After I gained at least 15 lbs during the pandemic, my best friend decided to have a black tie wedding and asked me to give a toast at the reception. Rather than running out to get some Spanx, I decided to choose a dress that would make the most of my new curves. I felt incredible, like a glamorous Old Hollywood star. The dress was comfortable enough to dance in as well. My only complaint was the drape in the front had a bit too much fabric and it flopped over a little (see pic).

This dress was perfection. Elegant. Flattering. Comfortable. The ruching made my waist look tiny. Timeless black dress. Perfect for any formal occasion. I received tons of compliments on what could be perceived as a basic black dress. Far from basic.

This formal was elegant and classy! It fit well! I was nervous that a size 12 would not fit me because I recently lost weight but it was the perfect fit! I loved the feel of this outfit! The photoshoot was for 6 hours and the material of this dress was perfect!

I wore this to a wedding and I looked fabulous and felt so comfortable. It was so sexy, but nothing was exposed. The material is stretchy so dancing all night was a breeze. Love this dress!! I rented the necklace too and it was a show stopper.

I wore this dress to a grade school fundraising gala. It was so comfortable! I am 5'7" and wore 4 in heels and the length was fine. I wore the 8R. I had a 6 month old baby so I liked the ruching because it helped hide my baby pooch. I would rent this again.

I loved this dress. Very comfortable and elegant. Fabric is heavy enough where it feels like it is good quality, but not so weighty that you get overheated. I usually wear a 4P but the 4P was a bit short with my 3" heels, so I went with the 6R. Fit was still great, and length was fine even with my 5"2 frame. Would absoutely rent this dress again.

I wore this dress for a wedding in Minnesota. The long sleeves kept me warm. The material and style was very flattering. I ordered a size 6R and 8R. The sleeves on the 8R were too baggy so I went with size 6R. It fit really well but I did have to wear spanx bc of my hips/booty. I absolutely loved the dress and would recommend for a winter wedding/formal occasion.

I wore this dress to a Mardi Gras Fundraiser for my daughters school. It came on time and the fit was great. I really needed the long but it wasnt available for the dates I needed but it was fine. It was a cold night and the event was in an old warehouse that only had space heaters and it was plenty warm. Also hides the tummy area well.

The fit was perfect and I was so happy I went with long sleeves because it was a cold and windy evening. The dress length was perfect wearing 4 inch heels (I love wearing heels anyway)! I felt so beautiful in the dress and when my engagement photos came back, I was so glad I went with it. The slit is wowzas! You'll feel like a million bucks in this beautifully made gown.

This dress was fabulous, it fit like a glove!!This was the first time that I had rented from RTR and this definitely will not be my last. The quality of the material is impeccable. I felt beautiful! The dress came in a waterproof garment bag wrapped in plastic and already on a hanger so there were no worries about the dresse(s) being wrinkled. Can't wait to rent another dress soon!!

I received many compliments all night long. The dress fit true to size and the petite was a perfect fit for my 5'2'' height. I loved this gown!

I am only 5'5 and felt this dress was short. I really wish I would have gotten a size 12 in order to feel more comfortable. When I sat down or walked the slit would ride up which made me uncomfortable, but had I had 1 size up, I think the dress would have been perfect.

The dress runs small- the 2 fit me and i'm usually a 4 or sometimes 6. Plenty of room in bust. Interesting draping on the hips- some may not like it. It is beautiful and elegant. So simple and makes your face and hair stand out. Nice slit too for easy movement. Loved it and love the pics!

This was my first time renting a dress from RTR, I took the leap and rented this dress and could not have been happier, it was modest yet sexy with the body hugging fit and leg slit. Let alone the hours I could've saved had I chose to rent from the start. I was concerned that the 10R was going to be too big as in some cases I can be a size 8 but it fit just fine. I was okay with the extra material and draping felt it disguised the tummy Will definitely rent from RTR again for my next occasion.

I loved the comfort and fit of this dress! It's perfect for cold weather. I'm 5'7 and I felt like it was a tad short but my sister said she thought it looked perfect. I hope this picture gives you a good visual of that so you can plan accordingly. Highly recommend!

I could have worn either the 0 or the 2, but I wore the 2 for a little extra length. The dress looked better in person than photographs. I got a lot of compliments, but the draping didn't show up well in photographs, so it looked like a plain black dress except in bright light. If you're curvy, this will definitely accentuate your hips! At first I thought it was a little short, but some posing and leaning hid that in the photos.

Rented this for my daughter, so don't look at my size stats. She's 12, but already curvy. She's 5'3" and about 110LBS. The 4P fit her really well. Maybe a tad big in shoulders, but not noticeable. The gathering on the side is very cool.

I was seriously surprised and please with the quality of the dress even more surprised that it fit perfectly it was elegant and sexy My husband was pleased and most of all the dress was very very comfortable I will definitely use rent the one way again and last but not least I received thousands of compliments

What I love about this dress it’s perfect for the winter and it hides everything I wanted to hide on my body but the same time showed off all the right parts. Such a perfect dress for a mommy that still caring some baby weight. I highly recommend this dress!! 😍

The 4 was not the size I wanted, but it was the only size available when I ordered. I usually wear a 6. It ended up fitting perfectly!! The dress gives a little, so it felt great!! I'm 5' 6" so I went with the 4L. I order the 4R as the backup in case, but it was way too short and the slit came up much higher. I have am muscular build with about a 29 inch waist. Thick thighs and glute and about 150 lbs.

This was the backup dress and after trying it on I couldn't resist. Incredibly flattering, made me feel beautiful and bonus: unbelievably comfortable! Every dress I have worn to a special occasion, no matter the weight I have been, I always find myself adjusting, this is the first dress I haven't had to touch or adjust! It stayed in place and the leg slit was a modest one that hit just above the knee and I felt like I was in this dress without being squeezed. For a women who has gained more weight than I am comfortable with since having a baby and being in quarantine, this dress made me feel beautiful again! Highly recommend for any woman with curves.

I wore this dress to a super Covid responsible, outdoor Halloween wedding. It was in the 40's the entire night. This dress kept me decently warm- just a heads up if you're planning to wear it to an inside event. But the fit was perfect, I was surprised at how well it fit! I'm about 5'6"/5'7" and it barely brushed the ground in flats (again, outside/forest wedding = no heels for me!). The fabric has some stretch, so it can stretch to fit your curves. I have a small butt so it bunched up a bit there because of the low zipper, but the ruching camouflaged that pretty well. I absolutely loved this dress and would rent it again.

It was awesome not to have to shop in store for a dress. I paid $108 for this dress for 8 days and they send 2 sizes, which is so helpful. I couldn't buy a dress for that price anywhere near as nice as this. I planned on dieting before this event and had selected 2 smaller sizes originally. 3 weeks before the event, I was able to change the next sizes up because my diet didn't go as planned. I am covered in tattoos and wanted to be covered up due to two extremely religious families. This dress did that and made me feel tall and thin, which I am neither. I did order the long length and wore 5" wedges which was perfect with the length. Also, the wedding was in June in Arkansas :/ but this dress fabric was comfortable, even in the heat. I am very happy with this dress and the service. Will most definitely rent again for other events!

My dress was amazing! It fit so well and I got complimented all night. It was exactly what i imagined and even arrived a day early. Couldn't have asked for better.

I wore the larger size (4R) for the length. It was so comfortable and flattering. There is a piece of fabric that cuts across the perfect spot on the midsection.

Sometimes it's sexier to be covered up in a form-fitting dress. This is that dress. I would buy it if I could. The draping flatters your hips and makes you have a nice hourglass shape without adding bulk. I was afraid it would make my hips look funny but it looked amazing. Comfy, easy to wear, but still stunning. Could dress it up even more with jewelry. This was a James Bond night so the timeless and flattering look was perfect.

The fit was perfect! The fabric had the right amount of stretch to make it a very comfortable dress. I do suggest that if you're planning to wear heels with this dress, order the longer length as it does not add material for length.

I received compliments on this dress all night long. I was at an event that honored outstanding women from our area, so the place was filled with women that were in everything from short work dresses to long elegant gowns, and I got stopped at least a half a dozen times by women wanting to know more about the dress. You will definitely need to wear spanx, as it would show everything otherwise. I wore a spanx short dress underneath and had to pull it up so that it wouldn't show at the slit area. I loved this dress and highly recommend it!

Absolutely stunning dress!!! The material was extremely comfortable, I wore the 12L and the length fell just right, I wore 4in' heels and I was still okay with the length of the dress. I am 5'3, full bust. The material has stretch to it so you will not be tight at all. It flowed beautifully and I received LOTS of compliments all night. I wish I could have purchased this to keep in my own collection. You will not be disappointed with this selection. I will definitely be using Rent the Runway again, Excellent customer service. My back up selection was not available so they sent me a few other selections to choose from just in case my 1st selection did not fit correctly, but it fit PERFECTLY.

The dress was a hit with everyone and was very comfortable and true to fit. It was very comfortable and loved the way it hugged my body. It was a little long on me because I'm very short (4'11"), but at least the heels helped a little bit! I would definitely recommend it.

I ordered both a size 14L and 12L. I ended up going with the 14 - I tried it on first and it was perfect; no need to try on the 12. I am 5"6 with longer legs, and the length was great with heels. Without heels would have been way too long. I got so many compliments on the dress all night! It was nice to feel comfortable while being dressed up!

I loved this dress. I would definitely rent it again. I was worried about the slit since many reviews said it was too high for their taste, but that was not the case for me. I wore this to a formal work event and did not feel like it was too provocative or revealing. It hugs your curves in all the right places. The material is quite thick/heavy, but it did not feel restricting. The length was perfect too. I am 5'4" and wore 3 inch heels and the length was right where it needed to be.

I had measured myself before ordering, and I picked the size that had my measurements and it fit perfect! Like the dress was made for me! The draping around the dress makes it so much more elegant and covers up the lower stomach area, which happens to be my problem area. The dress was about a half and inch short with my heels on (I am 5"2 and my heels were "4) but it didn't bother me because it was barley noticeable and it was easier to walk in that way. I received so many compliments and I would recommend this dress to everyone! It's very classy and slimming!
