Sized up and it was still very tight across hips/abdomen

Another client showed a picture with a pretty slip under covering the really high slit and that worked great. Dress does run really small. Sleeves are long, but that's wasn't a huge issue for me. I actually got a lot of compliments on this dress even though it wasn't my favorite.

Cute for work, slit makes it sexy but not too out there. So many compliments, it's so comfy, makes you look good, and flattering. Rented it multiple times!

I rented for work and if I could have gotten it zipped I would have worn it- slit and all!! Very pretty - will have to lose some more weight and try again..! I'm a solid 14 and sleeves were too long so a 16 may zip but would probably not look right.

Loved the fun blue ruffles. FYI the slit is very high and revealing especially when sitting down. The arms were a little loose at the wrist (not too noticeable) but overall a beautiful dress.

The slit is ridiculous. This can be overcome with a strategic slip as shown. This dress is classic and simple with a bit of elegant flair. It is comfortable though tends to be warm because of long sleeves and the material.

Great material, got compliments on the structure and look. Was a great length as long as I was standing. A bit short when I sat.

Really nice fabric, lined, adorable ruffles. This would be great for an event where it is ok to show thigh up to the level of your pubic bone. Otherwise, don't make this selection.

The slit on this dress is really high. Inappropriate for work (for me) high. Could I have mitigated this with a larger size? maybe. But the sleeves were already loose and long; a bigger size would have made it worse. I loved the look it just wasn't right for work.

The slit was not evident in the model picture, but it is REAL and makes this dress unwearable for work.

Didn’t get to wear because I couldn’t get it on. Definitely size up with this brand.

I ordered a size 16 but the dress fit more like a size 12. I could not wear this dress.

I love the slits on the side of the dress, and it is cute when worn although maybe a little ridiculous if not for the right occasion. I have broader shoulders so these felt tight for me, though the waistline was perfect. Would look better on someone taller.

This dress runs small and I didn’t wear it. The slit goes very high up on the thigh, which wasn’t clear from the pictures.

Couldn't wear. Runs very small, I'm a size 12 and I sized up and still could not even get my arms comfortably in. I thought the slit wouldn't be much of a problem with stockings or shorts underneath for work but I was incredibly wrong. Would not wear for anything except a party or a date night, not work appropriate at all. For a party though, in a size that fits - it'd be a stunner.

Design is pretty but only works if you have small breast and small butt. I had to return this item and did not get to wear it to the event.

This was a great dress. The only thing I would say is that if you are tall and have long legs, the slit is very high. Very attractive if you want to show your leg. But sometimes hard to sit down. If wearing to an event not appropriate for a lot of leg exposure, you should think twice or plan to wear pantyhose/tights.

Fits right across chest. Slit on the side is so high when u sit down it goes all the way almost to your underwear. But overall nice thick well made dress w hint of color

Gorgeous dress, made me feel tall and slim and polished. Slit is sky high, which made it inappropriate for the wedding I was attending, but would wear this in a heartbeat to a trendy work formal or a dressy date night. Would not recommend for busty women, I'm a B cup and the dress was comfortably tight enough and thick enough to go with or without a bra. Go with drop or sparkly earrings, and both blues in the dress are amazing if you want to pick up the color.

As other reviews have said, this dress runs small. I am between a 4 and a 6 in most brands. I rented a 6 and it was tight! The slit is also very high. I was able to wear it to work with opaque black tights but otherwise it would have been inappropriate for a professional setting. But with tights it was perfect. Got lots of compliments on it and was able to wear it both to work and then to a social event at a wine bar in the evening. Worked very well for both.

It was extra small to me, and though I read about the infamous slit, I didn't expect it to be as high as it was. In my mind, I could pull this off, but I couldn't get there to wear on this go round. MIGHT rent again for an out of town date night...somewhere where I won't run into anyone I know!

It's huge in the waist and hips narrow in the shoulders ... not for me

Sadly I couldn't wear this. I pulled it on and it looked amazing but the back didn't come close to zippering. I would say go two sizes up but the arms are very big. You'll most likely have to roll the sleeves under and note that they will probably be a bit baggy. But the dress really is awesome and worth a try.

Beautiful dress, sleeves were too tight. Split EXTREMELY high. Doesn't (split) work well for hippy/curvy women as it doesn't lay right. Nonetheless, it's beautiful.

Beautiful dress, good quality, fits true to size. The only problem is that the dress has a very high slit that was not evident in the photos.

Loved the color pop and the dress is remarkable - but whoa - the side slit goes WAY up. I have a long torso, so this dress was likely shorter than it would be on someone else - but the way it fit me the slit was unacceptably high (to my hip).

I ended up not being able to wear it because i couldn't zip it up. get a size bigger than you usually wear. The slit in the leg is very very high. i had it for work and even if it has fit, i would have been uncomfortable wearing it to work due to the slit.

Did not wear it.
