Because of the extra material- which helps cinch the waist- I had a slight struggle zipping it but once I made it past the hump, it was smooth sailing. Black Halo understood the assignment with this one! The neckline is everything and takes it from a basic black dress to a BAM black dress. Rent! Rent! Rent!

Perfect for work

I loved wearing this - I felt very confident. Quality and fit were superb.

Beautiful and comfortable black halo dress. The fabric is a bit different than others by the designer but flattering, a little bit more stretchy and almost puckered. Neckline and seams made kept it from being basic.

I rented both the 12 and 14. And unfortunately, stress eating made the 14 the right choice. It was gorgeous and I got so many compliments all day and night. I wore it for my parents funeral, internment and remembrance dinner. It allowed me to fill all the rolls and movement the day required. Would absolutely rent it again, however, I hope I don't ever have to.

Definitely size down! I'm usually a 6 in this label, which runs snug, and I followed RTR's advice go down a size. It was perfect. Loved the unique neckline and fabric!

Loved the fit of this dress but there is a slit in the back that goes up higher than I would have liked. It was still work appropriate but slightly worrisome. Also, just a note: there's shoulder pads.

I wore this to my brothers funeral & cant tell you how many times I got compliments even there. I am about a size 6 with bigger top so i took the advice to size up to 10 according to people with same frame & was worried it was be huge but it zipped up snuggly. It was perfect and comfortable for the entire day.

A little low for work if you are busty, but otherwise great.

Overall I loved this dress. Super work appropriate with a fun neckline (some cleavage hint but not a ton). I’m 4’11 so the dress went below my knees, but still great in a professional setting.

Loved this dress! Perfect black dress for any event. I have a couple Black Halo dresses and this was the first one in my size that fit perfectly. Not too tight; easy to move in and it looks elegant but not over the top.

Love this dress- perfect for throwing on with heels when you need to impress, but very comfortable. If you have a larger chest, the neckline can be a bit revealing. Perfect dress to transition of you have an event or date after work!

This dress has the best silhouette, accentuates in all the right places. Received a lot of compliments. My husband wants me to buy it.

Beautiful fabric and fit. I usually wear a 12 and definitely needed the 14 but it fit perfectly. Good black dress. Shows some cleavage but not too much. Would rent again.

I rented this as a backup dress for a memorial. It fit beautifully and looked great, but I chose not to wear it because the fabric was rather thick and it was a warm day (temperature around 80F/27C). It would have been perfect had the weather been a little cooler, early/late summer or late spring/early fall temperatures.

I wore this to a funeral and it was a very nice dress, the fabric was beautiful and fit like a glove. The zipper was a little stuck on the 2r.

I love a great LBD, this was sophisticated and sexy. If it weren't for the price tag i would've bought this one, and will likely rent again. I will say if you're a little bustier a larger size might be more conservative. It does have shoulder pads which made a blazer on top look too boxy for my taste... but again this dress is stunning.

I actually did not wear this dress because I needed a size 8. It looked fabulous on but I knew I would not be comfortable sitting in it at work.

Shoulder pads worked in this dress. The armholes were cut a bit big imo. The slit was flattering and not too high.

Nice dress but not my favorite black halo. Material is heavy and not as comfortable as other similar dresses. Shape is nice. Longer on petite.

I always size up in Black Halo because of my chest, but the reviews said this runs large, so I didn’t. I wish I would have as I couldn’t zip it. The material is great, crepey style. I would recommend, just get a size up if you have a DD+ chest.

I rented this for a funeral but ended up wearing something else. The chest was pretty tight and hard to zip the back by myself. Overall, the dress is very appropriate for a wake/funeral, good length and high enough neckline.
