I wear a 6 or 8, so the Medium fit well. Most importantly, I'm 5'11' and like to wear heels, so this is one of the few dresses on RTR that comes in an X-Long, a must! I was able to wear 3" heels and it was the perfect length. The jersey fabric has give, but it's made well so it drapes beautifully. Also liked the cross fabric in the front, which hides a little post-baby bump.

It was hotter than I thought for the Vegas weather, but I spent most of the time inside, casinos, clubs- all good.

I wore this dress to an inaugural ball and it was just lovely! I receive many compliments from both men and women, young and old. The dress was simple, but the timeless style and color made it stand out in the crowd. I also rented the bracelet in the picture. Although it doesn't show well in the picture, the bracelet added a nice pop of sparkle to the dress, and I would recommend a standout piece of jewelry to compliment the dress. It fit true to size, but did require 4 inch heels and still skimmed the floor. It was also very comfortable and forgiving, despite being a body hugging dress. I highly recommend this dress!

I wore this to a red carpet award ceremony, and I got so many compliments. The dress was very flattering and forgiving. It fit like a glove. I'm 5' 6" so I got the medium length, and with heels the dress was the perfect length. I felt like a million bucks and got so many compliments on the rich color. I even ended up winning an award that night- and I felt even more confident on stage because of the gown.

This dress was a re-order because the original order was too short. It was over nighted to me and arrived as promised which was great. It was perfect in length and size and very comfortable to wear. It is a deep purple in reality and the regular length, 58 inches is perfect with 2.5-3 inch heels on a 5'6" person. I added the sparkly broche at the waist in the photo to break up the monochromatic look and give it some sparkle. I received tons of great comments all night. Being 56 yrs old, it was very age appropriate as well.

This dress is extremely elegant and great for a black tie affair! It's really pretty in person - great color and ruching around the middle makes it a flexible fit. The back is also cool for an updo!

I wish I had an event to rent this dress for! It's a very simple cut, but the purple is beautiful, the fabric makes the dress so comfortable, and the twist in the front is super flattering. This dress would make you look so effortlessly elegant at any event.

Waist slimming, but the fabric shows every little mark. Careful w/ deodorant if you get it on this beautiful dress, you better hope the backup dress fits too because you can't get any marks off of it. Even water marks don't go away.

I'm only 5'4" and the regular length was JUST about too long. There were a couple of times I had to kind of pick up the skirt, but other than that it fit great! Super comfortable and easy to dance in!

This dress was absolutely perfect for my prom and was exactly what I expected it to be. The color is gorgeous- in photos it tends to photograph as a royal blue, but it's definitely much more purple in person. The jersey was extremely flattering and comfy to wear, and the back was beautiful. For cons: The zipper on this dress was TERRIBLE. That's really what brought it down to 4 stars. The fabric around the zipper is thick, so they should've made the zipper more industrious. Also, the end of the zipper stuck out under the top layer of the dress until I taped it down. The XS fit me better in the waist, but was too tight across the chest, so if you are bustier you might want to size up for a better fit. I managed to wear a regular bra with this dress, but sometimes it peeked out on the sides during photos, so I would recommend fashion tape. Overall, I was super happy with this dress, and was very sad to send it back. Thank you again RTR!

I was 4.5 months pregnant when I wore this dress to a black tie gala. I was nervous about finding a formal dress that would accommodate my baby bump and my growing bust line- but this dress was perfect. The waistline detail in the front is gorgeous. I'm 5'6" and I wore only 2.5 inch heels because even the "long" length is not long enough for taller heels, but that may be because my belly was pulling some of the length up in the front. The only thing that I would change is the amount of gathering in the back- it's a little too much and adds bulk to the back if you are already a curvy girl. That's just a preference thing though, because the dress overall was still beautiful, I got so many compliments that night!

I rented this for my sister-in-law's wedding. The dress was beautiful, but I think I would have been happier with a different dress. The waist looked like it would be slimming and maybe it was just not the best fit for me, but it found it was a little unflattering in some of the pictures that came from the wedding. I haven't seen any professional photos yet, but the ones I have seen seemed to make me look wider which is already an insecurity of mine. Again, a gorgeous dress, but if you have any worries of looking wide from straight on, I'd avoid this dress. Thankful for the insurance too, after my husband's cousin knocked into me, spilling champagne down the front (the material makes a drop of anything wet very noticeable)!

The color of this dress is stunning and the stretchy fabric is very comfortable!! The dress runs true to size but under the armpits, it was a bit snug on me. For this reason, I suggest sizing up in your back-up size - just to be safe!

The color was beautiful but the fit was terrible. I felt like a vienna sausague in this dress. The top is made for smaller busts, I'm a DD and this is not for me. Based on my experience if you are bigger than a C, just say no.

Fit was fine except length a bit long for 5'3" mom who did not want to wear 4 " heels. Zipper required 2 people to get up and down and it was not tight. Fabric had good stretch.

The "star rating" and size rating were chosen, because the system requires a choice be made. UPS delivered the gown...from that point, it became a mystery. I was terribly disappointed since I was looking forward to wearing it for my Goddaughter's wedding. However, I do want to say that Sabrina spent the better part of two hours trying to help me find an acceptable alternative. It just didn't happen as my second and third choices weren't available and I just couldn't come to terms with what choices I did have. I finally decided to wear something I already had in my closet. Based on RTR's efforts to resolve the problem and the kindness of their staff, I would definitely attempt this again. I really liked this gown!

I am 20 weeks pregnant and wore this to an October blacktie wedding, it worked great with the little bump and was very comfortable. I wore it with a strapless bra and nude 3in pumps and the length was fine!

The color is gorgeous. This is a dress I wish I could keep. The armholes are assymetical, which I didn't expect from the photos, but it made the dress more interesting. On first try, I wished I had ordered a size up. But Spanx make all the difference on this one.

I rented this gown for my stepson's wedding. It was the 4th dress I had chosen, so I was really afraid it would not fit or it would look bad and I would be in a mess! I was so HAPPY when it came and was perfect. It looked great on me, made me look like a toothpick, and had everyone commenting on how great "I" looked. (not how great the dress looked). My son is getting married in March and I will use RTR again. Super Experience!!!

I loved this dress! The color was really gorgeous in person! You do have to wear a strapless bra due to the exposed back! The fabric is really stretchy, so it is an easier fit; however, It is pretty fitted in the bust and waist so I would size up in backup if you are larger chested! Overall, a great dress for a formal event!

I am just about 5 months pregnant and need a dress that was stretchy and comfortable. I ordered a MR which is a size up from the SR that I usually wear but I'm glad I did because it fit my chest perfectly. Great color and very flattering!

This dress was really nice for an awards galla where formal attire was recommended but not required... simple, and easily dressed up with more or less accessories. None of the reviews indicated that it runs short however wearing it with 3" heels (making me 5'10") had the hem hanging a little above the ground, so take that into consideration. The arm hole on the left side was a little small and tight, but maybe not for someone with skinnier arms. Other than that it was comfortable and an easy wear

It fit perfectly all the way around. I loved the dress and so easy to handle. I'm very happy and would do it again.

This dress was sent to me when my back up size became unavaliable. I ended up not wearing this dress, it was very pretty but not for my event. The material is thick which would make this dress perfect for a fall/winter event.

The zipper on the dress was very hard to work and I was scared I was going to damage the dress so I didn't try very hard to get it zipped up. The bust on the dress was not very forgiving given that the dress ran S, M, and L and XL. I ordered the L based on the fact that I can usually wear that size in dresses with no problem. I should have requested the XL for a better fit in the bust, but from the waist down it was great. I may give this dress another chance if I have an opportunity.

Medium was a little tight through the bust, but it fit much better than the large.

Sadly I didn't get the chance to wear this dress because our function was postponed due to the snow storm. But the dress is really pretty, the length is perfect, the fabric is heavy and falls beautifully.

The dress length was a little long but it was fine with 2" heals as I am only 5'2" tall. I loved the color and the style of the dress was really nice. Like another customer had suggested, I wore a silver brooch at the waist line which dressed it up a bit.

This dress was sent to me as a last-minute back-up for a dress that was unexpectedly unavailable. I didn't wear it because it wasn't what I was going for. The dress is lovely and has thick, heavy fabric that would be flattering on all body types. It's a bit heavy for a summer event. I imagine it would be nice on a baby bump too. One thing to note - I have thin arms but the arm holes on the SR size were pretty tight. The asymmetric top is more noticeable in person than in the model photo.

I attended a wedding five months pregnant. I am also over six feet tall. It was very hard to find extra long dresses that had stretch and were flattering. This is pretty forgiving in the chest and very nice and stretchy throughout the belly. It flattered me without making my bump look bigger than it already was. Not my favorite style - but worked for the occasion.

Great color ... different style -- both great things. But, the zippers were awful. I waqs lucky to get the Medium to move enough to wear. The small was the right size, but the zipper wouldn't move even on the hanger. Odd flip of the dress in the back ... all things I read, but I rented it anyway. Rented the same designer the week before with rave reviews. Not so much on this one.

I rented this as my backup dress. The only issue I had with it was that it made me look wider in the stomach area. Maybe only I noticed it but I went with my other dress for that reason.

This dress was lovely, but ran small. The shoulders and bust were very tight, the hips a bit but not a big problem. I would have never thought I needed an extra-large but I would have worn it if I had not gotten a different dress as a backup. That other dress was not lovely in person, so went with this one and got lots of compliments but it was not as comfortable as it could have been.

I ordered a Large and I was really looking forward to wear this dress but unfortunately this dress is not made for women with a big bust. It fit great in all the right places, but after I zipped the dress up I was afraid that I would rip it.

I rented this dress for a black tie dinner. I wanted something that wasn't typical black so I was really attracted to this dress for the gorgeous color. However, I put it on and meh, it just didn't work for me. Perhaps with more curves this would be a better fit. For me the twist across the front seemed to hit the bottom of my rib cage and not the smallest part of my waist which was not flattering. The fabric is almost like a silk jersey so it does have some stretch.

I ordered this dress in a MXL and a LXL. The medium was the perfect length, but the neckline and arms were too small. The large was the perfect size, but the length was too short. Luckily, I called RTR and they sent me two additional gowns in time for my event. Phew!
