You'll feel beautiful in this dress! The dress fits true to size; however, the inside slip fits snugly on the hips. If you feel like a snug slip (that you cannot remove) would drive you crazy, get one size up! Otherwise, the dress was perfect and you'll enjoy wearing it! Cheers!

The dress fit really well and overall, it was perfect for our beach engagement shoot. Positives: Overall I loved the dress and got tons of compliments on how it looked in the photos! The flowiness of the dress plus the windy day allowed for some great shots! Because of the intricacy of the front, I opted for simple dangly earrings, as I felt a necklace would've been distracting. The dress photographs amazingly. I'd buy it if I could. Negatives: I only had a small issue, which was the back of the dress. Perhaps it's because I'm smaller in the front, but the dress puckered out a little in the back, as if it didn't fit. It was this way with both the 0R and the 2R. We didn't have many pictures from the back, so it's not a big deal, but that's the only thing I would've changed if I could. Comment: Also, the front was a bit loose, so I wore a NuBra and used fashion tape to make sure I wasn't exposed!

This dress is an absolute dream. The hem was a little worn in a couple spots, but other than that it was in great condition! I opted not to wear a bra, so I sized down (to a 4 instead of 6) to keep everything in place without needing fashion tape. The color is beautiful! Ended up wearing fairly tall shoes (probably 4in+) and the dress flowed beautifully along the ballroom floor. My sisters also rented from RTR, and we had family portraits taken before attending a wedding. Even the photographer was swooning over these gowns! Can't wait for my next rental.

I wore this dress to my Senior Prom, paired with Kate Spades's Rhodium Spark Earrings also rented from RTR. My issues lay in the length, as I mainly had to lift up the dress to walk around, and the bust, as other reviews may mention. I opted for fashion tape, but I was still aware of the bust issue. That being said, I still loved the openness in the front and back. The gown itself is so stunning, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to wear it. Thanks, RTR!

The fit was wonderful. Although you may need to buy fashion tape if you want the top to fit just right. It was really long. However, I wore flats most of the night so if you wear heels you should be okay.

The dress fit beautifully and the length was perfect for me (I'm 5'8" and wore flats). It was incredibly comfortable but DO NOT I repeat DO NOT skimp on the fashion tape. This dress is beautiful but the failure to tape it to your chest thoroughly is a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. They provide you with a little but you're going to want a lot. Beside that, I will definitely be coming back for my next formal event. Thank you!

Photos DO NOT do it justice! I am 5'8 and wore 4 inch heels and it was still an inch too long in the back. I was worried it might look a little too conservative or mother in law like and nothing could be further from the truth! Recommend a sticky plunge bra and a slip/spanks if you have curves you want to hide.

I'm very curvy and tall, and this dress was probably the best fit I could've found! I looked and felt stunning in it! The dress looks more purple in person than it appears on the website, which was nice. It is a very flattering design, especially at the chest. I kept getting compliments on how good my boobs looked which was really funny! It does show a lot of cleavage if you have bigger boobs, but is designed in such a way that it still looks classy and elegant rather than trashy. The top also wasn't that tight on me, and I probably would've gotten it altered if I were to own the dress. It was very comfortable also, and goes with any shoes. I loved this dress - wish I could've kept it ;)

After agonizing over what length to get I went with the recommendations on here and got the 6R and 8R. I was worried that I needed the L but I did not. I wore flat sandals and the 8R was actually an inch or two too short but the 6R was just right. The fit of both sizes was pretty much the same. I did find myself stepping on the dress a few times, and using extreme caution when riding the escalator but overall the regular length was perfect for my 5'9" height with flats. Like others mentioned the chest area can be very revealing when you lean over and you may want to tape it. I filled it out enough to not need to tape it but I was still borderline. I wore this to a formal military gala and it was a hit.

LOVED THIS. I was super hesitant about getting this at first. Don't be. It's beautiful, fits wonderfully, and I got compliments all night. I'm 5'5" wearing 3-4 inch heels and it brushed the ground beautifully with or without shoes. Make sure you fashion tape/pin the chest area!! I went to prom and as the night went on it was flapping everywhere and I didn't want to flash people (but I didn't). I literally felt like a princess in this dress and I loved every part of it, especially the beautiful color. I highly recommend this for prom as it was easy to dance in and flows so beautifully, and you can twirl it around and such. My first RTR dress was a great success!

I wanted a wedding dress our of the ordinary, just on the simple side. It was so beautiful and the back less detail was beautiful.

It is slightly see through, so be careful with underwear. I had to wear the 6 because the 4 was too short. Other than that, it was perfect!

I loved this dress! I wore it to my sorority formal. The lining was a little fitted underneath, but I word Spanx and it fit perfectly. I had to pin the top because it was loose on me and low cut, but it stayed all night when I pinned it. Definitely would recommend for someone to rent.

The other reviewers mentioned that I needed dress tape so I definitely had that on hand and used it generously. I'm a DD so I usually have to order a size or two up. That is NOT necessary in this dress. I should have ordered a 4 or a 6 regular. The dress does run a bit long if you don't have 4 inch heels (I'm 5' 6"). FYI - I used the Braza teardrop shaped sticker bra - it worked like a charm. Stayed on all night. I do recommend using rubbing alcohol on all areas that you're going to use the dress tape and the sticky bra.

The top is a little big and you WILL need fashion tape, but that was no big deal. The slip under the dress is form fitting and it will ride up a bit, but other than that, it was perfect! So comfy and flowy. I felt like a lilac goddess! I will definitely be renting this dress again!!!

Its a gorgeous dress with very comfortable fabric. Its simply just a stunning dress. I ordered a size 8 and a 10 (I usually wear an 8) and I ended up wearing the 10 simply because it felt more comfortable but they both fit. It has an open back so you can't really wear a bra...I'm a 36D so I wore it with fashion tape and it worked like a charm. I wore it for an outside wedding in Miami and it kept me cool. I was comfortable all night. The regular did run long so I wore it with heels and picked up the fabric when necessary (mostly when dancing lol). I received tons of compliments!!!!!

It was a great length on me (FYI - I am 5' 6-1/2" and wore 4" heels). The bust area is a bit revealing but worked well with a U-Plunge Backless Bra. I also recommend using some fashion tape to keep everything in place. I loved wearing this beautiful dress for a formal ball. I received several compliments on the color and style of the dress throughout the night! Highly recommended.

This dress is unbelievably beautiful. Warning- it's not great if you have full hips or bust. I am a perfect 4 but am hippy- and the lining pulled tight across my hips. Also- you have to tape and safety pin your chest in if you plan on sitting. Standing it's amazing. Again- this dress is beautiful. Flowy and so gorgeous. I can't recommend it enough. I wish I had an event to wear this to every day!

I wore 2.5inch heels and it was the perfect length.

This dress was absolutely stunning, I got compliments all night. The dress fit the body very nicely. I had to safety pin the bra part because It was very low.

The only two things that I had issues were it was very long and it was kind of tight in the hip area. Overall it was a beautiful dress.

I loved wearing this dress. It runs true to size , I ordered the 0R and 0L just in case the regular wasn't long enough for me to wear with heels but it was! I did not see a need for fashion tape in the front as I don't ever really slouch or worry about the front drooping forward, I'm about a 32 C/D and it fit great. Everyone kept coming up to my boyfriend and telling him I looked great!

The 4R fit except it was a tad snug in the hips. The gap in the front was too deep for my liking, but was easily pinned. I wore a strapless and backless bra that worked like a charm. This dress is SO wonderful!!

The dress fit like a glove! The length was even perfect on me, with heels on! The color was perfect with the dress blues and got complimented on it all night! Only needs one or two pieces of tape for the top!

The 4R was a tiny, tiny bit too short but it was more than comfortable to wear for the whole night. The gown is light and flow-y, very Grecian. I did use fashion tape for the front just in case. Overall, the gown is beautiful and was perfect for the evening!

The dress is absolutely stunning in person. As someone who is tall and thin it really did a nice job accentuating my figure, or lack there of. The dress was also the perfect length, I ordered the long being 6'1 and I was still able to wear heels.

It fits great & even though my cup size is a C-D it was not too revealing. Its a bit short - i'm 5'9 and wore pretty low heels (about 2 inches).

Found this fit true to size. As others mentioned, the bust will pucker when you sit and turn so tape is a definite must. I didn't find any bunching issues with the lining, but I also wore a mini slip as well so I think this helped. Loved this dress! Gorg color and sexy, classy! Highly recommended for making a statement.

The 8 was perfect though the back of the dress was a little loose and had to put some fashion tape on it!! The dress had such a gorgeous flow, but I would recommend wearing high heels or platforms if you're 5'2" like me haha. I love love RTR!! I definitely recommend this dress!!

I normally have to wear a size up because of my bust, but theres a lot of stretch in the chest area that allowed me to go with a smaller size dress.

I am 5'7" and wore 4" heels with the regular length, just hit the floor. Pretty color, feminine.

The fit seemed pretty true to size. I didn't have to wear a bra with the dress but did decide to wear a good pair of spanx. The dress has a nude underlay that is quite a bit more fitted than the purple overlay. So, I did have to be mindful that the underlay was not scrunched up in photos. Great dress, would definitely rent again!

I am about 5'3, 119lbs and a 34dd chest. The dress was a bit long even with high high heels. Because of my chest size I absolutely needed to purchase fashion tape for the dress to fall in an appropriate manner. After that I was in love!

Good fit but not perfect since the 0R was out of stock. The lining rode up a bit which was kind of annoying but overall it was the most beautiful dress I have ever worn.

This is such a beautiful dress! My daughter wore it for prom this year. It is a special color, and the draping was subtly sensuous. I liked how the "cut-out" look on the sides had nude material-it made a classier statement than full cut-outs would have made, which was more appropriate for a jr/senior prom. I definitely advise using style tape to adhere the dress through the chest area. This dress seems geared to a smaller-chested individual, as there is no support and not much material to cover oneself. The fabric is thin but not sheer, as it is layered, and the draping made it unique. My 5'5-1/2 daughter wore 3-3/4 inch heels and they worked well. A lovely dress for a special occasion!

I wore this dress to my sorority's spring formal and it was the perfect dress for the event! The dress was absolutely beautiful on and I received so many compliments! The only downside is that even though the dress was very flown and moved beautifully when I walked the lining was much more fitted so at times it felt a bit snug. That being said I still would have ordered this dress!

I wore this dress to a high school senior prom. It was "Phantom of the Opera" themed and paired perfectly with the colors! I have a naturally athletic build with broad shoulders, so I wanted something to cover it up and feature other parts of my body! Be careful, though, when you bend down! The fabric on your chest will fall! I recommend fashion tape or standing up straight at all possible moments! Other than that, the fit was perfect! I ordered a size down, hoping it would fit, since my original size (4L) wasn't available. I ordered long and wore 3" heels and it hit the ground perfectly! I'm 5'8" with long legs! I highly recommend this dress to anyone! Even for a prom dress, I felt beautiful and elegant!

Absolutely STUNNING. I got more compliments on this dress than any I have ever gotten, and it was definitely the most beautiful one at prom. It stands out and compliments curves. My only problem is it showed a bit too much cleavage (which I fixed with fashion tape) and the back of it was a bit awkward because it didn't lay flat against my back unless I was in a certain position. I also had to be super careful with how I bent down--definitely keep your back straight! Completely minor setbacks though. I wish to god I could buy this dress, its so flattering. I'll definitely be renting it again.

This dress was perfect! It was so comfortable and accentuated all the right stuff despite being very flowy. I wish I had a picture of myself walking in this dress because the bottom part opens up and follows you in a beautiful, princess-y way. I wore this for a "Royal"-themed banquet for my sorority. I have a bigger chest (DD), so I did have to tack it a little in the front, but it was a really easy, temporary fix. It is a backless dress, but no need for a special bra. I went without a bra, and there's just enough fabric to cover up the nips (and I have piercings that are usually noticeable when I don't wear a bra). I am 5'11", and I wore 3" heels with this (I ordered the long length of the dress) and the dress barely grazed the gown--perfect! If you're tall but you're planning to wear flats, you may want to get the R length (not sure though because I didn't try that one on). My favorite part of this dress is the twisted area on the chest--it's so beautiful. I ordered the 12L as a backup size because I wasn't sure if I'd be small enough for this one, but thankfully this one fit really well! RTR had an issue with the 12L option of this dress, so they sent me another Badgley Mischka gown in the 12L size. They had some issues getting ahold of me to talk about this mishap--the fault was on my end--but of course, their customer service was fantastic and they offered to overnight me another dress if nothing they sent worked out. Definitely even more loyal to RTR than before, and I've been using this site since I was 15!
