Don't let the funny face I'm making on the right deter you, this dress was PERFECT for the wedding I attended in late August. I have a very large bust (36 DD) so if you have a large bust you NEED to size up. I usually wear a 12 but had to wear a 16 because I couldn't get the zipper closed in anything smaller. I rented the long and wore with flats (it was a long wedding day affair) and the length was perfect for a 5'11'' frame. The weight of the dress is heavier than expected, but not uncomfortable. I wore this dress for about 13 hours (like a said.... a loooong wedding day affair) and I was completely comfortable and felt glam the entire day.

I ordered a 4R and 6P and ended up wearing the 4R as the 6P was too big on me. Even though the 4R was long, I toughed it out and really enjoyed wearing it. I was able to dance all night, though I did hold it up for majority of the time. Either way, it was a great dress for a formal affair, just be sure to order early and get the length you need!

Beautiful gown! Ended up going with the 8R over the 6T because of my broad broad athletic back. Tough to find gowns that have a bit of stretch to accommodate my broad back. This gown was long on me (5,3; 3 inch heels) and the bottom of the gown is A LOT of gown. It lays flat while walking but once you sit it's A LOT of gown. So much fabric on the bottom ye be warned. It's a lot to hold up considering it was long to begin with. This gown was beautiful for the occasion and not as shiny as the photo depicts. The sequins were not too much and for a military event, I was worried about that. Gorgeous dress that wasn't overpowering standing next to my husband for his military ball.

I rented this dress last minute for a black tie gala in Florida. It was perfect! The pictures online do not do this dress justice! It arrived a day early than expected and looked great. The dress is a little heavy, but that did not bother me. The sequins looked beautiful and made it look more elegant. It was a little long for me even with my heels on, but only like an inch. I feel the petite would have been too short for my height and heels. The dress was conformable and had no issues! I cannot wait to rent another dress for an event!

I wore the dress to a Gatsby themed ball so I went for more dramatic accessories than the dress really needed. It would have been better with just a statement earring and no necklace. The 4 was a bit tight in the bust and showed more cleavage than I wanted but the 6 was too big and constantly slipped. The long was perfect with 3" heels, just grazing the floor. The zipper was very stubborn on the 4L, more so than the 6L. The dress was much lighter than I expected. There were 3 girls wearing the same style gown at the ball, 2 in the green chiffon, 1 in the red chiffon. While they looked beautiful, the dresses seemed boring in comparison. The sequins were not too flashy but just enough understated glam to catch the eye while remaining classy.

I went to the Rent the Runway showroom in NYC Flatiron during Christmas break to try on dresses for NYE in Chicago. I received great service at the showroom. This dress was my 2nd choice, I tried both colors, black and gold. The size 14R was tight at the bust when zipped, so I chose the size 16R as my back up option for New Year's eve. Overall, it's a beautiful dress, camouflages the stomach area well and I will keep it in mind for a future event.

This dress is the perfect amount of fancy! It's not too in your face with all the sequins, just the right amount of shimmer to catch people's eye. I'm 5' 4"/130lbs and I'm usually a RTR 4/4L but I'm glad I went with the 4P on this dress. When wearing strapless, I always feel more comfortable with a tighter fit up top so I know it's not going to slip down as the night wears on. It has a built-in corset/bra so no need to worry there. My date was not very tall, so I wore flats. If you're looking to wear heels I suggest going for the long. This dress made me fell fun and elegant all at the same time! Perfect party dress!

The dress was heavy and since it was strapless, I was nervous of it falling. I pinned it to my strapless bra and used fashion tape and it worked out well.

This dress has a very old school Hollywood glamour appeal to it. It was absolutely perfect for the military ball. The liquid sequence make the dress feel chic without being too over the top for the occasion. The dress does run on the long side, so I wish I would have ordered a Regular instead of the Long version. Overall it was perfect and I will definitely be ordering from RTR again!

This dress was stunning. I received many compliments and the length was perfect. I wore 4 inch heels and if you're around 5'7 or 5'8, the R size is perfect and won't drag on the ground. I sized up merely because the bust area is rather tight and didn't want my girls popping out. However, this dress is good for bustier women since it's tight around the bust area and with some Hollywood Fashion Tape, it stayed up. You almost could pull it off without a strapless bra but I wanted everything to stay in place! Also, the waist area is a bit bulkier and since it's not form fitting, I wouldn't recommend this gown for someone who is on the shorter side since there's a lot of extra fabric that is below the bust area and could easily make you look like you're drowning in fabric. Overall, was perfect for my event. One note: the sequins by the armpits might be a little itchy, don't be alarmed!

This dress was perfect! I felt so glamorous and comfortable the whole night. The dress was a little heavier than I anticipated but it really wasn't that big of a deal. I got so many compliments all night and through social media. I would absolutely rent this dress again. I was too short for the regular so I had to use the temporary hem tape to make it a petite length.

I wore this to my husband's Marine Corps ball. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion. I received many compliments. This dress fit true to size. I'm 5'11" and wore 3 inch heels. I had the 6XL and I probably could have got away with the 6L; the XL was a bit too long but it fine. This dress is heavier but not too heavy. It's a good quality dress. The sequins are beautiful and not cheap or overpowering. I would definitely recommend it. I felt beautiful in this dress.

If you are a busty woman like me, this dress runs small! I am usually a 10-12 and I had to send both those sizes back and get a 14. This dress is really long too so unless your 6" I wouldn't think you would need the long. But RTR was so awesome about overnighting me the right size! I couldn't believe it was on my doorstep the next morning! It was like Christmas! I love RTR and will definitely be using them again and telling the world about them!

It was a great but very close fit. Hard to zip up but looked great on. I wore this for my prom and felt beautiful! I recommend ordering it 2 days before your occasion because mine didn't come until night time the day before my event. #gatsby #prom

This dress may look heavy online, but it's actually a lighter material that's very comfortable. The bodice is a little big, but I didn't have any issues with it falling down. It's difficult to zip (right where the material cinches) but once you get past the gathering of material it's a breeze. I ordered the long version of the dress which worked well with about 3.5 inch heels. I highly recommend this dress! It looks even better in person than it does in pictures. It reflects light very well, but it doesn't look tacky. I wore it for prom and got a lot of compliments.

Picked this gown for a formal when I was almost 4 months pregnant - it was perfect! The gown is gorgeous - simple black but the sequins really make it stand out (in the most subtle of ways if that makes sense). The regular was still a bit long for me (but I'm only 5'4''), even in heels I was still picking up the dress to dance.

Perfect dress.

This was my first experience with RTR and I couldn't have been happier! This dress was absolutely perfect for my sorority's masquerade formal and I got so many compliments! The dress was just the right amount of sparkle without being over the top! Pictures certainly don't do it justice! Like so many other reviewers said, you will need two people to zip up the dress, but it stayed in place all night without being uncomfortable. If you are on the shorter side like me, try your best to get the petite size. I made the regular length work with some rather substantial heels (like 5 inch heels) but I had to hold the dress whenever I walked to avoid stepping on the hem.

it fits true to size. However it is really long and I can't wear heels so I had to keep picking up the dress when I walked so that was kind of annoying. It's a beautiful dress, and it's not too heavy for being full of sequins.

The top definitely runs a little large, so I ended up wearing the 8L. At 5'11", the long was just perfect enough to scrape the ground when wearing flats. I was pulling it up a bit throughout the night, but for a strapless dress, it really wasn't bad at all. I absolutely loved the dress and had a really hard time sending it back! It was sparkly and fun, but I didn't feel like I was trying too hard.

True to size, bodice runs a tad bit tight but on the bright side it stays put and I didn't feel like I was trying to pull it up all night. Perfect for a black tie wedding!

This was my first RTR experience, and I couldn't be happier! This dress was even more beautiful than I had anticipated. It was the perfect black dress, gorgeous but not too flashy. My normal size is usually a 6 or 8, and I ended up wearing the 8, with some room to breathe. I literally have no complaints!

At first, I thought this dress looked like a black trash bag but it is a great dress. The picture doesn't do it justice. I just watched some video of me in this dress and the dress (and me) looked amazing! This dress will go well with pretty much any body type. Couple of tips: My big boobs were tucked in and the dress never felt like it was going to fall off my chest, zipper sucks, dress runs long... even the petite one. Go easy on the accessories and don't overdo your hair. The dress wears you!!!

Wore this dress to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and felt flawless. I was surprised that this dress was long enough but it was actually a little too long on me, had to wear 4" heels! Regardless it is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Not too heavy and stays put! I wore a bra but I think that is totally optional. Loved it!! I felt like a million bucks in it and didnt want to send it back after the ball!!

I was a little worried because I'm a little on the tall side (5'9) so I was afraid the 4L was going to be a tad short. Therefore, I also got the 6XL. Nonetheless, the 4L fit perfectly, just the right amount of length and I was able to wear about a 4 inch heel and the bottom of the dress still drape the floor. The XL was entirely too long! The bust of the dress was very fitted so keep that in mind, but it was perfect for me. I wish I could keep the dress--it was absolutely AMAZING! The dress was very versatile--awesome for a formal wedding, gala or event. I definitely will be Renting the Runway again--I'm officially a believer :)

Little itchy under the arms, but what do you expect for sequins? Very structured, so it stayed up and I didn't have to keep pulling it up. I loved the way that it photographed, and it was pretty comfortable overall.

It was beautiful dress and thank god it fit because I spaced and ordered the wrong second size. I matched it with some jewelry from Icing and did my own hair in a curly side swiped hairdo. I ended up wearing the 4R and it fit pretty good but I think if I would have ordered the 2R instead of the 6R it would have fit perfectly. There was a suggestion to order the long because it ran short but I'm glad I didn't because it was far from short. But overall the dress was perfect and I had an awesome time in it.

Great fit and an absolutely beautiful dress it flowed very well and with the right height in shoes there were no troubles in the dress touching the floor

This dress is perfect! I rented it for prom and I couldn't have been happier. No one had the same dress as me. I felt so beautiful the whole night. My only problem is that this dress is pretty long. Every time I walked I had to hold up the dress. Honestly, that wasn't even that bad. I was just so in love with the dress. I felt so glamorous and perfect. I would definitely rent from here again. This was just one of the best days thanks to rent the runway. MUST GET!

This dress was just what I was looking for to wear to my prom. I absolutely loved the way the sequins looked, and I got many compliments! The only thing was that it was very long on me. I ordered the regular length and it was still dragging with 5-inch heels on. Other than that, the dress fit perfectly, but I would recommend ordering a size up because the top on the size that I normally wear seemed to run a bit small. I'm so pleased with RTR's service! The dress came right on time, and it was such an amazing deal.

After reading the details for this dress I ordered the regular instead of the petitie, and I am glad I did. I was wearing five inch heels and the dress still managed to cover them. The top is rather heavy, but if you are busty you shouldn't have a problem (I just wore a strapless bra with the dress and it kept it up fine). This dress has a very classy feel and I would recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be renting from RTR again!

I was skeptical at first about renting from RTR just because of the used dress aspect, sizing, coming in on time, etc. However, my experience was great. The dresses came in on time, and it even came with a little goody bag! Whenever I had questions about sizes or anything, the online chat tool was the way to go and super helpful. I had seen that the dress was long in other reviews so i initially ordered a 2R and 4R however i second guessed myself and changed to the 2L and 4L and im SO happy I did! I wore about 5 inch heels and it was maybe a half inch off the ground. Although I was pulling it up all night, I didnt mind because of how gorgeous the dress was, I had SO many compliments on it, and wouldnt change a thing if I had to do it all over again.

I loved this dress. The top was small, I am a 36D so I had to size up. 12 wouldn't come close to zipping. I would rather it be flattering than worry about the size. It was beautiful and I got so many compliments. So structured that I didn't even need to wear a bra. Sequins got in the way to zip up and you definitely need 2 people to help you zip it. Overall it was perfect and I didn't want to send it back. the XL was the perfect link for 5'11'' with 2 inch heels.

I was a little worried about it coming, but it came the day it said it would early in the afternoon. My regular size fit perfectly, although even with 3" heels the back drug a little on the ground. The bust fit great, but since the dress is "heavier" than other dresses, the top kept folding over a little, but that was nothing dress tape couldn't fix. It photographs so well and hides any "flaws" you might be worried about. I got so many compliments on it, and would definitely recommend this dress to anyone looking for an elegant dress for a formal occasion.

Not as heavy as it looks! Normally I wear a 0, but the two gave a little extra room in the chest area. I recommend the petite size for all my short ladies out there I wore two inch heels and it grazed the ground. This dress was glamorous without being gaudy! I received tons of compliments!

I'm 5'2" and I got the regular instead of the petite due to the fact that I wear a 4" heel at all times. Unfortunately I had to find an even taller heel to make it work for the evening. I had on a 7" platform and the dress was still dragging. So if you're a tiny lady like me.... make sure to get the petite. All in all, I loved this dress!

I ordered a size 4 and 6 because I usually vary between those sizes depending on the dress and brand. I fit perfectly in the size 6. The size 4 was way too small. I am not big breasted but i felt it helped hold my dress up better when I wore a very well padded bra. So for you ladies who are on the smaller side I suggest you wear a padded strapless bra. The dress in length couldn't have been more perfect. I wore about 2-3 inch heels and the dress touched the floor a bit which was perfect. It was very comfortable to wear and didn't have any problems while wearing the dress. Definitely a dress you won't regret renting!!

What an absolutely beautiful dress - perfect for a black tie event. It was so comfortable to wear, and the length was just right. I was a little worried initially about the length, because I'm so tall, but found it was perfect with a small heel. This dress is GREAT for a pear shape. I got so many compliments wearing this dress - it made me feel incredible!
