Flattering and a bit sexy because of the slit. I wore this to a work event but I do think it's pushing it in the sexy department. I love the ruffle detail. The fit of the dress doesn't exactly cover up your tummy and when I got bloated I felt self-conscious. I wouldn't mind having this dress in my closet but it doesn't leave much room for gaining a pound or two. The fit is true to size but looks tight because of the cut of the dress, especially if you have bigger curves.

This dress fits like a glove if you have curves. Stunning! It has some stretch. But def not appropriate for work. The skit is sooo high. I got it for a work event and once I tried it on I realized I could never wear this to a business/professional setting. Luckily it was a remote work conference. Perhaps better suited to a cocktail party. But other than that was fantastic and the colors were awesome

Loved the color and everything. Hugged the right parts of my body. Would only not give it 5 stars because the cut is a little too high up the thigh, so when youre sitting your leg is uncovered basically - but everything else 10/10!

First off, I LOVED this dress. The color is beautiful, the construction is great, it fit like a glove... so so perfect! However, the slit is a bit much. I'm all for a little flair, but this dress is not work appropriate as is all because the slit in front. I had to close it up a bit with three safety pins. Had the slit not been so extreme I would have purchased this dress.

In my industry this was appropriate but I wouldn't recommend for work if you have a conservative culture. Fit perfect, very flattering. Loved it with white sneakers!

Love this dress, but BEWARE, the slit is alarmingly high!!!!! Very hard to tell from the pic of the model, but it his very very high on the thigh. Not really work appropriate despite me working in a startup. I was worried all day both walking and sitting down despite having safety pinned it. Otherwise, the dress was gorgeous, very comfortable, and I would love to own it. It does sit high on the neck, so if you don't like clothes touching your neck this is not the dress for you. Would rent again for a weekend!

I loved this dress but the slot is VERY high, especially when sitting down, it rises to the VERY TOP of my thigh. Probably shouldn't have worn it to work, but hey.

This dress was amazing! So comfortable and sexy with the slit up the side. I like the different color accents on the dress; I wore it with bright nails and lip. Definitely easy to dance in and can wear a regular bra. This designer runs small so go up a size or it could be tight in the hip or stomach. Highly recommend this dress!

I have been eyeing this dress for a while and read all the amazing reviews. As soon as I had an excuse to wear it, I ordered it. It is as advertised. Fit is perfect, colors pop, I love everything about this form fitting, true to size dress. Will definitely rent for another occasion.

A nice sheath with some added excitement in the ruffles and slit. The slit is high so be careful when sitting if you have a long torso or legs!

I had a feeling the dress wouldn't have enough "wow" for me for the holiday party I ordered it for. Thankfully my backup dress was amazing and fit me like a glove. I ended up wearing this dress to an evening office event instead. This dress fit like a classic sheath. It's true to size but has little to no give and a little snug across the bust. The slit is very high; I wore nude stockings which made me less concerned about it, sitting or standing.

I did read the reviews and was forewarned about the slit, but it came right up to the pelvic area on me:) Somehow it still works, you just have to be careful how you position when sitting but it actually lends itself to looking really cute with knee high boots. Very comfortable and easy to wear.

Material is nice - the little bit of stretch made it comfortable all night. Be prepared to show most of your thigh when seated.

Like many others, I didn't read the reviews and rented this for work. Thigh slit is quite high. I ended up wearing to a Friday evening wedding. I had to use my napkin to cover my upper thigh at dinner. Otherwise this dress is HOT but sophisticated looking.

I love the look and feel of this dress but found myself constantly watching the slit. I was careful how I sat and stood all day.

This dress has a flattering body fit. The side slit is very high on the thigh, so I was concerned. But it actually looks sexy while remaining classy enough. The dress color/style reminds me a little of a circus. But it looks GREAT on camera. Fiance opinion is most important. He didn't say anything, but when prompted, said "it's good...much better than last time."

This dress is elegant, classy and absolutely perfect...except the slit, which on me goes up all the way to my upper thighs. I liked how sexy it is but it made it difficult to sit down (see pic) or walk up or down stairs confidently. The cut of dress is otherwise conservative enough for work or a formal party, but the slit kind of takes it out of either the formal or casual realm. That said, I wore it to work (with a long cardigan) and then to a party, pairing with primary colors--red heels and bag, yellow jewelry. FWIW, the slit might work better on shorter women or those who are less curvy around their hips and thighs.

I love Back Halo bc they always fit. Tried this on and while the fit was perfect the front slit was extremely high. I wore it for about an hour while I got ready to see if the dress would relax or I would get over it, and ultimately took it off. I couldn't bring myself to wear it to the office. The distance between the top of the slit and where my hip creases is about 3 inches. Could be fun for a night out, but not for the office.

I actually didn’t pick this dress out. RTR sent along with another backup dress because my original backup dress was either returned late or wasn’t in a good state for me to wear. This dress isn’t really my style but is cute. Although the dress fit, the fun ruffles adds a little bulk to your body which made me feel uncomfortable with how I looked in it.

Wore this to work and felt professional all day. There's not much give to it. I'd say the 8 felt more like a 6 for that reason. It's lined and thicker, so my jiggly bits held in well.

This dress can be worn to work and then to an after work shindig. I bought this for the election season and wore to events at the DNC…it was super cute. The dress is short with a sexy subtle slit. I should’ve bought it.

I didn't end up wearing this because I have wide hips and larger thighs. I didn't realize how incompatible that was with the slit - just because it goes so high up, the slit would have been permanently open exposing about 6 horizontal inches of my thighs. That's a lot in the first place, but since the slit goes to high, it was definitely impossible to wear. Just consider your shape before buying - I wish it could have worked for me because it was gorgeous!
