress was very comfortable and very classy, but subdued enough not to pull focus. As mentioned in other reviews, this dress was very low cut. I chose to pin it and it still looked lovely.

I found the dress to be very flattering. It fit well. As the reviews stated, the neckline was plunging so I had purchased a nice black lace camisole. It did come a bit wrinkled, however I hung it up and by the next day, most were out.

Fits true to size. Definitely will use this website again when I need another dress for an event. So easy to use!

Invest in Hollywood tape! Seriously though - it flows very nicely. I am a pear and the shape is very flattering. Because it is flowy, I probably could have been a 2.

I tried this dress on at the Chicago Rent the Runway store and knew I loved it. I rented it for a friend's wedding at the Jewel Box in St Louis on 10/10/15. The neckline was way lower/more gaping than I remembered and I had to safety pin it together at the bottom of the V to prevent accidental spillage. I did not wear a bra, just stick on petals. It felt slightly scandalous for the wedding where we didn't know many people, but I did love this dress. The fit and color are gorgeous and the fabric is thick and lovely. The skirt is incredible to dance in - twirls out like a dream! We spent the whole night on the dance floor and I had a blast. :) Great to dance in, but plan accordingly for the girls.

This was a gorgeous dress that I absolutely loved wearing but I cannot emphasize enough how deep the neckline plunges. And, the shorter you are (or, the shorter your torso), the deeper the V. I ended up buying a lace bra to wear over my regular bra, as the amount of cleavage would have otherwise been inappropriate for a wedding. I ordered my normal size (a 4) and ordered a size up, per RTR's recommendations. I think I might have preferred going one size down, but with the additional lace piece that I wore, it worked out fine. It's a beautiful dress, but you will show excessive cleavage!

I wear a size 12 dress normally. This dress in a size 12 fit tight. However, the bigger problem was the plunge of the dress was more than I was comfortable with. So I wore the size 14, which felt a little large in the shoulders, but I was comfortable with the plunge with a safety pin to keep secure. I really loved the dress and thought it was well made. The color was very bold.

Rented for a wedding and wore a size 12. Neckline is definitely quite daring for a wedding and even with fashion tape it was a bit showy. I had issues using the tape because the fabric is beautiful but quite thick/heavy and I needed a ton to get the bit I wanted held to stay. This was a hot July wedding but the dress was very flattering in all my problem areas and I loved the black/blue combo.

This dress worked great for a wedding. It traveled well, too. It has a nice twirl to skirt while dancing.

Rented this dress for a country-club style wedding. The size 4 was a true fit and I didn't even have to try on the additional size. Beautiful style, cut, and gorgeous royal blue tones in the dress. Just a bit too low cut for a wedding so I wore a camisole under it. Loved the experience and how easy it was to rent and I definitely will again.

I could have gone to the event with only tape to secure the low-cut front but decided to wear a black tank top underneath and glad I did, wasn't worried about revealing too much all night.

PROS: Color, shine, drama, editorial, vintage style that can go with a theme or setting. CONS: Came wrinkled, needed significant ironing time, fabric looked a bit tired up close with loose threads and deep creases and faded pattern. The bust is very "open" as most of the other reviews described, so I was prepared with a black lace camisole to wear under. The fit on my ample chest was not perfect, but between the two sizes I was sent the smaller was overall more flattering, so I dealt with a tight bust. I wasn't thrilled with how this dress looked on me when I first tried it on, I first thought it was a bit matronly. It was later after I took the time to iron it and dress up the rest of me that I realized it was a good look for this elegant estate wedding. I was also reading Intercessions during the Catholic Ceremony so I wanted something with a degree of austerity. I think this dress worked well in the church and the reception. I am a curvy hourglass that can wear a street 10 or 12 depending on bust allowance.

The color of this dress is a very strong royal blue, and as others have noted, the neckline is VERY low in the front! I ended up wearing an opaque black camisole (but going braless) to preserve modesty and make the top fit better. I'm actually a DD cup (not an option on the RTR profile, what gives?) and yet, the top fit a bit loosely. The length was perfect on me (long legs!) and the overall shape was flattering. I accessorized with silver shoes/bag/jewelry and a shawl of a contrasting blue.

OMG! You will definitely need to wear a tank under this dress. The 'v' in the front is deep and there is no real way to pin the dress closed. Besides that, I received multiple compliments throughout the night. Received the items I rented quickly and the return was easy. Will totally use RTR in the future.

They were not kidding in the other reviews about the plunging neckline! I had to wear a bandeau otherwise the girls would have been out! I wear a 32/34 E so most bras I have come up pretty high. But the bandeau over my bra worked just fine.

Event: Military holiday party Jewelry: Also rented from RTR. Ben-Amun Victorian Crystal Statement Necklace and Kenneth Jay Lane Blue Skies Drop Earrings. Fit: I am usually a straight up 8. I wore the 8, but it fit a little roomy around my ribcage and upper chest. It also was long on me, falling 3-4 inches below my knees. The top is a true crossover style and a very deep V. I'm actually a 34DD. I wore a plunge bra, but when I leaned forward a little you could still see the middle of the bra, so I pinned the dress just a little to keep the bottom of the V closed. I also placed Hollywood Fashion Tape (about 2 inches) on either side of the neckline just along my boobs to keep the fabric in place. It didn't feel like I would pop out or anything, but since the fit was a bit loose I wanted the neckline to stay in place and not show my bra cups accidentally since I would be moving around. Pros: Fabric is an expensive looking, tightly woven, medium stiff, sturdy fabric that is wrapped and pleated nicely. Still drapes and gathers when you sit, but no wrinkles whatsoever, and it doesn't seem like it would be easy to wrinkle. Very flattering shape I could still eat dinner in (hides the tummy--this photo was after dinner). Blue flowers are bright and lovely. Very classy and I received several compliments. Fabric was thick enough for an indoor winter party and I was plenty warm with just sheer black pantyhose. Armholes don't gap or show your bra and the straps are very wide and go to the ends of the top of your shoulder so there is no worry about bra straps showing. Cons: I got my ring caught on a fiber of the fabric and it tends to pull and look stringy. Was able to trim the string off but was mindful of my rings thereafter. The dress was a little longer on me than anticipated, but appropriate for winter so it worked out. Neckline had to be pinned in the front as above but otherwise stayed in place. I would rent this piece again in the same size, an 8.

This was my first RTR dress, and I loved it! Perfect twirl for a night of dancing at a Christmas party at one of the Newport Mansions! I'm a size 4, 30D, athletic build. The size 2 fit, but was snug around the ribs. I decided to wear the 4 with a little flash tape to prevent the v-neck from gaping. I wore my regular bra(bonus!) and had no need for Spanx. I received tons of compliments. Easy to wear!

I love this dress. The pop of blue is stunning, making it so different from another lbd. I also loved the way it moved. Like other reviewers have said, the v is way deeper than the model photo suggests. I wore it to a wedding, and even with fashion tape, my bra kept peeking through. About halfway through the reception, I ended up taking off my bra and readjusting the tape. It looks great, and I was much more comfortable. I wish I started the night off that way.

I chose this dress for a formal but work associated event. This dress is actually pretty conservative aside from the deep V (which is very deep!). I think a lot of how deep the V looks is how much you fill it out (in my case, quite a bit). However, I was able to wear this with a low-U bra and never had a mishap. I have a fairly small waist, but was surprised to need to wear the size 2 and still have breathing room. Also, the skirt hit just below the knee for me, which gave it an overall 50's vibe. Love the fabric! The blue is super vibrant and fun, and the fabric light and comfortable to wear. (Sorry for the lackluster picture - I meant to get better ones and never got around to it!)

The top is extremely low cut. I wear between a 6 and 8, and this fit perfectly.
