Stretchy material, not too clinging. If you have boobs, will accommodate. Works w a strapless bra. For dancing, the arm may fall slightly but doesn’t pull the dress down. I’d recommend for a formal event other than a wedding with dancing. Ended up wearing a different dress to Fight Night.

I'm 5'9 - 149 lbs. This fit me like glove! There is some stretch in the material but I would still order true to size. I would have loved the longer version of this, but the regular was just fine.

The dress was true to size and fit perfectly. The material was high quality and I received a ton of compliments! I would recommend this dress for any formal occasion. I wore it to a Mardi Gras ball. I danced in it and wore it for hours. It was very comfortable and allowed for lots of movement.

While it was a formal event, this dress made me stand out because of the sexy shoulder detail and its firey red color. It hugs the curves which I like, and for pictures, I was strategic about where I held my clutch (in front of the parts I wanted to hide). The material is very soft and comfortable. True to size (I ordered a size 10). I'm 5'5 and wore 3.5 inch heels and it still hit the ground but did not drag. Would definitely order again, I felt very sexy and elegant in the dress. Cons: I wore boob tape, and dress did slide down a bit throughout the night. Kept having to pull it back up to hide the tape. Would advise wearing double sided boob tape as well if you go the boob tape route.

I rented this dress for the White House Christmas Party and it did not disappoint. The long is a tad long, but with high enough heels it worked great! I got many compliments and it was very comfortable the whole night. I recommend wearing shape-ware underneath as it definitely hugs the body! If you want classy with a bit of sexy this is the way to go!

This is the dress if you want to make an impact! Love it! And it's RED. It's tight but very comfortable and allowed me to dance all night long.

I cannot say enough good things about this dress. I wore it to a Gala with 450 people and literally had people stop me to compliment the dress. My favorite was, "In a sea of black, this dress is a knockout." The photo shows shadows but hopefully gives a sense of overall look. It is fitted without being too tight. In fact, it is very comfortable. I wore it for 7 hours and could have kept it on. Good length for my height. For reference, I wore 3 inch heels with it. Even the little off-the-shoulder thing stayed in place all night. Rent this dress if you want to look & feel fabulous.

I wore this dress for a military ball in the Norfolk heat of late July. This dress wasn't too heavy, fit true to size and just looked absolutely fantastic. We jumped from the ball to a few other venues, and the dress was not too hot, was not too long and fit me like a glove. I got so many compliments in one night, LOVED this dress!

Wore a size 6L to a black tie September wedding in NY. Typically wear size 4 but nearly every review recommended sizing up due to the dresses tight fabric. DEF happy I trusted previous reviews as the size up 6L fit just right. This red dress caught my eye for its classic + glamorous vibe + it totally delivered! 10/10 would recommend. Felt amazing in it + could dance/sit comfortably!

I would have loved to wear this, but it was a little too formal for the wedding I attended. Beautiful dress! Hoping to have a black tie wedding or formal event that I can rent this for.

I normally wear size 0-2 or size XS/S. The 2R fit perfect and would highly recommend for a black tie wedding. The fabric is super comfortable but is body forming so it will show any lines for Spanx or bra. I wore no underwear and one nipple pedal. My 2 1/2 inch heals worked well, but the dress did slightly rub the floor but worked fine. I danced the night away and paired it with a snake skin purse also from RTR.

The material had substance and flowed absolutely perfectly, especially towards the bottom of the gown! Definitely true to size, however, the bust may have been just a tad too big, but it could have also been the hold in the bust and the under-slip does sometimes bunch. These were very minor and I made it work. The material was also very comfortable and I was able to eat/have cocktails and not feel uncomfortable. Although the material is thick, you will definitely want to wear proper undergarments, (as with any formal wear) as any imperfections will appear, especially in the thigh area. My height is 5'4" and I wore a 3.5 inch strappy black sandal and it was the perfect length. I felt like a Queen and received tons of compliments all night! I would surely rent again!

I rented the 4L because the regular wasn't available. The regular length would have been better! I'm 5'5" and even with 3.5 inch heels the dress was still a bit too long. Besides that it was perfect! I little double sided tape at the top and I never worried about it falling down. Would rent again!

This dress had a stretchy, flexible feel, but the fabric was thick so you felt that all the lumps wouldn't show and you could still eat dinner! I loved it and got so many compliments!

Absolutely loved this dress that was actually a backup originally! The dress has so much stretch (making it unbelievably comfortable), but is still perfectly form fitting! I got so many compliments and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a formal gown! I am 5'9 and the Long fit perfect with my heels!

This was the most beautiful and elegant dress I have ever worn. I wore it for a sorority formal and it was the perfect match. So comfy and the material fit like a glove. I am 5'8 and the only flaw was that it was a tad short so I couldn't wear heels.

Gorgeous dress, received so many compliments. The size 6L was the perfect amount of snug and give for me. I could've maybe squeezed into a 4 but the dress shows everything (hello spanx), and felt comfortable moving around in a 6L. When wearing 3" heels the dress hit the ground at a perfect length. A little trouble keeping the cross-shoulder sleeve up and fashion tape helped.

Love this dress. The fabric has stretch to it so it will hug your curves. Order your size or maybe down a size if your not very curvy. Tape down the black hanger loops inside the dress before you wear it. Also smooth shape wear. It will show any bumps or seams. I ordered a one size too big, regular length and I did have to pull it up on occasion because it was a tad long. I'm 5'4 and wore 3inch heels. Definitely wear this dress. I loved it. Felt very old Hollywood.

I carefully read all of the prior reviews, which made me somewhat confident that this dress would be a great choice - and it was! I wore this to a black tie event - I was choosing between this dress and a black dress with gold accents (which, ironically, someone at the event had on), and I am so very glad I chose this dress. I got the 16L for backup, but it was too big. The material of this dress hugged my curves perfectly and was very comfortable. My only complaint was the lining of the dress is completely unnecessary and more of a nuisance because it can bunch up some. Be prepared, as others stated, to wear some quality/firm shapewear underneath to smooth you out, because the dress will show everything (even though it is opaque, it is more the bumps and lumps underneath that would stand out if your undergarments are not fitting properly). I thought about going braless, but my boobs are WAY too large for that. I had a comfortable strapless bra underneath (again, a smooth/molded cup) and the fabric of the dress lay over it well. I am 5'7" and wore maybe 3.5", I think, strappy black heels and the L length was perfect for me - I did not trip over the dress one time and I felt I could move freely. I gained quite some weight during COVID so I was self-conscious about fitting into a dress that would still look stylish - this one was perfect for me. If it weren't so expensive to purchase, I would have bought and kept it for future. Thanks RTR for a great first rental!
